Totally! I think slow reps are underrated, for sure. Nothing exposes weaknesses like slow reps, and exposing your weakness is exactly what you need to strengthen it.
I started doing the rings, it’s a difficult journey to get back into shape. I haven’t given up. You are definitely inspiration and the advice is solid. 💪
Hey kyle any tips to set ring evenly my ring dont have marks Great video Today i do slow and control pull ups My rep from 8 down to 4 but i keep my technique good no kipping and cheating by lockout bicep without contracting muscles of the scapula
Get solid parallel bar dips, practice support hold on rings, hands turned out, progress to ring dip negatives with control and in the end you will get your first ring dip. An amazing movement. Do a support hold or ring dip in front of a mirror with no shirt on and you will see how much your entire upper body is tensing to stabilise yourself on the rings. Definitely needs lots of practice. Keep away from muscular failure so that you can practice a few times per week.
Young people, appreciate this channel, when I was 20 years old there was not this valuable information and much less free.
I appreciate that message, Benny. Thank you.
Best fitness content on UA-cam 🙂
Couldn't agree more! This channel is a real gem!
I appreciate that very much, Amy. Thank you!
Fast on the way and slow on the way down is a good practice as well.
100% Combining tempos is fantastic.
Great content, thank you!
You said it -(speed reps) they are easy. Since I discovered the power of slowing down I d rather get the MAXIMUM bang for my buck💪

What would be your suggested rep range targets for someone preferring the slower tempos?
Probably just stick to a few reps shy of failure.
Slow reps, correct posture & form.. reduce reps by like 40%..😱😩
Yeah totally. Makes them pretty tough!
What’s the ideal rep:set ranges for the slow controlled pulls?
For hypertrophy, maybe a few reps shy of failure will do the trick.

SLOW FORM SO FLAWLESS: ME DOUBLE CHECKING I DIDN'T HIT SLO- MO BY ACCIDENT....💜
Hahaha thank you! That's one reason why I love slow reps; they really allow you to dial in your technique.
How much do you weigh and how tall are you
Lately fluctuate between like 175 and 185 and a bit over 6'1"
Your back arches too far back or not?
Great question. I'll make more content on this but this is an arched back pull up, so the back is going to arch pretty significantly.
yo im first
Thank you, brother!
Unfortunately when I do it slowly I can't do more than 2. Any advice on building up strength to get to more pull-ups ?
