I think i paid a buck for the brass nails and another 5 bucks for the MDF. Fun and fairly easy project. I find that I paint more now thst it's convenient to do so.
It was simple to make. If you are in a hurry just use epoxy or crazy glue (CA glue) for all your joints. It should be strong enough and it would save all the time of predrilling little holes for the nails. Though, the brass nails do look cool.
this is wicked mate, I wonder if a lid with hinges could work too? just to keep dust out and easier to travel. after something to keep my 4 year old sons fingers away from my space marines haha
So cool ! I was actually planning on building one of my own, I think that i'll steal your plans. I'm wondering what is the plastic strip you used to stick your LEDs on ?
@@SaucisseMasquee7 it was a piece of plastic that looks like fake wood. In Japan it is sold in home centers, or anywhere that sells materials for fixing up your home. I think it is supposed to be used where the flooring meets the walls. I haven’t got a clue what it is actually called.
Awesome idea with the LED strip.
Thanks. It’s super simple to do and helps so much when painting.
Good job and a great inspiration for my own project.
Thanks. Good luck on your project. What sort of project are you making?
Looks like the one Gw used to offer .I bet it’s only a fraction of the price.good job my man!

That's awesome! I love your expression when you turned on the LEDs!
Thanks. I wasn't expecting them to be so bright.
That's definitely an upgrade from the one I made out of foam - time to plan a new one.
