A much better game today without many distractions!
better chemistry, less talk-over,no meta-moments, better team work. ye, maybey smaller groups work better. i enjoyed this a bunch, time flies when having fun right? time flew :) aka I enjoyed watchting this :) Thanks Cast and Bill for giving me enjoyment in my spare time :)
It's not the that the group is smaller, it's the main instigators are gone. Carl and Matt are not bad people, they just are better suited to more of a "fun-house" style game rather than a (semi-)serious narrative one.
An epic 45 minute showdown between the Pig-Rider mercenary troupe and the Dread Rug of Doom, Lord Ruggington the Vile. Love it.
This group work well together! I love how enthusiastic Sam is
A character with invisibility who was headed towards the temple earlier, who wouldn't attack the party but would have no qualms about watching their hapless antics with the magic rug. Now how many grumpy old acidic dragonborn spellcasters do we know who could do that? 🤔
So a warlock, a bard, a rogue and a druid walk into a dungeon...
That sounds like the worst Goblin Slayer episode yet...
that sounds like a bad intro to a joke
@@trodat07 You could take this whole season turn it into an anime and it would be a better anime than goblin slayer and better entertainment that is for sure.
Syrup! Stirrup! Spurs!! I'm dying lol.
Best episode so far in my opinion. For me the less combat the more interesting as they have to think.
I would agree completely.
that high pitched no!!! signals that this new group is more interested and eager to play D&D
these 4 are perfect together
Great session everyone, Sam has entered the spiderverse now. I love the T shirt idea. Have a great weekend can’t wait for the next episode.
4 players + DM = classic D&D configuration. Nice, smooth session.
It is how the Players Handbook, Monster Manual & Dungeon Master Guide ASSUME an standard adventure would be executed.
. It is ALSO expected to have a _balanced party_ : "Tank" (the tiefling paladin), "Healer" (could be the Elf Druid), "Magic Damage" (the Aasimar Warlock) & "Scout" (the Tabaxi Rogue).
-> In this case, the party does not have a proper TANK (the druid COULD take on this roll via her "enhanced" beast transformation -> "Giant Hyena" as an ablative_HP tank); but it still lacks a real healer (the bard & the druid can only do basic "anciliary support" healing via bonus actions if they also have to deal damage and/or tank).
So they must be strategic with their cover (defensive), instead of tactical with their flanking (offensive).
thank you thank you
Worth the wait! best episode since first season! They really got into the game, it was awesome
I think this team works waaay better than the original one (sorry).
Bill, now that the party is split into 2, could we get 2 episodes per week from the 2 different groups? Plsplsplspls :D
Nice try into getting Bill doing 2 episodes
I knew that "We will find out next episode" was coming.. still reacted as the player ahah This was one of the funniest episodes yet, not much has happened but I was laughing all the time, even at the animal abuse i must confess ^^
Really like the group split, even if it crushed my dreams of a prison break episode with Cademan and Yomi - chained together!
I love how every time someone tries to jump the rug Bill goes "yeh, roll a d4" which is not the die to make a save (like a Dex save), yet everyone keeps trying anyway 😂 They didn't lay the clue between the d4 and the 4 directions someone could fly at all apparently
OMG "pinche carajo" lol as a Hispanic I approve this message XD was waiting for the episode since the post you put up a bit ago. Was worth the wait, great cliffhanger. I bet it's ralof and the others are further in the dungeon
All of the ones that were in this episode you can tell they are really enjoying playing D&D. I would not be surprised if they kept playing D&D after this.
Good teamwork - nice with the faerie fire...
They are becoming pro.
About to go to my first D&D session. Thanks Allan for getting me interested in it.
Awesome!! Hope it's fun!
@@BillAllanWorld It didn't go as plan, so I have to DM next Saturday session even tho I never DM before lol.
Thanks for posting vids gives me an idea how to DM.
@@blank1blank249 Eyyyyy.
How did the session go?
@@sniffingdogartofficial7257 The session went well. 3rd session coming this week.
Being DM is hard tho lol 💀
45:00
That must have been incredibly satisfying,
it was somewhat ok on my end, aside from the vicious assault on my ears.
That aside, this was a great episode Bill, and if they did practice friendly fire I sure hope someone bought some healing potions.
After all, wouldn't want to use up any spell slots just yet, you never know what's ahead.
(Like Doom Rugs™, apparently.)
Nickolas, I am very glad to hear that you enjoyed the episode. I truly love Doom Rugs !! LoL!!
When your players screaaaam in agony... You know you've made a great cliffhanger ;)
STOP ATTACKING THE RUG - best catchphrase ever ! I nearly peed myself
"I got spurs that jingle jangle jingle" lol
OH yes !!! FRIDAY ! 1st in line TONY - I LOVE YOUR JACKET MAN , straight 70's FUNK-o-Tastic my man , only you or The Temptations can pull that off HAHAHA !
Nice
I have to admit that this smaller group works together so much better and is less chaotic then the full group
I'm sad no one tried to roll up the rug
Yeah, me too. We'll see if any of them read the comments and maybe try it during next session...
Genius
Much better game. You must be so pleased Bill. Kill the rug ! These players are all into it, good on you guys. This is quality gaming ! Sam, so good to hear foreign language in this game with so many diverse races. So much enthusiasm and respect, I am truly uplifted !
Bill "Roll a D4" Allan.
Amazing episode as always Bill! Your series is what got me into D&D so I want to say thank you!
Ah, I am humbled. Thank you for your support, and may you find adventures wherever you roll your dice!
Bill Allan *gasp* You replied! :) you just made my mediocre day into a amazing one!
LOL, That's how to keep viewers coming back. Always end it on a cliffhanger. XD
Dude, that cliffhanger though! I can't wait to find out what the guy looks like and what happens next!
Omg Best episode ever 😍😍
Okay. Like...one other comment has pointed this out...that outline is CLEARLY Yomi. Went to the temple earlier...has invisibility...humanoid outline and tall... CLEARLY
perhaps.....
5 years late(?) but hot damn, we had to go through several hard sessions to get this point but it feels so refreshing.
Thanks for watching! Hopefully you have subscribed and you'll enjoy the other seasons. All of the seasons take place in my original world of Kikapulan, with interconnected storylines, NPCs, and plots.
The barbarian at the end shamelessly promoting the channel content winds up pointing to...nothing. You'll need to insert the links accordingly.
That being said, great episode, and I hope we see one more before the end of the year. Happy Holidays!!
My word this was a great episode today! I totally feel the kids at the end NOooo, not cool indeed Bill!
Good homebrew! I'm getting more interested in the story with each episode.
Vespers is 6pm (Sunset). You would be thinking of Terce, which is 9am if you are doing liturgy of the hours.
Could it be the faiths of Bill's world subscribe to a different time table?
@@paulhalcott5824 My headcannon is that the "equinox" festivities also have a correspondent "extra" religious rites that must be performed suplementary to all of the standard ones [so you should expect that dwarf earth cleric to be on the temple doing ~something~ all the time he is not sleeping throught the celebrations]; while on a normal week the place would be empty most hours of the day.
Thank you.
damn this is the funnyest episode ever!!! i'm dying of laughter since the 30:00 mark! hahahahah
Enforce a turn order regardless of whether they are in combat. It's the only way to reign in the chaotic crosstalk.
Good tip. I'm going to try and have one of the players manage an initiative board / tracker, so we shall see if this works.
FINALLY! Just in time so I can watch this before my Sunday D&D session (Dungeon of the made mage). I made a fallen Aasimar warlock Bill!
EXCELLENT!! Hope you have amazing adventures!
The made mage. He is an Italian mob boss.
Is Carls character Raloff gonna make appearances to thin the herd as needed in your world? I love that idea. Matt was acting up and murdered Innocents then is now not with the party lol
hmm
Tony rolls his dice like a man-baby! lololol!
Tony's method of rolling dice complete with his upheld hand gesture might become the next Internet meme.
LoL
I almost died I was drinking a coke while watching and almost died of choking
Hahaha!!!! Nice cliffhanger. Wow this was less painful to watch. Oh that's right there was no obnoxious Dragonborne looking for combat and complaining that there wasn't any.
Ha ha!! Yes, your sentiment is felt by many.
@@BillAllanWorld maybe start up a HeroQuest with high school students ;-)
Much better! Everyone is pulling in the same direction.
P.S. *Take the rug!!* Figure out how it works. It sounds like it can be useful in several situations. Remember magic items are rare in Bill's world, don't pass this up.
Yes! The main reason you raid a dungeon is to loot the place!
The best loot is the things the dm didn't expect you to take and abuse af later in the campaign.
OH MY GOD THE PLAYERS NEED TO TAKE THIS ADVICE
Actually, the BEST loot can be the dungeon itself!
Always be on the lookout for a place to call home. But the earth cułt would probably complain if you claimed this one, and you want a better one anyway. Keep your eyes open for a dungeon with a good layout, lots of traps and like a moot filled with man eating electric eels or something.
And don't forget: every damsel in distress or rescued slave girl is a potential maid for hire to take care of your lair while you're out adventuring!
@@ebg13 I never thought about that... but now that you mention it, it does sound kinda obvious. I guess I never played the same character/party long enough, or became rich enough to require such a lair. On the other hand, if you slay that dragon and get the dragon hoard, or whatever.. you can just buy... or build your own castle... that could also be fun.
Sadly, I don't think these students will ever get to that point, since they will all leave school (and the group) in the not too distant future...
Also... not just rescued females can be hired (or enslaved... because that's also an option for evil players - "evil", depending on the morality of society in the world, etc...) -- Anyone (regardless of gender or race) willing to be hired, for any job (mercenaries, architects & engineers for your castle/town, guards, spies, adventuring parties to go look for treasure/info etc...), paid or unpaid (like npc friends, indentured servitude, life oaths, slaves, summoned demons ... and then pets (like a Cerberus or monster to guard your hoard), and livestock for lower life forms).
It all depends on your imagination (and wit, wealth, and power)! You can become a queen or king or even a god! Many of the worlds we play in were crafted by the adventures the DMs were in. I bet parts of Bill's world has similar roots.
It's like the song: "I've got spurs that jingle, jangle, jingle..." LMAO
LoL
Awesome, awesome, awesome!
Thank you!
well, somthing tells me that the party wont last to the second room in this place
The Early AM Chant (called Divine Office) is called "Matins."
Just to pick a nit, vespers is evening services. Matins is in the morning. 😋
6:50 the thing that he’s talking about are called Spurs (the thing on cowboy boots to make the horse go faster)
Yes! Thank you!!
Bill Allan well I actually knew that and I’m a junior in high school but the reason I know about them is because most of my grandparents own horses
y did no one even try picking up the rug
Keep watching...
nice
also fallout new vegas. Gotta get them spurs
My 2nd favorite game next to Skyrim !!
I highly recommend giving Exanima a gander, it's quite different and difficult, but extremely satisfying once you get the hang of things.
are they doing this once a week or once every 2 weeks i love the intro tho
Normally every Friday, but last week got jacked up.
Once a week, last week their schedules didn't add up.
@@BillAllanWorld But will there be an episode with the other part of the group before, or will we se them the next friday?
@@ebg13 yes... prepare yourself
@@BillAllanWorld can't wait to see it, they didn't have any problems in the prelude ep, so i think it will be good.
Bill Allan is Beecher's archer nemesis really an old rug? plz make his guy have a nightmare one night of him getting chased by a creepy old rug salesman lmao. Or of the rug its self sorry just had to get that out but i wanted to say that was a good episode i liked it
What rogue archetype does the tabaxi have?
Yes thats what i want to know!
Yayyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The ending!! I kinda hate you right now Bill!!!
Love you, Tilia !!
A rug riddle. A ruggler.
LoL
Yet another great session!
Was really fun watching and seeing them struggle with the rug puzzle ;)
And it was great seeing them getting creative with their characters!
Also, this is the same dungeon that Willie and Trixie explored, right?! :D
Yes indeed.
Thumbnail has advantage*
thanks!
Yeeeees !!
You REALLY need to do something with those mics, either add some sort of AGC to them, or gag the friggin players so they cant yell (I like the latter option best). I get the volume adjusted so I can hear everyone's normal voice and suddenly my speakers are busting out of their cases and my neighbors are yelling at me because they can hear my stuff 2 doors down the hall.
Yes, I know. It's pretty bad in the early part of season 3. But we eventually got a handle on it.
Could they have rolled up the rug,and what would have happened? If they could can they have taken therug with them?
Hey Bill, I’m a new DM but I decided to make my own world, religions magic system like a whole shebang, will I regret this?
Natalie Spain heh heh that depends. I’ve been working on mine since 1998...
Lol, spurs.
YESSS we got rid of the worse ones
i'm not sure if this is an actual campaign from wizards or not. pretty sure its your own made up story. and if it is GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All of my content is from my original world; nothing published. Thank you for the compliment.
Is Matt & neely no longer playing?
Yes, both of them had to drop out. Neely's character Mantra was then picked up by Beth, as you'll see in future episodes of season 3 and then in season 4 - The Vixens.
