They also happen to have (what I would imagine to be incredibly rare in a residential neighbourhood in the 90s) a smoke alarm connected to the fire department, of which the genius 7 year old was smart enough to set off. While this is all happening, a big bad criminal Santa is trying to enter the premises. So cool, calm and collected.

Damn dude didn’t understand it was even his fault and blamed me. Listening to that story also made me retrospectively wonder why our fire alarm didn’t go off.

It may be stupid or may not be. I saw a video where a kid called 911 to help solve a math problem.. and another where a little kid was trying to ask for help because his dad stabbed his mom.. all calls should be taken seriously until proven otherwise.
Yeah, that operator should’ve been fired. She should have had the professionalism to pick up the suspicion over a kid reporting a Santa Clause standing outside of their house trying to get in. It should always come with the territory of her job to analyse that, and know something is off. She failed those kids.

It reminded me of the case where a social worker called police because a man was holding his sons inside his house and refusing to let them go. The dispatcher didn't take the call seriously, and shortly afterward, the man blew up his house, killing himself and his two sons.

The details like in the 1st story when you are talking about the guy who was drinking wine and enjoying putting up the lights with his date,the music playing is so festive and jolly sounding creating that sense of joy/comfort. It then switches to complete silence and fearful music, shifting the vibes and really instilling that fear.
