I am just rediscovering Nik Kershaw. I saw him at Live Aid in 1985 and thought he was so cute!!! and very talented!! Now living in the USA I loved all the Live Aid videos shown on You Tube. Brings back so many memories.
And only a couple of years later: the Berlin Wall came down! Funny how Frank was a name featured in Nik's 6th studio album 'To Be Frank' - almost eerie coincidence. 'Elizabeth's Eyes' is a great song. Sadly, getting a hold of The Works album on CD is very difficult, but in this world of streaming and digital media purchases makes it more accessible. Hard copies are becoming a thing of the past. Elton John was right in how Nik was such an underrated artist - and it's a huge complement being held in high regard by one of the most successful pop stars of the time! Nice clip of bygone times. Going Live was a good Saturday morning show for youngsters, but I remember being more fond the madness fun of Tiswas. Saturday Superstore was okay, it still had that Saturday feel, and had some good features - including pop star interviews! Nik made guest appearances on a couple of Superstore episodes, which you can also find on UA-cam.
Really funny to see him strolling through West-Berlin in 1989, where my 9-year old self was growing up and already aware of and loving his music. Theoretically, I could have met/seen him being interviewed in the city, though I wouldn´t have recognized him with this hairdo :D
Brilliant film of early Nik. Great hair back then too..

Wow great to see more footage from this era of Nik’s career
Aka the "hasn't had a hit for years" era.
Calling your channel half pint hog is such a clever, deep cut Nik Kershaw reference. Well played.
