From what I remember about the OJ case, a glove worn by the killer was found, and they intended to prove that it was OJ's. However, it was slipped that he would be expected to try on the glove weeks in advance. This gave him time to do hand exercises and build up muscle in his hand to make it bigger so when the time came for him to try on the glove, it didn't fit, which "proved" it wasn't his glove and therefore he wasn't the killer. This is where the saying "If the glove does not fit, you must acquit" came from. I could be off on a few details since it was a long time ago and I haven't looked into it since way back when, so my memory is a little sketchy, but that's the basic premise.
He also had a rubber glove on that he was pulling the leather glove over. One more thing, the glove had been soaked in blood, which I'm sure shrank the leather or at least made it stiff.
A leather glove put in water will shrink.
He stopped taking arthritis medication so his hands swelled up. Pain? Hey, whatever it takes to get away with murdering two white folks.
EXACTLY the glove had shrank from the blood and that long amount of time between the killings and trial. The lady prosecutor did not want the male prosecutor to have OJ try the glove on. He did it anyway and blew all their proof by doing that. She did say tho she felt no matter what they brought forward they would not win.
