Ya know what? I was just thinking about that recently while listening to some of his music. I was thinking about the passion and emotion. When other rappers want to get a point across really strongly, or want a certain word or phrase to sound really badass and hard, or emotional in some way, they'll lower their pitch, raise it, or use a gruff voice or a louder voice or whatever, and Eminem does that as well of course, but the way he does it is different. You can really feel genuine passion and emotions coming through, all different kinds of emotions obviously depending on which tune we're talking about, and I always wonder about what processes he goes through to get himself in that almost method acting type mindset.. Till I Collapse is what I was listening to. He was *feeling it*, man. and so many other great tunes of his are the same, some take me on emotional roller coaster rides, it's crazy. Also helps that he's a talented dramatic / comedic actor.

And the fact Rick Rubin is in the video and he produced Beastie Boys first album. He introduced Beasties to Hard Rock and that's how all those Rock parts where in Licensed To Ill, Bboys first album - just like the way there's guitar bits in this.

He'll always be a legend even if the rock community turned its back on him. At least he has become one of the most sampled artists ever and makes a lot from that, but I wouldn't blame him for being a little bitter.
