Not going to lie, I felt that Danny barely did anything in this routine. It felt like this freestyle was a way for Witney to live out a dream of being Barbie. She did look super cute though! But Witney’s choreography was a plus in helping them get to the finale this season
my guy its a freestyle. there are no rules. its just a dance to do whatever you’d like that way these contestants can end on a good note. either way, danny has been amazing this year and has actually grown a lot. not sure, maybe u should rewatch the show?

Such an entertaining performance ! Danny and Witney have been the highlight of this season for me. Danny’s progress, talent and confidence are truly inspiring. I loved watching these two from the very start. Witney’s choreography has always taken my breath away ! Such a talented woman. Despite all the scores and the result I just want to say I'm so proud of this team what a season danny was amazing , his journey from zero dance experience to become at this level is epic and this is because of witney she is great teacher and partner they have beautiful friendship I'm gonna miss them
i know danny hardly danced but this is what a freestyle should be, fun and entertaining and over the top, obviously there were some very pretty and very representative freestyles, but this maybe was my favorite
Whitney has always been one of my favorites for dancing and choreography...but this "dance" was very underwhelming and Danny was capable of WAY more. This "freestyle" did him no justice and had far more of Whitney dancing then Danny.

When I think of my favorite freestyle I think of Shangela (this is just a more recent example), they a had an extremely over the top and entertaining freestyle, she sung the song, we got funny references to earlier episodes (also love Ilona’s because of her “never been better carri ann”), and we got to see Gleb in drag. I want the freestyle to be people’s chance to give a super bowl halftime-esque performance. This is their chance to go all out. I loved Ilona’s because she deserved to show everything she’s about. She clearly was having so much fun and we got the fun lines at the beginning. I loved Chandlers because that freestyle was so important. But they also got to showcase her talent in some different styles. I loved stephen’s. Rylee did an amazing job choreographing and it was beautiful. But when I think of a freestyle I Picture OVER THE TOP. And I feel like the Barbie theme is that. I would have loved to see it more heavy on the dancing or done by another one of the finalists but we got what we got. I still loved it.
They were the most enjoyable couple this season the deserve so much this finale they gave us moments every week !!!there comteporary dance will be the best of this season.
As a performance, this freestyle was amazing. Totally embodied Barbie and Ken, the costume/hair/makeup team did an amazing job. As a dance, yeah it should've had more dancing but I'm not complaining, They BECAME Barbie and Ken and did the song justice.
I'm not really on board with this one. There should never be a dance solo featuring the pro and not the star, and I think they missed a real opportunity by not incorporating more jive. Danny's strengths are in his lifts, kicks, and flicks.

There was too much playing around with the set and not enough dancing for Danny in this freestyle. Even though Ken is delightful and a scene stealer in the movie, this theme didn’t show who Danny is.
I didn’t LOVE this because it’s supposed to showcase the star but Whitney was dancing for thirty seconds without Danny. I get that they’re just playing the part but that felt weird.
It’s pretty odd how Witney still manages to get praised for making the first 30 seconds of this routine about her, but when any other pro does it they get ripped apart
I felt like the powers that be told Whitney she had to do Barbie and her heart wasn't in it. Whitney is my absolute favorite and I loved her performances this year... somehow this one fell short... maybe like me she played outside as a kid and not with Barbie!
This was more about Witney wanting to be Barbie than Danny she makes a great Barbie 🤣 💗 he just went along with it then flirted with Julianne on the bed the off time dancing @1:55 shows why he still not best dancer he is so out of sync but it was fun to watch regardless just like all their dances

This freestyle is giving “let me hurry up and get this shit over with so I can go back to my kids” lmaooooo I think shes getting to the point of her life where she doesn’t really need this show to make a living anymore and only came back cause fans were begging her to. I feel like she struck a deal with producers to give her a decent partner that can take her far cause ain’t no way is she relocating her entire family to California only to go home within the first 2 weeks. She’s just not hungry for it anymore and that’s OK. She’s a successful influencer with brand deals and is growing her family. Ever since s27 with Milo, I feel like she’s lost that hunger to win and just comes back for the hell of it now.

I love Witney but Danny barely danced they just did this because he looks so much like Ryan Gosling but it didn't showcase him at all. They should started with I am Ken instead of with Barbie and made Danny do more actual dancing. Its fun to watch but Ryan Gosling's performance at the Oscars was way better

That throw and catch was absolutely amazing but what on earth was going on just after the catch getting Witney bk on the ground at 1min30secs because coming out of the catch he put Witney down so clunky and didnt seem to care about her at all like plonked her down looked so weird 😂
This dance wasnt even about Danny. Sometimes the pros forgets this show isnt about them. Joey won the season?! Yes, he did, but if you look back, most of those routines were so much more about Jenna than Joey. It was made for her to shine, not him. They need to be more careful about this.

Stephen danced the entire 2 minutes and 17 seconds of his freestyle. If you time Danny from where he starts dancing to when the finish their ending pose it is exactly 1 minute. Crazy the difference and he only scored 1 point less while doing half the work.
I was so excited when they came on!! All season, I've said that Danny looks like Ryan Gosling. And now to play Ken. Finally!! But Whitney's choreography, or lack of, wasn't impressive. And them jumping into a bed after with Juliana Huff was just weird.
I hate to say it but this routine was really disappointing. I thought for sure they would pack it with alot of amazing tricks as they have been doing. One lift at the end????!!! Witney's choreography is impressive but she really missed the mark on this dance. Those abs are definitely a 10! The dance....not so much.
I've had a lot of criticisms of Danny's dancing, and I think it's clear he was the last capable dancer who made the finale. However, he worked extremely hard, 100% committed to process, and put himself out of his comfort zone every week to try something new and make Witney proud. If all I knew of Danny's time on the show was this freestyle stripped of the context of the season, I would assume he treated the experience like a joke and didn't put in the effort. It makes me angry that this is what Danny's journey was reduced to. He deserved at least being the focus of his own freestyle.

When he did dance in other performance he didn’t get 10’s there either. I thought it a 10 worthy freestyle after all those weeks of really hard work and this came together nicely.

@ it’s a reality show dance competition. Chandler was probably the best dancer and the guys have it harder imo as a former ballroom dance competitor and Joey was the best out of the guys. It’s not life sustaining medicine and we all vote with whatever standards we judge as the audience. I didn’t have Ilona as the runner up and the judges set up Chandler with their scores so it’s to each his own when it comes to perspective. Yours is certainly valid as well.
Check their scores, they weren't even in the bottom for semi-finals. Danny Semendona may not be a dancer but he's been Alpha male stud leading man of the season.
I’m a little disappointed with this dance wise. Performance wise, it was great, but there wasn’t enough dancing in my opinion. It didn’t show Danny’s strengths. Something more like his contemporary or Disney night jazz or even his Viennese waltz would have showed his skills more. Overall really proud of him though! He came a long way.

They really robbed him and the audience of a great freestyle number. The representation of someone like him dancing to other men out there

It’s kind of lame? Feel like they could’ve blown us away especially after the Deadpool dance but this was just fine.

Yes exactly, this was the dance that was underwhelming! It was super boring....Danny was constantly boring with every dance he did! And he always looked lost with every dance he did he always had a lost look on his face!
On Sex, lies and spraytans with Cheryl Burke and Kristyn Burtt they talked abt it being a sponsored dance. But the show should have made it a pro number or just a cameo with him. They really robbed him and the audience of a great freestyle number. The representation of someone like him dancing to other men out there
