- 1. Listen to the machine
Make careful observations to how the wheel reacts when riding. This will help you understand what the wheel wants you to do for faster growth and better riding experience.
2. Practice the stops
As seen in the video, the death wobbles can occur exactly at the time you want to slow down or stop. Stopping safely is part of the riding and is absolutely essential.
3. Have a little fun
These things are usually pretty robust and can take some hits - it should also protect you to an extent and allow you to be more adventurous. So go on and put those hours on you and miles on the machine!
As the saying goes, If you feel scared, that's exactly when you jump -
On the day I purchased my Sherman Max I got home and charged it up to 90% and headed out to Vancouver's famous Seawall Bike path.
You got this brother im also learning on my sherman max dont give up
I will never give up on this wheel.. Still to this date.. the adventure keeps getting better and better
That will get the adrenaline going 2:18 I agree bike paths are great way to build confidence before being on the road. Fortunately, gear can protect from the broken bones and teeth in many cases.
Glad to have shared my adrenaline rush with you..even with better riding skills today I feel naked without gear. Thinking back this being almost a year ago, what a way to practice and build confidence 😂
Heard from a common friend that you are in Thailand. If you reach the north (Chiang Mai) give a sign, there may be some beer and some wheel waiting for a trip around.
When braking don’t brake even with both feet but brake with preference to one side (kinda like carving). The wobbles occur from the instability caused by trying to apply equal pressure and direction thru both legs/feet so it’s easier to choose a side (I prefer back right) and brake like that. If any wobbles occur, simply accelerate out of them and restart the brake again. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the tip ✊ helps others, too!
I’m learning on a begode master😭3days in and I’m doing well 😂,good luck on your journey
