I'm from Thailand. It hardly to find Pepsi in plastic bags these days, especially in Bangkok. They've changed to plastic glass with ice to make it more convenient. Why we don't drink Pepsi from can? I think the reason are... - Thailand is really hot so we love to drink pop with ice and plastic bag is cheap. You could find that we normally put food in the plastic bag also (it is plastic bag for food product) - They can't store lots of soda can to make them cool, I mean most of this is the street food and drinks. These vendors sell in the pedestrian road. So put the ice in the bag instead is easier.
@@Hhhjjuujkoihh because they are adding ice to it and using bags is cheaper and lighter to carry them plastic cups. a lot of street vendors do this and you don’t usually get plastic cups unless it’s an expensive drink or from a cafe
It would be fun to drink out of a bag but especially considering this is a region more likely to have trash end up in the ocean I would say this as an overall practice is much worse than using aluminum or glass. I also feel like the reason for this is so the vendor can collect the recycling fee but maybe they don't have those in the Philippines so then it would just be for scrap value of the aluminum.
@@komaedanagito4real oh you mean the vendor. Ya I'm sure they do and that's also the reason they put it in the bag. Helps them but not the environment.
They might just do it as a fun way to drink it. I have seen county fairs put lemonade in a bag with ice. Just a novelty thing. Of course a can with a cup of ice makes more sense...but people like novelty fun things to eat and drink out of.
i think its because reselling cans of pepsi or coke is illegal without a licence but putting it in the bag gives no proof weather it was actually the company's product
yes because you can buy them in bulk at the hardware store and they are easier for the vendors to carry and store in their carts. it also saves on space in their carts, I know this because my auntie use to sell cold drinks back when we all lived in Jakarta
we drink sodas and juices out of a plastic bag in the Philippines but only for those refillable glass bottles, the person was selling *canned pepsi* so he could've just gave the pepsi can and some ice in a cup for the person, that plastic bag will end up in a landfill for sure
I don’t get it why don’t they just pour it in a plastic cup with ice like we do here in the States? With a cup you can set it down and don’t have to constantly carry it.
As a soda drinker it's about the mouth feel. soda loses flavor and texture the moment it is poured going down in temp and carbonation. Solid state melting iice mixed w peak carbonation and mixed w more and more ice would be colder and taste feel better more crisp cold and harsh...but as the ice melts and the drink cools it gets watered down so it wouldn't be good for long so taste 2x but would go flat 2x as fast...
so that the customer can get ice too, you can have the can if you want but the ice comes with and keeps the drink colder for longer because the summers are hot
They sell coke in a bag in my neighborhood too but its a bit different
Bruuh

Blue Raccoon i have seen pink colour drinking water placed in shops what is that pink colour.??
Blue Raccoon
Another reason is because you can recycle cans for money at some places, atleast thats what they do in Mexico
hot bag and cool bag. hot bag use with curry , cool bag use with ice + water
Tastes better than regular pepsi for some reason.
yummy bpa
Use to drink sodas in bags in Mexico as a kid they were great those were the days.

I give this video 5 bags of popcorn and 3 bags of soda with a small Thailand flag keychain.
We do this in the Philippines as well.
why? lol thats so dumb, you could just drink it from that can like everyone else in the world
aha The vendor can keep the can that way. Why? Because they can sell it and earn some extra money in the junk shop
All that ice probably costs more to make than the can is worth.
nope...
Chris W Price is the same and we will be worth more.I am Thai.
