I'll say it again this man was born to play he was given something special from God that even the most skilled players don't have. He can't explain it because it appears and happens so fast and natural. There are others like him that just are different from other guys. He can play so many things, and different styles. His solos are always creative and fresh sounding. There are a handful of guys that come to mind guys like Sylvain Luc, and Guthrie Govan who are just incredible players. There are others.
Wether he covers a Stevie Wonder or a Billy Joel tune, he does it because he enjoys them. End result: he makes them enjoyable to us... Bireli Lagrene Is very likable as a guitarist, always🎸🎶🎶🎶🌿 💃♑💓🕺♋♾️
Frank Merouan the main difference between this guy and the other gypsy jazz players, he can play this stuff . One other exception but he’s not a gypsy is Antoine Boyer. Another monster guitarist.
@@williamlovelady7217 He came from the "gypsy school" of music, but has become just as skilled in fusion and bebop. Also capable of shredding like Vai, Malmsteen etc. And let's not forget his bass playing... Players like Stochelo,Jimmy, Joscho, Angelo etc do not have that versatility...
Effectivement....c'est pas si simple, et vous avez mes sincères remerciements d'avoir fait cette belle qualité de film car je sais bien que devant la scéne de Samois, c'est pas facile!!!! Encore merci....

Bireli is amongst the best in the world, and if you add his bass-playing skills, I guess he is the best.
wish he would play more bass, he's an absolute monster on it.
HES just at another level...so sweet
Bireli is the best jazz guitarist period!! I absolutely love this performance of this tune. Thank you for sharing!

My only true friend when It comes to Gypsy Jazz music.I love the man.

That's not gypsy music. That's straight jazz played by an artist who happens to by gypsy.

The Master Bireli! Awesome solo! Does anybody knows wich kind of pick he used? Dunlop Jazz lll?
Horst Lippitsch heavy Dunlop , I met him once and asked him, he said heavy Dunlop .
William Lovelady Dunlop purple 1.5mm? Does he use the tip or the round side?
He didn’t say, I’ve met him a couple of times and always seemed a bit distracted , so didn’t want to ask too many questions .
William Lovelady Many thanks for your answers!👍
Although you can get special jazz Dunlop’s that are 3 mil or 5 mil
Jolie prise de vues!!! merci.... Juste un peu dommage d'avoir zappé Hono
daniel aubry De rien.Vous savez Daniel avec une caméra et l'autorisation de filmer pour un seul morceau c'est pas simple...

le mec à la clarinette est bon aussi!
????
Pas clarinette mais saxophone soprano
Of course he is influenced by contemporary stuff but his Gipsy roots carry the weight! Rhythm first
Wrong title.
what's the name of the song?
Jaap Zweeris I don't know 😢
Jaap Zweeris
Billy Joel's "Just the way you are"
zuza cencora thanks
Alain Caron Thanks!
This (beautiful) song is: Just The Way Your Are. Billy Joel
Franck on bass, Diego on guitar, Biréli on sax -- that's the lineup for next year.
Bad camera angle😠
I agree but no choice.
Wrong title.
mellotron What is a good title ?
+Alain Caron je pense qu'il y a une faute à "you are"...quoi qu'il en soit je ne sais pas si le titre est le bon.
+Harry Smit The title is still wrong.
Just the way you are
