think you really missed an opportunity to get a session in with ben the thrustmaster when you were in AZ
Good video Joe! taking on board!! :)
Great insight again mate
@Joe Skipper did you put this on strave ?
Asking the real questions
The dude in the background doing 120kg deadlift for 10 reps with FANTASTIC form. Well done, background guy.
Thanks Joe. When do you schedule your strength training during the day/week in relation to other quality sessions? Strength train on an 'easy endurance' day or do you do quality run/bike the same day as your lifting? Always a challenge with tri training to optimize workout timing without sacrificing recovery!
I used to slot them in on my easier days since I hate strength training & could always find an excuse to skip them on a harder day. I read the report about the Norwegian approach to training & started making my harder days really hard. I stack my strength training with my harder sessions so my easier days can focus on recovery.
I’ve seen a lot of success with athletes doubling up their quality + strength sessions and then following with an easy/recovery day, rather than doing strength work on that easy day. You may find this vid helpful, I dive into it a little more! 😊 ua-cam.com/video/VYeyTkcDT3w/v-deo.html
@@evolvehumanperformance2081 truth has been spoken...seemed counterintuitive to me when it was suggested and a little adjustment to get used to it...but finally see strength gains from my strength training.
Context context context. Different for everyone hence why see a coach like Joe
This ad would be a Bullshit Buster in the next podcast if anyone else uploaded it. But we understand, cash those checks Joe!
Just in time. I just got unemployed so I'll have plenty of time to add some strength training. I've not touched a dumbbell since 2020 lockdown 😅
great video!!!
glad to see Techno still crushing it as well!!

Great video Joe, thanks!👍
Conditioning is so great, what exercises, how many, how often, how much always perplexing. I'm currently thinking of lightening load and upping volume. I puzzle over swim conditioning. Maybe EM can help :)
Thought I recognised the logo in the intro, had my bikefit done at Endurance Movement and have seen them several times for strength work. Didn't know I was in such good company :)
Thank you for sharing. I also have hip issue, I'll try the side leg exercise base on the video. thank you
Really helpful this Joe thank you!
this is awesome thankyou
so did you follow only these exercises for 6 months? did you add yoga or mobility sessions? how many times a week do you do this session? thanks jo
Very interesting, thanks for sharing 👍
Yeah. Endurance movement Kate!!!
good to see Phil!
👍
Lot of misinformation from trainer
No exercise prevents injury and these exercise have no evidence that they transfer to sport.
What they do do is provide a different stimulus allow the muscles to operate in a different contracting sequence which then can build some resilience in muscle, ligament and tendon capacity
Kate has done a phd on strength training for triathletes where she looked at oxygen uptake at different speeds and intensities before and after a strength training plan. If you contact her I’m sure she can show you the study. As far as I’m aware shes the only person that’s done a phd in this area.
Have you picked a date for the Joe vs Techno epic Atlas stone shootout competition?
