On my first Levo ride with the 700 watt hour battery I did a range test. I rode in Eco mode 35 Mi with 5400 feet climbing and still had 2 of 10 bars left-- I determined that the battery could outlast me! Since then I've learned that it's somewhat nonlinear as the battery depletes. I've also learned to enjoy the use of Turbo (max power) because I can get so much more riding done in less time. That's what makes an e-bike so awesome and versatile. Also I do a lot of gnarly Rocky technical climbing and I enjoy that just as much as descending. I've been curious how much difference in range I would get when I spend more time in the middle power mode (Trail mode) instead of Eco. It's not too much of a difference, so for the sake of getting more bang for the buck, I often stay in Trail mode. When I want to get more of a workout in a smaller Trail network, I choose to use eco mode. So, to your point in the video title/thumbnail, I've learned that a full battery depletion generally correlates to a full energy depletion of my own kind. Good luck to you my friend and I hope you are able to endure this crisis with your family. Keep riding to keep fit and sane.
I did the same thing this weekend. Went 32 miles and over 5200 in elevation. Had 3%of my battery left. Its a turbo levo with a 700w battery.i was in eco except lazt lap up had to put in turbo to climb up. Lol! And I'm a big fatso! Was beat down and legs were shot!
Nice video. After lockdown I want to get the Sight VLT 29, the 630 battery looks the go for longer rides, Trek rail is another option but the rattly Bosch motor is putting me off.
Love my Norco range! such a sick bike.. The only draw back to the bike is the internal routing.. I had to take out the motor to access my dropper seat post internal cable last night. But it wasn't a huge problem taking out the motor. Have you updated the firmware yet? if not try it.. its a good update
@@Bikepark167 Biggest Update will be trail mode which now acts like EMTB mode on the bosch system. You can also adjust assist on each mode to low medium high. Currently i have my ECO on high and Trail on medium. Makes ECO mode much more tolerable.. i'm still testing the max distance i can get out of ECO.
@Bikepark167 Love the videos. Your thoughts? Ebikes are scarce in Australia, I was trying to hang out for a kenevo comp but can get my hands on a Range vlt 2 now in large. Norco sizing recommend XL I'm 6'1, 100kg with a fairly long reach.
Hey mate Enjoying you're videos. I'm currently looking for an e bike and am torn between this norco vlt c2 and the specialized levo expert. Both are the same price here in Australia. Have you ridden both? I mainly ride trails in my area. I've ridden the e7000 motor and didn't mind the power but felt it could use more. The more powerful levo is very enticing but you say the norco feels the best. Which one would you choose? Cheers Matt
Matthew Sorensen if they are the same price, I feel like it’s a pretty easy decision if you are doing more trail riding and downhill with some chunky stuff I would get the levo it has the best motor for sure if you need more suspension and are doing more jumps drops more park riding I would do the Norco it handles the best and is super fun to ride. 27.5 wheels are more fun for me since I like to be in the air a lot.
@@Bikepark167 Yeah unfortunately theres not a big varity of good jumps on my local trails. I used to ride dirt jumps on bmx and like you i prefer to be in the air than on the ground. Also i missed typed before i ment levo comp not the expert... Not sure if that changes anything? Thanks for you're thoughts Greatly appreciated 👊
Matthew Sorensen well the comp is definitely not as nice.. I think it really depends what’s more important, the motor and how smooth the Levo pedals, or suspension and handling on the Norco, I personally love the Norco, it’s my favorite bike. Battery life is great and handling is superb, but motor is definitely weaker.. either one is gonna be fun! Let me know what you decide!! Stay safe
@131 Pizza I ended up getting the turbo levo. Just the base model. I ended up having issues with the standard fork so they replaced it under warranty and i upgraded it to the pike ultimate fork. Makes a huge difference.
Hey, what do you like about the Norco compared to the Giant reign ? I get about 50 km / 27 ml with mostly trail riding (not a lot of descending) in eco on my Giant reign.
Grant Crossley both super fun! The Norco has a little more travel and feels better on the jumps, otherwise both super good bikes. I like the motor better in the reign forsure
@@Ryan-gc3gj Hello man, I would ask you how are you feeling the bike in the L size. I'm 5'9 and as the website tells I should get the L but someone told me to go for the M..
I test rode the Giant and bought the Norco. As noted the Giant is more stable but to me the Norco way more fun and plenty capable on the downhill. I love it and I have ridden almost 100km on a battery in combo of eco and trail. I'm a bit lighter and the bike is a bit lighter than the Range
You seem to have a very different perspective of lockdown in the good old USA than we have in Europe. You are in very close contact with your buddy and if he’s infected you’re going to be breathing in those Covid droplets from such a short separation and will get infected yourself, we are not permitted to meet and exercise with anyone outside of our household. All my riding buddies and I are sticking to XC rides, avoiding jumps n drops and any steeps, we do not wish to end up in emergency at the moment with the added risks of infection in any hospital or put any extra burden on our medical services. Think about it ........from a UK E biker............

@@Bikepark167 You (and Loam Wolf) pretty much sold me on the Norco. It looks to be in it's own league

quick question here, i am 6'2, and 225lbs, do you think large is to small for me? looking to buy 2020 norco range, thanks
probably would reccomend an xl i'm 5 9-5 10 and am on the large. i've rode an xl and it didn't seem to crazy big.

Should I get a 2019 e trance pro (new) or the 2019 norco vlt 2 (Ex rental basically new)?
Nick Britt same price? What kind of riding? The Norco is more playful the giant more stable and faster on the downs. New is always better

6.22 what is that in the sky a ballon or ufo lol just weird with it being in pandemic? Spy ballon lol
Looks like you have Sold your Giant Reign .
Tayfun Ugrasbul yes I am full Norco now, I miss the Yamaha motor but the Norco jumps way better

do i know u? i think so
20 miles is absolutely nothing. E-Bikes are so pathetic. I usually don't ride any less than 60 km (38 miles) on my XC training loops.
Cross country is fun? 👎🏽👎🏽 these bikes are meant to shred not get in shape.
