Just an FYI in most militaries, taking ANYTHING off the battlefield is considered "conduct unbecoming." Basically, people don't want the military troopers looking or acting like they're taking trophies from people they've killed and sometimes what they take can be dangerous (defective mines, listening equipment, etc). Even taking of something as mundane as droid fingers is considered indirectly encouraging escalating the taking of trophies from more and more combatants, possibly even craving their habit.
The reason they're so upset about the bracelet is because it's trophy taking. Nearly all modern style militaries highly frown on the taking of trophies because they emphasize discipline and that's considered a breakdown of that discipline. Also, imagine that instead of droids, they were fingers from living things, soldiers in real life have actually done things like that, and it's considered both somewhat disturbing and an unnecessarily cruelty to the enemy.
See I guess that's why I was so confused, because yeah if they were men omg can you imagine lmao. But I also didn't know about the trophy taking thing but that makes perfect sense!
@@OveranalyzingStarWars It's also just a habit you don't want soldiers getting into. This particular war might be mostly fighting against droids, but if they're used to taking trophies, and they wind up fighting actual sentients, either later in the war or in a future war, it might be a hard habit to break, and living beings have very few things that you could reasonably take as trophies. It also takes time in battle to do it, and on the battlefield, seconds can count, so taking a couple seconds to crouch down to cut off the fingers could be the difference between you or a comrade getting shot, and shooting the one who might have shot them.
You would make a fine addition to the Grand Army of the Republic, WIlliam my boy! Honestly that's really cool to know, I mean it makes perfect sense, but still always nice to see the attention to details they can throw in this show

4:48 from what I understand, kaminoans gave them set rules against artistic expression, as well as republic laws against owning battledroids or their parts. If the clones start thinking outside of just combat, then we might have to treat them with *gasp* rights??? so yeah its the artistic expression in a medium that they can physically take away (good luck getting rid of a tat) and using the droid parts, which be illegal for most tolks. Trade fed are probably in a weird state of limbo as they got lots of em, so idk about them tho.
This makes me wonder where that droid head in The Bad Batch's barracks came from lol
@@OveranalyzingStarWars I am remembering as well that the clones had specific genetic tampering to quell specific thoughts and intentions that other troops might exhibit. In the Inhibitor Chip ark, we learn that clones have been genetically altered to not succumb to battlefield hysteria or have PTSD in the short term (we see rex getting hints of it in his advanced age), so perhaps the taking of trophies is the issue, meaning only 'difficient', 'degenerate' clones desire to take trophies like some savage. In this light, perhaps the bad batch was permitted to deliberately bring up their reputation as failed monsterous clones. Similar to the Unsullied in GoT, they might have some urges against taking trophies or deliberately hurting civilians outside of direct orders, etc. Kinda neat to think of. kinda wish the level in the Lego star wars 3 the clone wars video game based off this episode included the whole detective aspect, it's a good aspect and I wish it was around more especially having to find out who's the traitor in a room of identical people

This in weird way is Rex first introduced into the show. This episode also sets up clones being more then just soldiers following order. Also sets up Rex character arc for rest of series. A dogmatic soldier following every order to soldier willing question orders his given. By end betrayal his brothers to protect Ashoka. Weird way Rex become slick by end of series. Just framed differently and with context being order 66.

Umbara man such a great arc. I do want point the scene with fives giving his speech soldier are not unthinking droids. I do find it ironic Jessie with fives are about be executed. By Mandlore arc it’s Jessie who the one following orders

@@OveranalyzingStarWars, yeah. It's like he knows what Rex is saying makes sense, but the chip is just like, "NO! It doesn't matter! She stills needs to die. Good soldiers follow orders." Siege of Mandalore was such a tragic arc, and I love it for that.
God. I WISH Someone would give Ventress her dues and Cover her Clone Wars 2D Appearance. When she fought in that Battle Royale and briefly fought Count Dooku for an Episode. THAT was my introduction to the character.

Episodes 21-25 are pretty much a Direct lead in into Revenge of the Sith from its depictions of the events so. That may or may not be covered for a long time.
Not even getting into Contradictions it might have with 3D. But It would be great to see.Yesh.

Asajj went to that squid looking ship as this is the direct prequel episode to the Clone Wars movie, where in the intro Rotta is kidnapped by that ship, it grabs the sail barge he was on.

I agree it was abit campy, and not the best, but like you said about the animation, it gets better and better over the course of the show. The movie was at least fairly fun.

@@OveranalyzingStarWars It was abit of a rocky start, especially as Ahsoka wasn't really liked at first, but it was an important step in the show. This is the Way.
The ship you pointed out, asking why it was there. This happens right before the movie, so that ship is what Ventress uses to kidnap Rotta in the opening.
This was the battle where the CIS realized they need to keep tactical droids from leading the attacks
