Cats are gentle creatures. When you are depressed or crying because you are sad, have you ever noticed your cat snuggling close to you or staring at you with concern? Cats don't use their whole body to express their emotions like dogs do, but they are gentle creatures that will snuggle up to you when you are sad or depressed.
Yeah, no. My cats love me but they've never been more affectionate when I'm depressed. Of course, I long for death pretty much 24/7 these days. But still.
That's sooooo true. I was very ill with pneumonia and one of my cats stayed with me day and night. I'm downstairs on the couch and upstairs during the night and she wouldn't leave me for 3 months. Always close. 💚💚💚
Yes omg my cat really helped me through my depression after I was doing bad health wise because of my weight loss surgery. She was extra affectionate during those times and would always come up to me and snuggle when I would cry. And after I came home from the hospital she was so happy!
so true. once i was crying in a quiet corner in my campus, sitting on the floor, heartbroken & sobbing alone. a cat approached me, snuggled between my legs, practically comforting me. there were plenty of cats on campus, but i've never met this one before. and i know if a cat approaches to ask for food, but this one didn't, just sat there, willingly receiving pets. truly unforgettable moment
Introducing cats to each other can be a delicate thing. Doing it wrong cat lead to cats hating each other for life. You can find videos on how to do it gradually on youtube of course. Sometimes they just get used to each other, but not always.1:30 Generally though, once cats start grooming each other, they're friends and you can relax.
I know, that can happen too. I was relieved to hear that Jackson Galaxy say that he has a house full of cats, and they definitely don’t all get along. The goal is an uneasy standoff, it doesn’t have to be perfect. Is your cat getting abscesses? Apparently a “real” cat fight will result in blood or abscesses. If not, the one doing the chasing probably thinks it’s fun, but that doesn’t mean the one being chased is enjoying it. Trying to tire out the chasing cat by playing a lot can help, but it is hard. Good luck. I know it’s never simple.
@@ILuvAyeAye Sadly I don't have a cat. My apartment is really strict about pets. (oddly they are relaxed about literally everything else) For a while I had a neighbor who's cat loved me and would come running meowing excitedly when she saw me but they moved last year.
A therapist once told me, when you tell am only child “you’re going to get a little sibling! But don’t worry, we will love you and her equally” the child can experience it similarly to a woman whose husband tells her “I’m getting another partner! But don’t worry, I will love her and you equally.” Obviously it is not the same, because the parent never promised the oldest child (or cat!) that they would be their only one, but if it’s all the child or cat knows, it feels similar. So yes, territoriality definitely exists, for cats as well as children. But you can eventually get them used to it, and to even appreciate and love their sibling.
The one thing you should do is never let cats "fight it out" it could lead to serious injuries and worst case scenario worsen the chances of having two cats get along under the same roof
Yep agreed! We kept them separated for 2 weeks before introducing them face to face. When I say “fight it out”, it’s more like letting them play rough and not breaking up every single fight they have. We always keep an eye out though and break them up when one gets aggressive.
@@litto_lychee That's wonderful I'm so glad your two fur babies bonded well at the end. I definitely know what you mean when you used the term "fight" it's just some people (especially if their first time cat owners) don't really do any research and may take things literal but im really happy that everyone in your family gets along together very well.
@@virginiaamorebieta9497 Because I've been following several of these profiles for about 2 weeks observing their behavior. This one is just like the rest, he targets women, lures them into conversations, and then either asks for email or for you to download another app so you can talk. Several of the women I've spoken with says they either pretend to be with various animal rescues, or they start up a romance scheme and start asking for money for phone cards or medicine, etc. You are more than welcome to speak with him, just please be careful and don't give them any information.
Two cats are definitely better than one. We adopted two six week kittens but unfortunately one of the kittens got sick before we picked her up so we ended up only adopting one. Fortunately, a few months later we got a sudden phone call that there was a new litter from the same mom and now have two wonderful boys 11 and 8 months old. I was extremely apprehensive at introducing a six week old kitten to a 4 month old kitten due to the size discrepancy, and there was a lot of hissing and aggression from the older one so we tried to shelter the little one inside a cage (the little guy was completely unfazed). In hindsight the older one was probably just trying to get a better understanding of the other's smell. Within 1-2 days though they were best bros. They still want their alone time and one-on-one time with their cat parents, but they get along so well.
Yeah it's not a thing. Lol pretty sure it's under the category of wrong things to do. But even if you introduce perfectly there still can be some tension between them. I'm guessing it's because they need to test who will be dominant.
@@_inflection3209 I have to admit that I twice failed (different cats) at introducing cats the standard way by separating them and using scent swapping. However, I think I should have given it more time. At least a month instead of one or two weeks. 🙄 Letting them fight if our sounds more expedient, but I don’t want injured cats and the vet bills that come with it. 💵
I knew Taro was a rescue. The way I knew is because Taro’s ear is snipped. Because unfortunately shelters get tons of strays in a day the snipped ear if a indicator that the cat has been spayed
My cat was the same. He was an at-home cat until he grew up and kept going outside staying out for many days. One time, we thought we lost him because he didn't go home for a month and a neighbor was offering new kitties so we went ahead and got two. When he went home he.wasn't happy lol. They're good buddies now, and they don't stay out that long anymore. They must have satisfied their traveling spirit and wanted to settle down
When we got my cat a kitten, she actually took it to him straight away, and kind of adopted him. She would groom him, play with him as gently as possible.
My male cat did the same thing. I found a five week-old kitten under the hood of my neighbor's car. I gave the kitten some dry food and while it was eating he walked over and started locking its butt.
Something similar happened when we got another cat. We just ended up giving the older cat more attention than the kitten (easier said than done) and we think that helped
That little "leave it to beaver" soundtrack while Lychees head is sticking out the car window had me cracking up. Like everything came crumbling down when Taro came into the picture. 😂
Was ur kitty taro a stray?, i notice the top of 1 of the ears is missing. Some organizations crop strays ears when they take them n get them fixed, that way from a distance they know that kitty wont have babies. So happy u gave a deserving kitty n good home n a new friend🐾💞👍😁🐈+🐈💞🐾

Mine never get along. Introduced very carefully, then reintroduced per Jackson galaxy. One is prey to the other.

My mom always had us brush the new cat with a brush we used on the resident cat(s)...mixes their smells

another woman's perfume.
Just kidding. It's cute.

No, it makes sense. Cats will even hiss at their sibling they grew up with if they just came back from the veterinarian.
It's just the scent.
😂😂😂😂

Relax, they make far louder noise than inflict pain. Just a bunch of overacting furry balls.
Calm down. Cats know their limits. They're predators d r a reason. They enjoy rough fights
I agree, also two female cats are less likely to get along than a male and female or two males. They got lucky.
What cuties
Taro hanging her head out the window was hilarious! Her ears were flopping in the wind! Too cute.
Precious and beautiful sisters!🐈🐈!!
Two beautiful cats!! 🥰❤️
Omg that looks just like my lynx point Siamese. He lived for 19 years and he was the biggest personality in a cat I ever met.
They both have a great life.
Cats are so enchanting!🐈💕💗
Taro: She said for me to stay, I have to be her servant. So here we are.
"The big sib and the little sib" lool. They are so cute together.
The cutest cat ever 😺😺💕💕💕
I adopted Dottie last year after my first cat Kelly passed away. Dottie looks very much like Taro!
