    Wore this shoe as a work shoe as well as a daily trainer. Very comfortable, light, helped with backpain when standing for hours. Mileage on my runs range from 3 miles early in the morning to some 8-10 mile runs on weekends. I don't know what people consider mid-range mileage, but to me, 10 miles is mid-range and this model performed well. 6'3", 160lbs, solid running performance from 3-10 miles. Shocked honestly how great these felt. I now do primarily trail runs for longer runs, will be checking out Nike's Pegasus Trail 4 next. For $150, these are a solid buy depending on your body and running style. As far as durability, not great, not terrible. Just where an average shoe would be. I'm also pretty lightweight for my height, so that is factor.

    These shoes are totally fine for cross training. Better than Epic Reacts and Boosts by a long shot. If you need to do crazy lifts then you know this isn’t what you’re looking for. These will get everything you need done at the the gym and on runs. They’re worth their money and you’re not constrained to specific use cases. Some of these channels I tell you smh. Literally 5-10 people at a time rock these at my gym and we chuck weight around and do sprints. Worth it. Period.

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  2 роки тому +1

      Haha, to each their own. Mine broke in two weeks and they’re pretty brutal for lateral training and lack stability for lifts over 315 lb.
      I’d take many other models over these if I’m actually pushing it hard for my cross-training.
      It’s also okay to have different interpretations of models and not have your bias validated, Brody. $150 for a model with sub par performance and durability, eh 🤔 the durability of these needs a buff for serious training.

    I work around 10 - 12 hours been stand. And I suffer a lot in my toes because I put all the weight in them. Which model will be good from the On's?
    I am between Cloudswift 3 Ad or Cloudsurfers.
    I hope you can help me

    I can't get on board with that sole, looks ridiculous. Also, Nano 9 doesn't overlap for everybody, it depends on your foot. Nano 9 is perfect for wide-footed people. When I tried Nano 9 for the first time I felt like the shoe was made just for my feet. They were perfect, they still are. I have 5 pairs. I stocked up for future! Thanks for the great review.

      Yeah, it’s usually a hit or miss for folks - was chatting with the running store folks and they were talking about how it’s about the aesthetic for most which I thought was odd, too!
      Fair point. Was trying to come up with comparable trainers that others may recognize the overlap on. Damn you, narrowish feet!!
      Appreciate the feedback as always 💪💪

    Interesting review given it focuses more on running. I’ve been thinking more about adding running to my training to round myself out more as well. I’d be curious of your thoughts of the On Cloudstratus and the Strike Mvmnt Vimana Carbon runner.

      I can add them to the list for sure - thank you for the recommendations!

      @@thatfitfriend I would say the review is spot-on with the needs of a runner or an athlete incorporating running. It’s smart to use a similar layout that you use for most reviews, and it was also smart to steer away from lifting (given the nature of the shoe itself) and focus more on running and anything that would help with the sport (agility work, speed work, Plyometrics, etc.). Overall, I’d say it’s a damn solid review. 🤙🏾

    Hi! This is my first time watching your videos :) Really enjoyed it! A quick question about the durability of this model. I recently purchased the cloudswift for longer walks and day to day life on campus... maybe throwing in some indoor training as well. Compared to the cloudflyer, these don't have an extra layer of rubber at the front of the shoe where the fabric could wear down more because of my big toe pushing against the fabric. Just worried about making a hole in the front of my shoe from prolonged use. I've never had an issue with this in the past and don't think I have a hammertoe, just wondering if you think this could be a long term issue? Thank you!

      IMO, you’ll prob be fine with them and it may be one of those cases where you’ll have to test and see. Idt you’ll run into durability issues too quickly for those contexts, but def keep me posted if you do!

    hello thank you so much for this review, when it comes to length the perfect size for me is 8.5US in most brands but i go 9US to have more room in the toebox, my feet are only wide in the toe area, will this model be good for me since i only found it in Size 8.5US so i can't go half size up and the website doesn't offer a return ( i will be ordering these for work/walking only)
    thank you again

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  Рік тому +1

      Ehhh. I'd pass on them if you have to go TTS because On shoes typically run a little more narrow through the toe box!
      The On Cloud X could be a good option to explore if they have them in your size!

    For a wide footer, no need to go half-size up?

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  2 роки тому

      You would prob be safe doing so, but I’m not sure this model will feel comfortable for your foot even if you size up. What do currently wear?

    • @paullooper1090
      @paullooper1090 2 роки тому

      @@thatfitfriend the shoe I wear depends on the upper, some are loose and some are narrow
      For Ultraboost 22 I go 10.5, for Nike Invincible US10 is ok for me

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  2 роки тому

      @@paullooper1090 Gotcha - In that case, then I think you'll be safe opting for TTS in the CloudSwift.
      I wish you could try them on beforehand because I'm curious now, too, how you'll like the upper in this model.

    How is this shoe for Achilles pain.

    • @thatfitfriend
      @thatfitfriend  2 роки тому

      Tough to answer on that specifically since that's a multi-factoral concern/question. Honestly, I don't feel comfortable saying anything definitive due to the lack of context/knowledge for your specific Achilles discomfort.

    To the question "Is it worth it"?, you might take into account the environmental cost. Not that I'm eco-terrorist, but producing short-lasting crap should be discouraged

    • @thatfitfriend

      Agreed fully!
      Actually have a TF2 initiative in 2022 I want to start where folks can donate used gear/apparel and I’ll hopefully work with companies to salvage it/donate it so it can reused. I was thinking the other day how to limit waste because with reviews I don’t want to add to the problem. Still figuring out what that looks like in practice and logistics though!
