  • In this video, I share why most 3D websites don't get attention. I also explain the power of interactivity in real time graphics, with a demo that takes a basic Three.js sweater configurator and turns it into an epic web experience.
    ✷ You can play with the demo at spgi01b.xl.digital/

    This video is based in the talk that I gave at the Awwwards 2023 conference in Amsterdam.

    Great video! Is the model for the T-shirt free? I would love to try to reproduce the project in the video.

    Nice explanation, I agree that's why I started to learn shaders more in depth from other sources.

    *Hi Xavier your work is awesome!*
    My main source of income is creating 3D configurators and I was thinking for a while how most clients want to copy this or that but there is no real usage of the interactivity the 3D provides. So my plan was to make a demo of a configurator where I would push the interactivity to the max so I have something to pitch to my existing and future clients and then I saw your video!
    Mindblowing stuff! I especially loved the wiggle bones and the transition particle animations. Do you have any source or tutorial available on how to achieve those kind of results?

    Love your work! ❤, I was wondering if u could share with me exactly where you got all this advanced knowledge from. I have been learning three.js /react three fiber, blender, glsl shaders for a year now but I am no where near Ur level in these topics. I want to learn the advanced stuff to get me from the basics to creating immersive things like this and more.
    So if u could share with me the knowledge of where I can learn all this to get to Ur level that would be great ❤

      I don't really know any book or course that goes in detail about the process of crafting 3d websites.
      I recommend to get a job in a studio that does this type of work, and learn from others. Make sure it's not remote.
      Good luck!

    This is off topic I would be immensely grateful if you could kindly assist me in understanding the process of exporting a clothing simulation from Clo 3D to the glTF/glB format for use in Three.js.

    • @KMkota0
      @KMkota0  4 місяці тому

      I have never used Clo 3D, but I believe the best way is to bring the model to Blender first and export to gltf from there.
