Hello, I'm in the exact situation you mention I bought a Fiat 500 F 1972 in Italy but is located in Aosta, quite far from the port and I will like to drive it to the port, my wife has the Spanish citizenship, the seller wants to cancel the registration. How did you manage to transfer the tittle of this car. Did you drive the car in Europe? Thank you in advance.

In Italy you have to go to the ACI with the seller and do the transfer in person.. After that you can get it to the port by towing it.

@@drivinivan did you need to get the car deregistered in italy? what sort of title where you able to get (im assuming you are a non resident)

What are the rules state side about bringing in a foreign car with foreign safety standards? What about registering and titling state side?

As long as it is 25 years old, it will be fine to bring in. You should be able to register it as historic due to the car's age in any US State. Thanks for watching and commenting, and please like, subscribe and share! Drivin' Ivan
