They spend most of their time in international waters and most are registered outside of the usa. I don't think we could legally impose our regulations on them.

thanks for the vid, I have a question, can this tool/software disable catalytic function and disable the dtc. In my country we dont have emission laws. So if you want to remove your catalytic converter or DPF you can. Thanks again

So - I noticed today while looking at the DTC list on a 2016 F-350 6.7 that all of the emissions tables were locked. By doing what you said here in this video, allow people to "delete" their diesel trucks?
I was so confused why I couldnt shut off the DTCs for my downstream O2 sensors.
For some reason it wasnt throwing any codes so I wasnt too worried though

Your device will take a firmware update at some point and it will stop working on anything older than the 5.xx versions. Then you’re forced to do this.

Was hoping you could help me out. I did what you said to help pass my readiness monitors and for the life of me cant get them to pass. 09 acadia, gutted cats and deleted rear o2s. Cat, evap, amnd o2s readiness monitors not complete.
My menu bar won't show on the editor in color as to where I can use it for the purpose at the end of this video to keep the o2 sensor/check engine light off.
Do you have any idea as to why the menu bar would be grey ans not in color/ accessible?
Enable/disable EGR is missing? I have done everything in the video and I still cannot find how to enable/disable EGR. Only the diag disable/enable speed is showing and that is not working. The tune already had EGR disabled but I am trying to enable it to see the wideband through the scanner so I have to re-enable it.
So can you do this so you can uncheck the emissions dtcs

I have only when I flash a tune in description it says gen 3 V8 v-6 4.3;l p59 parameters access id are different can't write a tune . So how do I get rid of this
How do you log the pressure of a 0.5 - 4.5 transducer that is 0-300PSI? Transducer in in the transmission pressure port and I want to log trans pressure. When you use the user defined maths and transfer function using ([30002.10]/0.1333)-37.5 to convert volts to PSI and log it in the chart, it doesn't show the correct PSI valve. Volts are 3.4 as verified in HP tuners and a multimeter in MPVI A/D input 2 (green 8 pin that plugs in the side of an MPVI1) where the sending unit yellow wire is plugged in, but the chart shows -34 PSI when it should show 218 PSI. The formula is correct, hp tuners is seeing the correct voltage, yet it can't do the math and show the correct PSI value? What did I overlook? Grounded to pin 6, and a constant 5v source is hooked to the transducer.
I need to know how to do this bc I have done this and it’s still not letting me do any for the tuning that I need

Still can't disable DTC's on my tundra
Went and did the training course the other week and it didn't give me any options to link a device and generate a code. All it shows is the 3 other tools. There isn't even a training tab, only way to get to it is by clicking the link on the software. Any clue what may be going on? This happening for anyone else? In Toronto canada
But under diagnostics, exhaust, did they add back the choice for Catalyst test disabling? They removed that ability about a year and a half ago.
You don’t need that option, the other options can achieve the same thing.
That is the reason not to upgrade from an earlier version that has those options. If cat test runs and isn’t satisfied for many platforms the least that will happen is that PE will not engage. Sad.
This absolves HPTuners of liability and passes it to you. This is a registration of EPA violators (anyone that tunes their vehicle). You don't think HPTuners won't turn over our records if compelled by the EPA?

Yup. Don’t be surprised when you try to renew the state registration on a vehicle you tuned after putting yourself on “the list” gets denied because emisions tampering.
Sadly here is were we are at, and things are not going to get better.
Im about to add long tube headers to my 2017 silverado, but confused as heck on which tuning software/device to go with. I need any adjustments made which might be needed for the long tubes and exhaust and to get rid of any CEL. Theres unlimited tuners on the market, i just need the simplest and cost effective choice.
HPTuners, easy for what you want to do and will support anything else you might change down the road

@Goat Rope Garagr @3:58 on the top under parameters where do you get those or find them . There's some things for my 08 cummins I would like to ... tune ... that hptuners stopped letting you .
They are gone. You can use user defined parameters but you would have to know the memory address and the table layouts and the people who do know aren't going to tell anyone because no one wants the EPA knocking at their door. Any professional tuner out there isn't going to do deletes anymore, the risk is not worth the reward.
@GoatRopeGarage I understand. I've seen the huge fines epa is handing out. I wouldnt expect the average shop to put the ass on the line for a few hundred dollar's.i have an orginal mpvi1 , I can't even use earlier versions of vcm suite it locks your dongle and makes you resync with the newest version. I'll find a xdf.

No shops will do any deletes but places still sell headers with no EGR ports?Guessing they are selling them just for us little guys?

Virtual torque isn’t locked out by this. What platform are you tuning?
i only could complete the first one all others are locked out .
For some reason when I try to open controls and special functions is blank. I checked for latest updates and I am up to date. I tried 3 different vehicles and still black any idea why?
I would uninstall and reinstall, configs can get messed up sometimes and cause issues like that.

Here is what i have found with L5P, after i unlock the ecm i still cannot change the emissions settings:( i have passed the emissions course, gas stuff changes no problem L5P having a issue:(
They aren't going to let you do it. You could probably do custom user parameters but you would have to know how to map tables based on memory locations and such. The EPA crack down is no joke.
I just buy mvi3 and do the little test and at the end of your video you show engine tab and mine dont have all your setting what going on
You are in basic mode, go to view and switch it to advanced.

This is totally off subject. I'm new as F@#$ I'm running flex fuel injectors from a 2011 escalade in a 06 Envoy. My Envoy tune shows flow rates in Manifold pressure but the escalade injector tune is in pressure delta. I have no clue how to convert or translate the different measurements

Congress is going to do much more. EPA will not be checking but 80,000 new IRS agents will. After all, each are issue plug-in OBD-II Go/No Go devices, 1 of 195,000 firearms stacked next to 4.5 million rounds of ammunition. They ad for recruitment contains several phrases as "Knowledge of firearms and their use a plus and non-technical automotive systems for emissions a benefit."

First, it is a (.gov) address for the job. Second, it goes to qualified applicant like police first, military and other federal employees.
They are trying to weed out Bubba's first that don't have a college degree, firearm backgrounds and those employed within the government already. My high school buddy had a birthday and I called him. His brother has a son in the Oklahoma police department, as this is were he got this info and read it to me over the phone.

Comp Cams is asking people to call their congressman to kill a bill that keeps folks from modifying cars with catalytic converters and post O2 sensor that monitors the cat's health. Is that serious enough for you to do your homework?
