Thank you so much! Wondering if I could ask your opinion, I had the rest of my seed order coming in and was under the impression it was supposed to be delivered this week, turns out it was delivered on Saturday and was freezing temps the past two nights but warm during the day. Do you think I should plant them right away to avoid the seeds dying or do you think they'll be okay? if you happen to know :)

Ya love the the sound of frogs to! Have you thought about using old tires for raised beds? Have a good one!

I've seen other people do that before, we used to have a lot of tires on our last property (my husband's side fun lol) and thought of bringing them for that reason, but I was back and forth on if I was into or not. Still an idea for the future though :) Enjoy your night! ~Stephanie

I've used them in the past and ran across this article and really liked the one about potatoes...

Thank you, i read through the article and loved it. I like the compost bin idea as well as the potato idea. Using them in a greenhouse with sand for extra heat is great too. I never brought into consideration the way the black tire will help heat the soil. Thanks so much for sharing this with us! Enjoy your day

Snow in April is a little depressing.
I saw the question u asked about yr seeds. I wouldn't be concerned. If you think about the shipping process and the fact that trucks, planes, and sorting facilities have little to no climate control, chances are every seed you've ever ordered went through many temperature changes on their journeys. Sitting for hours in cargo holds or trailers waiting to be loaded or unloaded in hot sun or sub zero nights, to be taken to the next place.
Humidity seems to be the worst enemy for seeds.
You mentioned new chicks? Did your other chickens go to "freezer camp" for the winter? Do you get new chicks every spring? What about ducks?
Hope you had a wonderful Easter!

Thank you. That's what I was figuring, I was mainly concerned about all the heating and cooling setting off their lifecycle; this is our first time ordering seeds through the mail. The packaging was a little wet but it didn't seem to get through to the seeds thankfully.
We had roosters to freezer camp and are trying to expand our flock, we supply eggs to our family whenever we can and then hope to have extra to sell and help the chickens pay their way a little more, we went with a different breed (that I've always loved) and can't wait to share with everyone :), hopefully they make it here okay. We were back and forth on whether or not to get more ducks (they are messier and more expensive to care for) and if we did we wanted Khaki campbells and from everywhere we looked at ordering there was one problem or another with getting them, so I took it as a sign for now lol. Our Easter was wonderful, thank you and I hope yours was as well! Have a great night ~Stephanie
