Currently Indian Navy has 2 Aircraft carriers. One Russian based INS Vikramaditya and another is INS Vikrant, the Vikrant Carrier is d latest one which is indigenously built and commissioned in 2022, took 11 years to built as it was first attempt ever. And also developing TEDBF Naval Fighter jet for Vikrant Carrier as Russian naval jets r good but always under maintenance. And US F18's Super hornets just lost contract to French Dassult Raffel Naval jets selected by Indian Navy over US jets in 2023 over the concern that US may use F18 to bully India in Geopolitics matters. French jets are being acquired in less quantities as a stop gap measure till d time Indian Naval TEDBF Naval jets are ready for commissioning by 2034 as it's design and initial testing phase is completed and funds are being awaited from d Government for Prototype production and Long process of testing and certification.

1:30 Indeed. It would be great if others could also follow the Indian example. For example, India and Bangladesh had a maritime boundary dispute. Instead of fighting, both went to the International Court of Justice in Hague for a fair and civil trial to settle the dispute. The court ruled AGAINST India and awarded the entire disputed sea area totaling a staggering 20,000 sq. km to Bangladesh. India simply accepted it. This happened between 2012 and 2017.
Militarily, India had invaded Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) in 1971 within just 13 days! And that was when India's GDP was less than some cities like London or Paris. So today, India could _very_ easily just take military control of that sea area, justice be damned. But India did not do it. Because India abides by international law if that law has been signed by India at the UN.
But then, the exact same thing happened with China and Philippines in 2016, maritime dispute went to the same court (ICJ, Hague) and the court ruled against China. Yet China publicly refused to acknowledge the ruling and as you can see on the news today, that dispute has only accelerated.
And the same thing happened in 2019 in case of USA+UK vs a bunch of island dwellers in Chagos Archipelago. Dispute went to the same court which ruled against USA+UK. But guess what. UK and USA
are still there, on what they call Diego Garcia. Whilst the island dwellers themselves have been thrown out and are living elsewhere for decades now.
World really would be a much better place if nations just stayed within the confines of their borders and helped out folks in the global commons (oceans, space, etc).

INDIA needs to increase its military budget to $100 billion (which is currently around $75 billion) to counter increasing threats by china and its lunatic neighbor Pakistan.

They are not pointing at people. They are saluting the PM and President with their guns.

11:18 I'd actually like to partially disagree with that. Although the exact TO&E of each and every military unit is not publicly known at all times, especially because it keeps on changing, that said, there are _very_ few capabilities that are actually secret from the public eye. One example from recent history that I can think about is the Indian Air Force's 102nd Squadron, which used to operate the MiG-25 Foxbat. That jet could fly almost as fast as the SR-71 Blackbird. Indeed, both the Blackbird in the USAF and MiG-25 in the IAF performed the same role in both Air Forces: Recon. And in both cases, the capability remained a secret for a few years initially (in India's case, it was unvieled when Pakistani public in some city heard an Indian Foxbat go Mach 3 supersonic over their heads in 1997, the Pak military already knew about such sorties being regular but they couldn't do anything but watch as it was too fast and flying too high (80,000 feet) to be targeted by any Pakistani weapon).
In the near future, the few capabilities that India will likely have secretly would be:-
A spaceplane to kidnap or disable enemy satellites (based on the already flying ISRO RLV-TD).
An ICBM capable of hitting 14,000 km away (although, to prevent USA from getting alarmed, we'll probably keep it a secret by downplaying the range to somewhat like 10,000 km).
A Particle Beam Weapon (Electron-beam "LASER") to destroy circuitry in enemy missiles, drones, jets, satellites and ships (based on the KALI project that has been ongoing for about two decades now).
A non-nuclear EMP bomb based on an Explosively Pumped Flux Compression Generator (not that secret if I already know about it, but even among the Indian defence enthusiast community, its not well known).
^We know these exist or are within the realm of capability of the Indian boffins, but we'll never know when these will be made operational. Although it'll only be in small numbers. Any weapon system deployed in a large number is ALWAYS known to the public. Because of a very simple method: You just track the ORBAT of a military. Any weapon that gets deployed in numbers greater than a few tens will ALWAYS be public.

I would suggest the video titled: "Indian Defence Strategy - Forces, Potential and Procurement Disasters"
    by channel: "Perun"
^This is the ONLY high quality video on the Indian military and Indian weapons industry that has ever been created by a foreigner on YT. And it is at the level of quality where even I could only spot only a couple of minor flaws. This is a perfect video to understand the _reality_ of Indian military and the challenges India is facing in making its own weapons from scratch.
