I really admire Jon as a songwriter and more than that, as a kind hearted guy (caring for his country and also is actively involved in his community like with the JBJ soul kitchen, opening food banks to helped those who need it). He could have just avoided writing topics that will have heated debate
Instead he wrote what he saw and I’m glad he wrote “American Reckoning” :)

    A few thoughts:
    1) The first CD I ever bought was "Slippery When Wet" for my oldest brother.
    2) The first song I heard from this album was, "Do What You Can". I was so overcome by it, I immediately played it for all my children and my husband. It is the song I most wished in the almost 10 years since she died that my mom was still alive so I could share it with her. I thought it was going to be my all time favorite Bon Jovi song until...
    3) I heard "American Reckoning". I had to pull my car over so I could cry safely.
    4) I confess that I have quoted "American Reckoning" twice online (Yes, I gave full credit with much gratitude to Mr. Bon Jovi). In a funny note, the first time was in a comment to your show, Mr. Ari.

This was a thrill to me to hear this John Bon Jovi interview and to also see the clips of his early career. I've been a fan for years because he has a great voice and I love the songs 🎵 💕 ❤ ! But more so, he is an Inspiration as a person! He is probably the only Rock Star who works in a kitchen DOING DISHES TO SERVE OTHERS. He is an example of humility, kindness, compassion and decency. He and his wife are wonderful examples of those who serve others with the Soul Kitchen they established to benefit communities. I was very happy that he performed at President Biden's Inauguration. I wish him and his wife the Greatest Blessings!

Back in the 90s I worked for a landscaping company and we would mow the drummer's house.
In 2005 -2011 I delivered a few pizzas while working with domino's pizza to JBJ. He has a beautiful house on the outside and his wife was very nice to a guy that was making $ 5.15 an hour. 👍🥰

Been seeing Jon Bon Jovi on a number of long interviews these days and it never gets tiresome as he's classy, articulate and now a bit edgy politically. When you think of class there are lots of entertainers but two recently who come to mind are Bon Jovi and Dave Grohl - two of the great performers for the Celebration of the Inauguration.
Bon Jovi and Dorothea could do like many - just give their money to help others - but this couple and family actually put their own time, effort and cash into their ventures to help and lift others.

First off, how cool is Jon, a lot can be said about a Musician’s Influences reflects the measure of a Man.
I wanna take this time to brag on this Series-Notice Who they choose-maybe it’s someone you revere/or are new to-but because you are here-you have listened.
Like Music, this takes Us along through our shared humanity/the social glue that binds Us together, not to mention, but I like to; tending to our own psychological survival.
    Music increases contact/coordination/cooperation.
Our brains don’t just process sound when we hear music, but instead tries to understand the intent of the musician and in what’s being said=that right there is empathy. One of the many reasons we feel connected to someone we don’t readily know.
Right now we are separated from each other/or quarantining off from one another due to deeply differing views-THIS is a respite.
And just like Music, it doesn’t require a pedigree/a certain religious or party affiliation....as long as we’ve got Music/Dialogue, there is a path for connection.
If you only have ten minutes and unable to take in Mavericks...might I also suggest another gateway to an oxytocin flood-SING, sing until You believe it can get better.
    Disclaimer:can run up to 30 minutes-Yo should know, it’s a commitment.

The Flying Rat: Biden Climate Tzar John Kerry wants you to drive an electric car, but owns his own private jet
    POSTED BY ROBERT WALKER
    JANUARY 28, 2021
FEATURED NEWS/ POLITICAL OPINIONS/ THE SWAMP
WASHINGTON, DC - It was a great four years without having to see John Kerry’s face. But, thanks to Joe Biden, he’s back and serving as the President’s special envoy on climate change.
John Kerry wants Americans to believe that we are all evil for consuming fossil fuel. We are evil for not walking, biking or carpooling to work as we pollute the skies, killing future generations of Americans. We are evil for not buying electric cars from Tesla so Nancy Pelosi can one day sell her Tesla stock for a huge profit.
What John Kerry doesn’t want you to know is that he and his family own their own private jet-fuel guzzling, emissions spewing jet.
Thanks to Fox News, who Kerry and the Democrats are trying to deplatform, a report released by the network shows Kerry’s family owns a Gulfstream Aerospace Jet…and a private jet charter company. Kerry’s own wife, how could she, and her family own a private jet charter company called Flying Squirrel, LLC.
Kerry’s private jet is a 1995 Gulfstream G-IV multi-engine jet that seats 22. It’s powered by a Rolls Royce 611SER turbo that packs 12,450 pounds of thrust to jet Kerry to and from his global climate meetings in style.
But wait, it doesn’t end there. Kerry is also a part-owner in the company. According to his financial disclosures, show he and his wife own $1,000,001 in assets with that company.
The name of the company is Flying Squirrel, but for his part in trying to fleece the American people, Kerry is a flying rat.
