    I just put mine on and what a great simple mod. Is this the Owl Van kit? Everyone should have this kit on their van. Big Bear is a great spot, I lived there for about 15 years.

    Yup, that simple. Not sure about the hardware but the struts in my CATuned kit say made in the USA. Everything is excellent quality. Cheap and easy little mod and very useful

    Either I’m really weak or these struts are super hard to compress 😩 Is there a trick to collapsing them so I can attach them on both ends? 😕

      Yes, impossible to compress by hand. Just install them fully extended. Have a buddy hold up the hood or use a broom handle or something similar.
