The basement session for this is incredible and the best thing about it is that you don't have to chop it up at all as there are NO copyright issues IN ANY WAY. These songs are even better live, and it's amazing watching them pull off these intricate songs live with no pre-recorded BS whatsoever, they are all multi-instrumental wizards and wait until a lot of the sounds you think are keyboards are actually guitars with crazy pedal-effects it'll blow your mind. They are the type of band that doesn't believe in recording songs that they can't play live just as well or better. Thom sings most of these songs better live than he does in the studio and it helps having 5 members that can all play multiple instruments.
@@jameshannagan4256 Dude you’re so hyping me up rn!! I can’t WAIT to get to reacting to that 😤🙌🏽
A Moon Shaped Pool is another album that makes you feel like you’re listening to a totally different band. That album feels very transcendent and ethereal. One of their more underrated albums in my opinion. Can’t wait for more reaction videos! We love the effort and perspective you’re putting into each video.
@@liamdickinson8170 I cannot wait to hear that one! Especially since it’s there newest work out! I can’t only imagine the high I’m gonna be on 😭 but thank you for your comment, I really appreciate your words I really do… it’s nice to know my work it being noticed! Thank you again 💚🙌🏽
Now you’ve listened to the album, watch ‘In rainbows from the basement’. Pure perfection. Welcome to the gang!
Came here to say this! Even if you don’t do a reaction. Treat yo’self!
Yes!!! That’s a must watch/listen!! Incredible.
If you loved this then A Moon Shaped Pool is definitely going to be up your alley. When we're talking about the cinematic feeling of it all.
Amnesiac next!!! Lol and then Hail to the Thief.
They gave this record away and a lot of other artists were mad. It's beautiful
Reckoner is unreal. Makes you feel like you're floating down a river with beautiful mermaids singing to you. LOL
@@ixeyeb the imagedry!!! 😮💨
It's not the biggest club but I will say it's pretty exclusive and new members are always welcome. Every one of their projects is like it's own little pocket universe and a totally different vibe from the previous one.
Videotape is sad AF. What can you say about these guys... musical geniuses. Glad you got into them man. Will be a life long listener I'm sure!
Videotape is actually not written about anything sad. Thom yorke has said before the song actually has a happy meaning, and just sounds sad. It is definitely still bitter sweet
Yes m8! Knew you'd love it. Disk 2 & 'from the basement' session next, please!!!
Up on the ladder is great
As far as drums, Philip Selway one of the best to ever do it in rock music. No doubt whatsoever.
I believe you mentioned in a previous reaction that you were a "Drum Nerd". If you haven't listened to any of The Smashing Pumpkins discography, I'd highly recommend. They have been my favorite rock band since childhood, and Jimmy Chamberlain is one of the greatest drummers of the 90's. He's a complete beast on the drums, and he's incredibly humble, and one of the most chill humans I've ever met. I'd recommend Siamese Dream, and Mellon Collie from The Pumpkins.
Jimmy is a very underrated drummer but one of my favorites for sure
@@GhostlyEcheveria as you mentioned that I seen a shirt recently with that name on it!! Must be a sign 👀 I will be adding that to the queue!! I love drums and I love new music! Can’t wait to get to it, thank you so much! 🟢
Love how you FEEL all the good bits even the first time. This music rewards many listens too… at least it does for me. Still unravelling its secrets.
Top tier Radiohead is some of the best experimental rock out there. May I recommend going back in time to The Beatles - Abbey Road. It was the last album they recorded and the production is insane even to this day. Just a fantastic 10/10 album that imho still doesn’t have a peer (at least in that genre).
pls pls pls react to the basement sessions for this! i love ur vids sm
Do A Moon Shaped Pool last. Big orchestral vibe. You're gonna love it, it's amazing!!
Faust sold his soul to Mephistopheles (the devil) for his youth to return to him
@@DefenestrateYourself hmmm.. so like a parable huh? 🤔 interesting!!
disk 2 of in rainbows is really good too! Its the b-sides but theyre still amazing, much more of an angry sound. Would love to see their album Hail To The Thief. Its a more political, aggressive sound, and you can definitely hear a mix of the bends, kid a, and ok computer in it. Its not very talked about or as highly rated since it wasnt a super groundbreaking sound, but I love Hail To The Thief dearly, its still really good. Has my favorite opener and closer to an album.
I see you have discovered the genius that is Jony Greenwood. He has been Grammy nominated for his work on films. To me, In Rainbows really shows the magic that is RH. Pablo Honey gave us a tiny foreshadowing of this. It is hard to believe they are the same band. On House of Cards the swinger's used to have key parties. The men threw all their keys in a bowl, and whatever set the woman pulled out of the bowl, that owner was her partner for the evening. I could talk about In Rainbows forever, so I will just shut up here.
I am pleased to see that someone answered this question. I was going to if not.
Great reaction!
I highly recommend listening to In Rainbows "Disk 2" wich has songs at the level of the main album or even better
You handled Videotape well haha that’s very heart breaking for me! 😅
heres a little suggestion from me: Theres one of their albums called "The King Of Limbs", is their most divisive record and said to be their worst album, its very experimental and my personal fav since it grew on me, i'd love to see your take on it! (also A Moon Shaped Pool and Hail To The Thief are simply amazing!)
@@victorventura9146 something special for you coming really soon, just wait 🤫
Thanks so much for this reactions! I’ll add my voice to the others: Please do Radiohead Live From The Bassement sessions please! 🙏
Just found you listening to one of the greatest albums, in my opinion. Such a wonderful thing to see you love it too.
hope you will listen to the pink floyd recommendations I see in comments. Also, Bjork's Homogenic for more amazing beats.
Rank those radiohead albums dude. Great reactions.
you HAVE to learn to jeff buckley. thom yorke got his vocal inspirations from him.
Jeff Buckley is arguably the greatest singer of all time. I would actually recommend reacting to some of his live stuff before listening to Grace.
I would highly recommend dark side of the moon pink floyd, or if you want some good new music, magdalena bay- imaginal disc, its reeeeeally good too, might be album of the year tbh
I love those minimixes
@@V3sp0 sadly, I have heard dark side but it was whileee ago. Who knows, make re-listen with a new and improved ear 👀
Since you love the orchestral songs please listen to these radiohead songs not on any albums. "Spectre" written for a James Bond movie. And my favorite "Harry Patch" written for the oldest living WW1 soldier who passed away at the age of 111
You should see the basement session of in Rainbows
@@ramsesDouma-ws6ch coming soon!
if u haven’t already, i definitely would recommend listening to some shoegaze classics. would love to see ur reaction from these albums.
souvlaki - slowdive
loveless - my bloody valentine
stratosphere - duster

Don’t skip disk 2!
you should listen to is this it album by the strokes
You should listen to Autolux’s album ‘Future Perfect’ Thom Yorke was a fan of them
Last thing, just to know, faust is pronounced "fowst" not fost.
@@joshuapocalypse thank you! I’m a known guy of butchering (we all know 🤣)
You should listen to Magdalena Bay!!🙌🏻
@@kobeybest2299 been hearing about this one!
Now react to Rage Against the Machine for something completely different but totally as necessary. :P
@@MrGrouch86 seen and heard of this name! I must do it! Noted 📝
