Kamala was so hated by the Democrats in 2020 that I heard lots of grief from them when she was selected as sleepy Joe's running mate. If there was any candidate more disliked than the latter, it was she, and it seemed like the whole reason she was selected was to make sure any attempt to remove Biden would backfire by making the replacement so much worse. But they seem to have painted themselves into a corner. It will be fun, in a grim sense, to see if they can actually pull this off, and I wouldn't put it past their abilities to spin this cackling bubblehead into a formidable commander in chief. (Even watching the Japanese TV today, they were clearly trying to burnish her image as someone the whole world could look up to.) Heavens, even the teamsters are going over to Trump, but of course, why didn't they wake up like 8 years ago? I was trying on conservative shoes at that time. Twelve years ago I would not have believed it if you'd told me I was going to be a big fan of a guy in a trailer in Alabama. Now we've got the blacks coming over and I think you are going to have a lot more company along the way.

The prospect of widespread fraud aside, if RFK & the DNC kissed & made up, we might have an interesting November. Oh well.

Excellent question. With Senator Menendez resigning and Harris becoming president, this shifts the balance in the Senate, which must approve anyone she selects to be her VP. Should the post remain vacant, the Speaker of the House (Johnson) becomes next in line of succession.
I do not expect this to happen.
@@trailertrashtim1 The President nominates someone for VP. There is a majority vote in both chambers to approve that nomination. There is no way that Harris, if she becomes President, would ever nominate a Republican and the Speaker has no right to that position.
