So I'm looking at the February 22, 1969 issue of Billboard magazine and there's a full-page ad of a drawing of Barbra Streisand and it only says "Her new single, 'Frank Mills', from the hit musical 'Hair'". Came here to see if there's a video and bingo! Here it is! I've never heard it before. Thanks for posting this.
@@aidanheemskerk6778 There are many singers and actors who did "Frank Mills" and many did a great job. I like her version , but don't know the one Suzette did, must listen to that and let you know.... by, have a great Saterday. ua-cam.com/video/FhuTdHoGx84/v-deo.html
Odd she didn't want a nose job because of fear it might harm her voice. Gorgeous regardless! But YIKES- There she was, smoking a cigarette! Guess they didn't know the hazards back then. Thankfully, she's still utterly AMAZING! Hope she wasn't inhaling. *LOL* Like Bill Clinton & pot?!
This singer doesn't smoke ANYTHING for the same reason. Don't want to injure my voice or throat in any way. I refuse intubation during surgeries; thankful there are other options now! I'm told it might be required to save my life. Told them I'd rather DIE rather than lose my voice! I'll NEVER sign off on it.
I never knew Barbra recorded this! (I was 9 and it wasn’t very popular). I’ve always loved this song from Hair!
still a good alternate take on one of my favourite songs ever from a musical
She sounds like who she is; a nice Jewish girl from Brooklyn and because she does ,she adds a note of authenticity to this song

If you like the song, get the original by Shelley Plimpton (mother of Martha Plimpton, the actress) on you tube. It's really sweet.
Annie Golden did a wonderful job too in the movies version.
@@DirkjeA That was Suzette Charles. Annie did the song "Air" on the soundtrack album

Love that song as done by Suzette Charles in the film! Really surprised Babs sang it. Definitely Barbra-style; lovely!
Love this song, and a great take by Streisand
I love it! I used the instrumental for a weekly public affairs program I did years ago.
This is the type of rarity I wish she would have included on her recent Release Me 2 album.
love it
Liza Minnelli and Esther Ofarim did it great too...
Simply a comical song

Does anyone know what year this was recorded? What a rarity. Just curious.
