Kind of funny that Bailey was struggling on Padres-Ranges when a lot of Padres fans joke about how often AJ Preller recruits a bunch of former Rangers to join the team
A good modern sicko one for the July 10th Cleveland/Twins one and the one that came to my mind first as a Twins fan was Eddie Rosario, since he played like half a year in Cleveland before he joined the Braves
Whenever the Braves are here (I'm a Braves fan,) I have a self imposed policy of going sicko. For the 14th grid I did Chase d'Arnaud (ATL-PIT), Henry Blanco (TOR-ATL), and Chris Johnson (.300 BA)
good content. if you are gonna keep doing these videos i would appreciate it if you showed the most popular guys and percentages after each round as I don't play the game myself (not knowledgeable enough) but still find it very interesting
great vid as always tristan a few memory tricks I've put together to help when I'm stuck on a "played for teams x and y": a) both team nicknames are animals: Edwin Jackson b) both team nicknames start with A or G: Scott Kazmir c) both team nicknames include a color: David Wells d) both teams are currently AL East teams: Steve Pearce e) both teams are currently AL West teams: Mark McLemore f) both teams are currently NL Central teams: Cesar Izturis g) both teams are currently NL West teams: Steve Finley That will only get you ~75 of the ~400 possible team combos, but they've been good for me to fall back on if i get stuck :)
Dodgers 200 hits is a great trap as Freddie led the league last year with 199 also 18:29 the easy contemporary answer for Jays/Reds could be Kevin Gausmann
That one was sneaky hard. I picked Beltre thinking his 04 season was a slam dunk, turns out it was right but he had EXACTLY 200 and it was the only Dodger season like that this century. Kinda crazy
Yo that 300 game winners from today fucked me up. Bref needs to chill 300 winners is tricky but mixing in Royals and Cleveland on the same grid is sicko shit
I like to think of myself as a guy who knows about BASEBALL. But, for pete's sake do I freeze up as soon as I'm lookin' at a grid! Good job, Foolish Bailey. It takes a real man to put this video out.
The first baseball game I ever watched was game 7 of the 1986 Series with my uncle. I was a Mets fan basically until Strawberry left, though I still watched the Cubs on WGN, Braves on TBS, and my native Tigers on our local Pass Network. So when I see Mets-Dodgers, Mets-Yankees, Mets-Phillies, it's an automatic Straw, Gooden, Dykstra for me. I have a much harder time coming up with more recent connections like Bailey does quickly.
I showed this game to my dad and now he fills out 3 boards a day with all diffrent players, and almost never gets a score over 50. The first time he played he guessed Claudell Washington and he was a 0.2 percent. Old people are great at this game.
That Reds-Bluejays one was tough, because both of those teams were pretty bad when we were growing up. (For context, i’m about 3 years older than you). I biffed that one as well.
If you thought you heard someone start yelling in a mildly offensive Italian accent around the 7:00 mark it was just me screaming “PIIIAZZZZAAA!!!” over and over again at the top of my lungs
The biggest failure I had was A-Rod not winning ROTY. Some weird service time shenanigans with him because he reached rookie status after just 65 games and 200 PAs.
Every time Bailey stays quiet with his eyes closed I remember the "Donald Trump if you can hear us, please save me Donald Trump" video
What?
@@Thomaas551its this dude who got pulled over by a cop and he starts like praying to donald trump
@@jonahsunshine9273love that video
Winston Cave, one of the most amazing Instagram accounts to bless this planet.
Lmao 💀💀
Pulling Mitch Moreland when Yu Darvish was right there is incredible
Profar too
the other day I said moreland for Padres and As and it was only .5% of responses
@@mishajuniorodd because I also answered that one with Mitch Moreland lol
Nelson Cruz as well
Ian Kinsler as well I believe?
bailey frantically running through his mind palace
Watching Bailey close his eyes and summon all his baseball knowledge like a zen master is incredible content
I like the part where he went ''Speedgrid'' and speedgridded all over everyone
he hit the speed griddy
On the speed griddle
I need a third channel of just bailey playing immaculate grid
And MLB pickle.
@@charliep123 oh he would embarrass me in Pickle, we are on an even playing field at IG lol
Taking quizzes on camera is so much harder so kudos to you sir
Kind of funny that Bailey was struggling on Padres-Ranges when a lot of Padres fans joke about how often AJ Preller recruits a bunch of former Rangers to join the team
I was yelling Cruz
Nelly. Adrian Gonzalez.
Yu Darvish
Profar
Odor, Darvish, Profar and Mazara!
Lost it at "I can't name a single player in Toronto Blue Jays history right now"
Literally screaming at my screen "Scott Rolen!" on the Reds/Jays brain freeze but then I take like 30 minutes doing the grid every night.
Same, only except for screaming it I whispered it repeatedly for almost 2 minutes literally nonstop expecting him to get it! 😂
A good modern sicko one for the July 10th Cleveland/Twins one and the one that came to my mind first as a Twins fan was Eddie Rosario, since he played like half a year in Cleveland before he joined the Braves
I was saying Josh Donaldson for that one
Oh lol so did Bailey
Jim Thome is the easiest pick for cleavland/twins
We now need a week of SICKOGRID
I can’t believe Bailey hits us with the speedGRIDDY
When in doubt, Nelson Cruz
Whenever the Braves are here (I'm a Braves fan,) I have a self imposed policy of going sicko. For the 14th grid I did Chase d'Arnaud (ATL-PIT), Henry Blanco (TOR-ATL), and Chris Johnson (.300 BA)
chris johnson is one of the funniest random braves stories of all time
This was a fun watch these grids are tough
For the Reds-Jays I also thought of Edwin, but by the time Bailey got him I also got Scott Rolen, who might also be a pretty sicko pull for Jays-HOF
I was practically screaming Kevin Gausman!! lol
I went Rolen immediately, but that might be because I mix up the Cards and Reds up all the time, and he played for both. lol
good content. if you are gonna keep doing these videos i would appreciate it if you showed the most popular guys and percentages after each round as I don't play the game myself (not knowledgeable enough) but still find it very interesting
Thank you for the frame counter on the timer. I appreciate the extra precision.
i was screaming Edwin at the end!!
great vid as always tristan
a few memory tricks I've put together to help when I'm stuck on a "played for teams x and y":
a) both team nicknames are animals: Edwin Jackson
b) both team nicknames start with A or G: Scott Kazmir
c) both team nicknames include a color: David Wells
d) both teams are currently AL East teams: Steve Pearce
e) both teams are currently AL West teams: Mark McLemore
f) both teams are currently NL Central teams: Cesar Izturis
g) both teams are currently NL West teams: Steve Finley
That will only get you ~75 of the ~400 possible team combos, but they've been good for me to fall back on if i get stuck :)

Why does my brain immediately spit out Walt Weiss for Rockies/Athletics but seize up for things like 300 game winners?
And there seems to be so many pitchers you'd think have 300 wins that didn't quite get there.
I'd love to watch more of these! It would also be cool to see you go for the lowest possible rarity score.
I was screaming Darryl Strawberry to myself for the july 11th one for both the Mets/Dodgers and Mets/Yankees lol
I think once he learns you don’t have to type out the entire name to select them speedgrid times will greatly decrease
at the cleveland and twins part i was SCREAMING Jim Thome
The first baseball game I ever watched was game 7 of the 1986 Series with my uncle.
I was a Mets fan basically until Strawberry left, though I still watched the Cubs on WGN, Braves on TBS, and my native Tigers on our local Pass Network.
So when I see Mets-Dodgers, Mets-Yankees, Mets-Phillies, it's an automatic Straw, Gooden, Dykstra for me. I have a much harder time coming up with more recent connections like Bailey does quickly.
1:13 Alfonso Soriano
7:35 Mike Piazza
10:52 Jose Abreu
15:42 Edwin Encarnacion
Please do more of these
I toss up a hail mary with edwin jackson almost every other day.
I showed this game to my dad and now he fills out 3 boards a day with all diffrent players, and almost never gets a score over 50. The first time he played he guessed Claudell Washington and he was a 0.2 percent. Old people are great at this game.
Cooper hummel was down right disrespectful when randy Johnson was available
second grid, I'm screaming "Jim Thome" at my phone, Bailey.
I want to believe there is no music involved in the game but, rather, we are hearing Bailey's stress manifest through the mic.
I was screaming roughned odor
That’s something i never thought i would say
I was sitting watching the blue jays/reds guess and was like “Their ace played for the reds too!” Cuz Kevin gausman played for the reds
I was aghast when Freddie didn't work for LAD 200 hits. Turns out he had 199
Nelson cruz was so applicable on the first with nats/rangers, nats/brewers , rangers/pads
You gotta go for the sub 1:30, got so close already
I’ve been speedgridding too, it’s definitely as fun as sickogridding
my COL/OAK pull is always Lucroy. Great catcher for the As but came to the rockies and caught like pitchers pitch for COL.
Matt Herges and Steve Finley are NL West wildcards. Feel free to use that for all your speed needs.
The Friday edition had the 2023 HOF class staring you right in the face lol
Bailey Freeman was Baseball's Speedgridder | Baseball Bits
I’m surprised more people put Scherzer for Dodgers-Mets than Piazza. Immediately my thought went to Mike Piazza
Yup me too. Wanted to scream Piazza at the screen lol
Gene Tenace and Denny McClain are grid all-stars for me. My favorite deep cuts.
yelling eddie rosario at my fellow braves fan through my screen hahahah
As you paused for Cle - Minn player all I could do was repeat "Thome... Thome... Thome..." In my head 😂
I was screaming Mike piazza
Keep doing these!
I’m shocked at no tim locastro on the third grid
That Reds-Bluejays one was tough, because both of those teams were pretty bad when we were growing up. (For context, i’m about 3 years older than you). I biffed that one as well.
Hey foolish, awesome grid. You should a video about the greatest pitcher of all time, Walter Johnson. He’s really good!
Mookie Betts for Dodgers 200 hits was my first though. He did it with the Red Sox but should’ve still counted
You closed your eyes and I was waiting for a "talk to me goose"
I didn’t know Mark Buehrle took over the channel
If you thought you heard someone start yelling in a mildly offensive Italian accent around the 7:00 mark it was just me screaming “PIIIAZZZZAAA!!!” over and over again at the top of my lungs
It was also me at 12:25pm central time today
need another one of these videos bailey
Alfonso Soriano!!!
For some perspective, my high score on these is 5 and I struggle to consistently get more than 3. You are a god of baseball knowledge.
13:34 I was literally screaming to put Manaea in lmao
For the 3rd Grid, my Dodgers picks were José Cruz jr, Marlon Anderson and Jackie Robinson
i’m curious if screaming nelson cruz at the first grid was a universal experience
Alfonso Soriano over here
The way I was screaming Edwin at my screen for several minutes
In a perfect world Tim Lincecum would be an answer to 3000 strikeouts as he continued his 4 year prime for 8 more years
JIM THOME!!!!!
For Minnesota and Cleveland you could have put Eddie Rosario
Dawg the first quiz got me yelling "YU DARVISH" at you lol that was like the only one I got quicker than you
Screaming at the phone for Bailey to put Jim Thome
Screaming Eddie Rosario for that last pick haha
That Rangers/Padres one had me stumped forever, luckily I remembered Jerry Hairston Jr. Felt stupid when I saw Yu as the top answer
Adrian Beltre, Max Scherzer, Carlos Beltran
speed grid
nuh uh
Nelson cruz fits in 4 spots here
ALFONSO SORIANO
Not me screaming "Scott Rolen" at the screen for Reds/Jays even though you recorded this in the past and also you can't hear me
The biggest failure I had was A-Rod not winning ROTY. Some weird service time shenanigans with him because he reached rookie status after just 65 games and 200 PAs.
I (Noted Brock Holt Fan) was dying when you couldn't figure out a player for WSH/MIL and WSH/TEX (He did both, WSH/MIL in the same season)
I think I just found my new favorite game!
I thought I was so smart yelling Freddie Freeman at my computer screen for dodgers 200 hits. He had 199 last year...
That last one I was screaming Freddy Galvis lol
I was screaming Eddie Rosario on Cleveland and Minnesota
Screaming Nelson Cruz for all the rangers ones on July 9
Cant believe for Dbacks Mariners you didnt immediately think of the Big Unit
Not me screaming Scott Rolen at the end
wild he didn’t get nelson cruz lmao
Trevor Cahill always finds a way on my grids 😂
Edwin Jackson is my cheat lol
Billy Hamilton is mine
The way I yelled nyjer morgan for the July 9th nat and brewer
my soul left my body when i guessed matt kemp only to find out he had 195 in that 2011 year
Mets/Dodgers Thor was an immediate for me.
Nelson Cruz was an answer for half the grid on the 9th 🥲
Dodgers - Mets: Piazza. Cmon man
during the yankees mets section i was screaming curtis granderson at the top of my lungs
DO MORE SPEEDGRID!!!
I screamed Kevin Gausman for the Reds/Blue Jays for at least 2 minutes.
Real ones got Ross Ohlendorf for the Reds-Pirates one
I wonder what percentage got Randy Johnson for mariners dbacks
Not being able to guess the Cleveland Twins guy who is actively starting for the Braves was kind of funny
