I´m really enjoying your videos about consultant´s life, I have been working at Deloitte Brazil since 2015 (5 yrs), my daily routine is similar (Actually I´m a Senior Tax Consultant). Thanks for share your knowledge and experience!!
I'm a final year finance student and I'm interested in consulting as well- Management / Finance Division Consulting. I also want to try to apply to PwC especially @ their Dubai Office. I just dont know yet where and how to start. Lol anyways keep on sharin such invaluable contents!
Bruhhh where EY at??? I interned this past winter at PwC in New York office and all I heard is that any big 4 firm you go to, you will have the experience. Will be interning with EY next month... hopefully it goes well!! Love your videos btw!!!
Thanks man!! And bro, I've seen I think 2 job postings from EY in my entire life 😂 their hiring process is slick hahahaha - Good luck on your internship, hope it goes well! ;)
Primal Career EY usually hire thru campus recruitment hence no job postings lol if you know the recruiter or someone in the hiring position, you are good to go!! Plus if you get a recommendation from someone working at EY, that’s another plus.
Primal Career For sure!! I went to their office visit continuously and thats how the recruiter at the time noticed and literally gave me pointers and a interview slot at one of the conventions. Honestly speaking, always been a fan of EY’s culture and hospitality.... that’s something I always tell everyone, if you like a company go to their office visits, get noticed, ask them about what you are interested in and never shy away from speaking up because at the end, you don’t want to work at a place where you don’t feel confident enough to speak your mind. That’s the way you will bring revenue in or else you will just be doing the job alone. Don’t know if that makes sense lol
hey great video as always! Whats the best way to apply for IT consultant job? doesn't have to be only at big 4. I never get response through online application. Do you know any career coaches who can help prepare with a targeted job application?
If anyone is looking for a career path become a Loan Officer. You don’t need a specialized degree. All you need to do is pass a licensing exam. Made 100k my first year. already above at 130k halfway thru the year. Just graduated college in 2018. Obviously the market has helped with lower interest rates but a average loan officer is going to make at least 75-80k a year in a down market
@@independentconsultant Seriously you have a peak quality in photography and in your information but sorry I want you talk little slowly to understand fast and thanks for all . I appreciate all efforts
Hey Josh! Quarantine has been affecting the number of clients we get, so it's kinda slower these days, but usually it depends on the phase of the projects. projects typically take about 9-12 months. The first and last 2-3 months are insane so maybe 55-70h per week, but in the middle it's kinda slow so 30-40h/week.
I am!! And yesss it's very trendy and new because it's adding more and more features making it more valuable to companies that's why so many are switching right now!
@@independentconsultant for example a recent technology you have recently learned. How a fresher can answer to this question if he didn't work before in technology?
So in IT Consulting you either are a Functional Consultant like me, or a Technical Consultant. A functional consultant does more client-facing , and a technical consultant does more "technical stuff". Where I work, even technical consultants don't need any coding skills, only Excel. But I know that if you work with other ERP systems, you will require coding skills like Java mostly and C++.
@@independentconsultant Did the technical consultants at PwC require much code as well? I'm really interested in working in the Big4/Accenture once I graduate from college
I am confused..title is about PwC consulting thing, but on the on the PC background you have DXC, what's kind of merge of HPE and CSC but focused on services, if I see HP standart logo I would guess that it's their NB/WKs model, but DXC doesn't make much sense for me. Generally good points, nothing like other Big 4 big heads that thinks like they inventing the earth, so "normality" is appreciated, maybe it's caused by the fact the you're in IT, we're not geeks as almost everybody says ;)))
Hey man! Are you a muslim? If yes how you keeping up your Islamic life with work life? In terms of prayer time, cocktail parties engagement and perspective
Hey, I am! For prayers it's easy because I work from home. When I used to go to an office it would be max 2 times a week and I had a mosque in front of the office so it was easy to manage. And for social gatherings, there are always non-alcoholic options and for dinners I could choose what to eat so again easy to manage! I would go to get to know more people from the firm for networking purposes, so I don't really care what they consume as long as my own goal is clear
Haha it depends on your motive! Everyone is different but you might want to give original answers, different than "It's a big 4 firm with a nice culture"
talk about their core values and how u instill those values in ur own core values, give tangible examples during interview speaking from experience haah
Your Probably the only person that can explain consulting in simple terms
Haha, thanks @Adam! It can be complicated I have to say 😅
So relate to sleeping in till 8am. One of the best parts of the quarantined life 😂👍
Key advantages:
Willing to learn
Be out of the comfort zone
(Besides skills, ex graduated:
Work with clients/negotiation/Business analysis)
That alarm in the intro traumatises me every time

OMG, yes. I hate it.
