We start about half hour out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, inbound, using Flight Following. Dan Millican is pilot flying from the right seat to get ready for his CFI checkride coming up. This is what you can expect if you are going to go to an unfamiliar Class C airport. We start capturing and showing some of our foreflight screens. Hope that's helpful! Thanks for flying along!
i enjoy and learning from your video's . keep up with the good work.
Thanks!!
Thank you for sharing! Great video.
I always enjoy your videos Dan. I rarely will watch a video start to finish but I always watch yours LOL. When is your CFI checkride?
@@FlyJFY Thank you!! One day soon. : )

I got that pilot companion workbook for my friends that fly with me too.

Just found your channel. Nice. But I have to say, being Canadian, I would have named the channel "Take Off eh". ;-)
Lol!!
PC12NG would be a great fit for your operational requirements

Why aren't you squawking VFR before contacting Approach? Also, shouldn't you specify distance and position when contacting Approach?
Hello Dan !!! What is with the tail camera, the quality of the pic is horrible ... ?????
Yeah, not the camera's fault. Ever since my top overhaul last summer, i get an oil film spit out over it. It's getting better though.
@@TakingOff If I were you, I go back to the shop and ask for my money back !!! ;0 D
You need to talk about who is with you. Is left seat a pilot? or just a friend. Try to make a little more personal like Aviation 101. Why do you fly right seat? Just curious.
Thanks for the feedback Bill. I forget people might be new not having watched the previous videos... I’m training for CFI so flying from the right seat. The passengers are part of my film crew as we travel to different film jobs we have. It’s a good reminder to mention that on each video.
Great video you said the clouds are at 4100 AGL so MSL is 5000 correct ? You said 3000 field elevation is 900
Lots of talking... GUMPS... what happened to the S.
