I first heard this today on the way home in my car, what a treat to get to see it performed.
Perhaps my favorite of Mozart's string quartets dedicated to Haydn.
My god is that first tune so jolly
When a quartet of crew members "played" this on "Star Trek: The Next Generation," they skipped the slow introduction. (They also managed to play a Brahms sextet, a feat for four.)
Love the first violinst man
the good part:

Dissonance ? Yeah they got it right.
The beginning is exquisitely disturbing. Is Mozart channeling Scriabin-from-the-future?
Edit: lol I just noticed this piece is nick-named "Dissonance." Very appropriate.
"Adagio for strings" by Samuel Barber is also a fabulous composition. ua-cam.com/video/lKrxPTePXEQ/v-deo.html
