I don't know where this came from, but this kind of a travesty ... this is the guitar amp tape played at the wrong speed. Lou sounds like Mickey Mouse ... Better versions can be found, probably here on YT, if not then a web search will do.
This is a too fast, sonically inferior version of the guitar amp tape from march 15, 1969. One day I may find my disc and post the fantastic version of the whole show.
there's nothing like Sister Ray. my absolute favourite track by the Velvets!
Incredibly sick track - never the same - - - press the distortion and fuzztone button!
R.I.P. Lou
i am so sure when i hear a john cale sister ray vs a doug yule sister ray. there is no comparing the two.
This is a bit faster than the actual recording of the performance but oml its so funny hearing Lou Reed and mistaking him for Mickey Mouse
@COGENTCOG No, it's 3/15/69. See "LIVE PERFORMANCES & REHEARSALS" section of The Velvet Underground Web Page.
They perform songs from the third album in this performance.
Anyone can easily hear where Sonic Youth got their roots -
definitely a john cale performance. so it couldnt be 69, could it?

Is John cale playing? Sounds amazing distortion
Is that Moe's voice?
Don't be so sure. (eye roll) See my comment below.
