Yeah the choreo is insane!!! Actually according to the choreographer Taeyong gave so much ideas, for example he is the one who came up with the finger movements during the chorus, during Mark dance break towards the end, he suggested Mark to jumped using his knees. The choreographer called Taeyong "bank idea" and even said "I started doubting of himself" because he gave so many good ideas 😅

@@sabrysazai Basically it is because of a post from an ex trainee, and in a few words he said that things were really hard for Taeyong, they put a lot of pressure on him, if others could make mistakes he could not, he had to achieve a score of 101, even when scolding him it was not like for the others because they got to do it in front of everyone in the corridor, it is a heartbreaking story and basically it is supposed to be because he (taeyong) could exceed expectations, but even so.. (just imagine how tough it is for a person who completely knew nothing about the industry). As for the story of his harsh training as a rookie, high expectations are not uncommon in training for idols headed for leadership roles. Far more was expected from Lee Taeyong because he was not like the other trainees. I suspect from the moment he walked off the street through the SM doors Lee Sooman KNEW Lee Taeyong was The One. I'm a playwright who has sat through days of auditions so I know casting can be that clear cut. And taeyong may have been aware of his status from early on. The hard to the brink of brutal training he received may seem unfair to us but all of the exceptional.rookies probably realized stakes were SO high for their new franchise. And for their leader SM had to make SURE that young man was truly up to the task before him...to Lead 23 members (and growing) of the biggest kpop experiment SM had ever attempted. Neo Culture Technology. So much was riding on Taeyong to help pull.it off. He rose to the demands on him because he had been fully prepared for & he UNDeR STOOD the mission as well as the honor to be chosen to lead it No one could have blamed taeyong if during that trying time he broke down or gave up. But he didn't because it appears quitting is not in him. Also the FACT that he had NO prior training was part of his value. He was the ultimate test of the SM Idol training program. The level of brilliance he was able to achieve SO quickly (as did many other gifted rookies) proves just how well the SM training program works. i do believe Taryong has been and will continue to be rewarded for his outstanding effort and excellence in ways that almost no idols in kpop will ever know.
The choreographer, Koosung Jung was actually impressed by Taeyong coz he has so many ideas. Taeyong suggested for Mark to step on his knee during the fight scene. It wasn't part of Koosung's original choreography. He agreed to it but still ask the group to discuss it amongst themselves. Koosung trusted NCT 127 to also throw in ideas. Koosung Jung was interviewed by Mina i UA-cam. He's good. Oh, and dont forget to watch the director's cut of Kick it. :D

I love the black and yellow visual combo, and the outfits were top-notch! The dance opens up super hard and it hypes you up so well. And the "puku puku pow pow" is stuck in your head forever after hearing it once 😂 Kick It is huge for both the fans and the neos. Just like Cherry Bomb before. It's the most iconic song they have and it shot NCT's popularity so high. It was truly a legendary moment seeing them promote with Kick It and getting their wins and awards left and right. Everyone was so emotional and it was so beautiful. The fandom grew the most during this era and it's just insane how much impact on the industry it left. It's been a year since Kick It released and you still have everyone dancing Taeyong's opening part. No matter how much I love Ten, Taemin and other great SM dancers I always will put Taeyong as the number one. He just brings so much to the group and performances. He added his own finger part and he also added the part where he lets Mark jump off his knee during the fight scene towards the end for more impact, because it "looked boring". Choreographers always praise him for his creativity and he always adds so many ideas to the dances and MV's, like Kick It, Make A Wish, Mad Dog, gimme gimme etc. Taeyong's attention to detail and acting is just out of this world, makes every performance his personal stage and never fails to deliver something new and fresh. I could go on for hours praising this boy who started off from absolutely nothing. He really is THE ICON of K-pop. And Kick It will be forever iconic in K-pop.

This song for me has the swaggiest choreo and the most anthemic chorus to date. In my opinion this song seals them as the ‘it’ group. The choreography is not as hard as their other songs like Superhuman or Regular, so it’s easy for people to dance to it. the choreo trended for a long time and probably the biggest shock in 2020. The gwara gwara was also replicated in ‘Punch’ in double time. Taeyong and his fingers? I told you even his extremities are compelled to dance. 😆

Not dance related too: whenever they are recording, Taeil gets praised everytime by producers and other staff. Doyoung also mentioned in their recent song that Taeil's high note was scary. Lol. The one i love the most was not a high note but when Taeil did a "sigh" on one of their songs with a nice tone. A producer even said "idol" to him. Doyoung on the other hand, is the cover king. Made a different version of Breathin by Ariana. And recently, Falling by Harry Styles. And both in my opinion, are better than the original
I agree on so many points - the rest of the boys are creepin up my bias list that i think everyone are closely rank - nct singer are singers (amazing vocals) - one of the best bridges - 127 individuality is strong and that makes the group stand out - this is YUTA's era, he best looks the part of kick it btw, TAEIL's high not is so awesome, 127 can dance break to it! ♡

Yay, I really really love your reaction videos. Whenever I see a bit of choreo, I look forward to hearing what you think of it. Kick It was definitely a moment for 127. Everybody and their mum was doing the dance challenge and knew the key moves. It really was a move up to the next level of recognition for them. I do love the raw, kinda cocky or smirking attitude to this choreo. Felt like a perfect nod to Bruce Lee and also with the style of the song. (The whole album is honestly amazing too) I know what you mean about Taeyong being a show-off (I don't think that has to have a negative connotation, maybe a natural "showman" ?). He has a bit of freedom to play with choreo when he's in the centre position so he always comes up with the characters and variations to really communicate an attitude. It's so attention grabbing and creative.

"Show off"....lol he really is!....and its the same for me when I got into Nct the dance line where really poping in my face....so immediately fell for Mark and Taeyong since they really have bright dance colors....then I got into the vocals later on....I would say my favorite vocals right now is Doyoung, Haechan currently andoh I love Renjun's voice(just really love it!)....thats why I didn't pick a bias or wrecker till after 3 months.
Totally agree with you that 127 members are allowed to show off their individuality and showmanship. The Jaehyun, Doyoung, Heachan and Taeil combo is top notch! Not to take away from Yuta and Jungwoo when ever SM uses them.

don i do also feel bad for taeil but that is the hazard of being the main vocal in a group. it could have been your moment but since you can't dance during the bridge, you really maybe overlooked. and it may be the reason why haechan is not a main dancer in dream when he is a main dancer in 127, because he is a main vocal in dream(please, do correct me if i am wrong). there is only one person who has been able to have the title of main dancer and main vocal and that is taemin (who is a monster). and while i am at it, please do check out shinee. i want to know your opinion on their performances, which i think is dope.
Taemin is indeed an ace. He has always been THE main dancer of SM. Then he was further mentored by Jonghyun after Shinee debuted so his vocals improves tremendously and now he's main vocal material. I can see how you confuse Haechan as a main dancer but he's lead dancer and main vocal for both groups

Kick It was definitely a moment for 127. Everybody and their mum was doing the dance challenge and knew the key moves. It really was a move up to the next level of recognition for them.
I do love the raw, kinda cocky or smirking attitude to this choreo. Felt like a perfect nod to Bruce Lee and also with the style of the song. (The whole album is honestly amazing too)
I know what you mean about Taeyong being a show-off (I don't think that has to have a negative connotation, maybe a natural "showman" ?). He has a bit of freedom to play with choreo when he's in the centre position so he always comes up with the characters and variations to really communicate an attitude. It's so attention grabbing and creative.

Even if he is, he deserve to be a show off. He once used to be scolded by his dance teacher when he was a trainee that said he was a bad dancer. That makes him practised over practised everyday, and looks how's he turned out now 😁
And now they've (their dance choreographer) said that taeyong is an idea bank of lots of their choreo. And for kick it the moving fingers above the head, also part when mark step on his knee are his ideas.

"Show off"....lol he really is!....and its the same for me when I got into Nct the dance line where really poping in my face....so immediately fell for Mark and Taeyong since they really have bright dance colors....then I got into the vocals later on....I would say my favorite vocals right now is Doyoung, Haechan currently andoh I love Renjun's voice(just really love it!)....thats why I didn't pick a bias or wrecker till after 3 months.

don i do also feel bad for taeil but that is the hazard of being the main vocal in a group. it could have been your moment but since you can't dance during the bridge, you really maybe overlooked. and it may be the reason why haechan is not a main dancer in dream when he is a main dancer in 127, because he is a main vocal in dream(please, do correct me if i am wrong). there is only one person who has been able to have the title of main dancer and main vocal and that is taemin (who is a monster). and while i am at it, please do check out shinee. i want to know your opinion on their performances, which i think is dope.

Taemin is indeed an ace. He has always been THE main dancer of SM. Then he was further mentored by Jonghyun after Shinee debuted so his vocals improves tremendously and now he's main vocal material.
