really helpful. Im planning on going there pretty soon thanks for the info!
Glad I could help :)
Gate is closed so it's an hour walk from the powerlines now due to logging. Still a great hike and as of 9-2-24 the flow was all fresh due to last week's storm! Crystals everywhere. 🎉
Very helpful for a newbie, thanks for posting!
You are welcome. I have many more vids with sites you can check out :)
👍Thanks for sharing.
No problem 👍
Pulled some pretty awesome amethyst out of there. Tons of quartz too. Great clusters and twins
Glad you found some nice stuff!
Thanks, great video!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the info. 🎸
You bet!
I haven’t been there in probably 20 years. You could drive up to it back in the day
There are large road blocks boulders and a walking path now
You forgot to show us your finds .. A few of them did have a point. Good hike .. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed the hike! We will post some photos of the cleaned up finds on our Instagram @rubblerockandgem
I have been there twice, but I found it steep and difficult, and I found very few crystals, most small. If anyone wants to go there, please wear good, supportive shoes like hiking boots or really strong sneakers.
Rockhounding is always a bit of a gamble - hope you had a fun day out digging!
@@RubbleRockAndGem I didn't at Hansen Creek, but I had a lot more fun digging for crystals in Maine and Arkansas. So much easier and not so steep.
Is it still open to public?
No
When did it close? It has been open to RockHounds for decades.
@RubbleRockAndGem I went there about a month ago and it was closed. I complained to the forest service they said they have to cut down trees and fill all the holes said maybe next year. Good luck with that they have closed almost all the crystals places in the west. Sick of it taking are land away is not managing it. But they can sell the land to mining companies. Cut down and sell the forest .let cattle all over it sell the land to the rich and let them close it they couldn't do worse if they tried.
Don't waste your time it closed.
Can you elaborate? What do you mean closed? This site has been open to RockHounds for decades
@RubbleRockAndGem there Is caution tap all around and says your will be arrested. If you go there . I complained about it to the forest service they said it might be open next year . They said they will cut down the trees and fill in the holes they probably won't let people dig anymore. Talking are land away isn't manging it. You know as well as I do you can't find anything with out digging. Almost all the crystals sites are now closed . But they can sell the land to mining companies sell are forest put cattle all over the forest sell the land to the rich. But we the people can't use it or go to jail. It gets worse every day .
I wouldn’t be surprised. I can’t think of one logging road that was open when I was a kid that hasn’t been gated. Snoqualmie, stevens, granite falls. It’s all locked up.
@d0nn13m0n0 it's stealing the land from the people then they sell it to the rich. And know body will do anything more people and less places to go I have watched it my hole life to. It's like your landscaper selling your front yard and getting away with it.
@@RubbleRockAndGemclosed for a logging operation for the next 2 years
Hahaha you defined the waste pile vs. Tailings definitions... if waste pile is proper description but you called them tailing piles...hahaha hahaha
Ok... Well, whatever gets you off...
Easily amused I see.
I farted😂😂😂😂😂😂
Isn’t that funny?
