They were just goofing around in the spring day practice. But the serious version is one of my favorite dance practices of BTS. It tells a story and is really touching to watch.
This is the original dance break for MIC Drop. They're singing the original Korean version of MIC Drop so maybe that's why the lyrics sound different to you? Also I believe it's a live recording bc it ultimately will be live so they're practicing with a live recording instead of studio version.. honestly idk bc yes it's a different sound but it's with original lyrics. 'Just One Day practice (appeal ver)' is one of my favorites.
Edit: This Spring Day dance practice was from 2017 but it barely got released this year.

This beat is actually the original beat of the song, the other one you usually hear is the remix version. Also their voices in this dance practice is mixed with less autotune and fully in Korean ^^

I have to say It's insane How Jhope literally slays every single dance practices so effortlessly with his 100% all in EVERY TIME .. Full of skills and talents .. I still remember the very first time I watched their dance practices (watched 4 or 5 in a row) and truly I was floored bcuz of him ! The main dancer, Dance leader and ones of top3 best dancers of current kpop for reasons !!

My favorite dance practices are No More Dream, Boy In Luv, Dope, I Need U, Fire, Baepsae and all of thier intro dances.
I literally like all of thier dance practice.

Dance style of Mic Drop and Spring Day are very different but still both so nice and lit~~🔥🔥🔥
We think that this is what they sent to MAMA, so they could check how would it be the song performed. They check the camera's angles, the mics, etc.
The lyrics are from the original song from LY: Her (It has more korean and less english parts). Also, they sound different because this version have the raw vocals. And the dance break is longer 👌. This is all for the great performance they did in 2017 at MAMA.
Finally, the Spring Day DP is just a silly version, there is a serious one. Those DP silly version are so funny, you should watch the ones for Baepsae or War of Hormone.

omg for dance practices, if you want more silly fun ones, definitely Baepsae, War of Hormone Real War Version, GoGo halloween version and 21st Century girls halloween version (for the Baepsae & GO Go ones, you have to watch the ones from the bangtantv channel because they play rock paper scissors in the beginning to decide who has to do a certain little something extra in the video haha)
for really cool, like UH UH in your face type of dance, you gotta do the old dance practices. there are even some armys who haven't seen them or don't remember them but they're so good

when the last part of spring day when Tae and Jungkook hug it supposed to be Jin and Jimin but they change it
This is the original mic drop (with korean lyrics), while the mv is the remix version feat steve aoki (with several lyrics being translated to english). The music arrangement is different, like in the remix, the background music for the beginning part doesn’t sound like this one. For me personally, I prefer the original version because it sounds more authentic, but I also enjoy the remix. They perform these three dance break during their MAMA performance, after that, if they added dance break to their performance, it usually only during the ending part. So.. many thanks to bangtan tv for giving us dance practice for their MAMA performance.
In the mic drop dance practice they used the original mic drop that has a slightly different beat and more korean lyrics! They used this version and added dance breaks because they performed it at MAMA ( korean award show).

this is I think the 10th Mic drop reaction vid I watched and I never get tired of it. whenever I watched this particular Mic drop dance practice, I got my eyes over taehyung's bouncing hair.. I love the way his hair bounce whenever he moves..

This is the originial of Mic Drop. They perform this song for LY : Her comeback (together with DNA) promotion in Korea, and the original has no dance break. This dance break version was performed for MAMA 2017, but they used Steve Aoki version instead.
Now watch the actual dance practise of spring day and feel the vibe change. Mic drop is brought out first in korean, then the steve aoki remix mostly english, then the japanese version. In concerts they mostly bring the extended korean version from the song. No lyric change only language change.
the mic drop that they used was the original version (Kor ver). You'll find it in the LY: HER album. The MV is the remix version where they sang the chorus and RM's part in English. This dance practice was performed on MAMA 2017. The spring day dance practice is the lovely ver. there is a real dance practice of spring day.
This mic drop was the ORIGINAL. it’s the one that was on their album, but the music video is the mic drop REMIX with Steve Aoki, which has english lyrics. They also added the dance breaks after each chorus.
There is a spring day dance practice where they act more serious and actually do the correct choreo, but in the lovely version it’s just them acting silly and not taking it too seriously 😂
this is the original version is Korean that’s on their love yourself her EP, the version you’re used to hearing is the English version with Steve aokis remix on the instrumental. This is also the practice for their MAMA performance which is why there’s multiple dance breaks.
also the spring day practice you watched is from 2017 but just released now, which is why they look a little younger, They released it as part of their festa celebrations so this one is supposed to be comical and funny as it’s titled the ‘lovely version’

Hi familia, they performed this Mic Drop ver at MAMA 2017 and usually at any award shows they always do special performances.
Okay so the reason this is different is because it’s the Korean version. They have 3 versions of mic drop, original in Korean, remix version with a lot of English and a Japanese version. The reason you never saw those 3 dance breaks was because it was practice for an award show where they preformed it. Now for spring day this was a lovely (crackhead) version 😂. There’s a serious version and they’ve preformed that one too on a award show it’s crazy beautiful with so much emotion.
They wear name tags so that it’s easier for the live stage performance crew to plan the camera angles, orders, and movements ahead. That’s why in south korean music show live performances their camera works are no joke. They always know when to switch to camera what, and catch every important moments, because they’re all planned. Those name tags will help crews to know who’s singing what at the time and who’s next. No matter how famous and popular BTS is, they’ll still need to make this kind of dance practice with name tags on them everytime they promote new songs.

They may have been giving or showing this to MAMA for camera work so they wear those signs with their names so the cameras know placement. This version of Mic Drop is a raw version of the song, you can tell by the vocals especially RM's verse. Those are the Korean lyrics that appear on the album, Aoki's is the "English" version, remember that is a REMIX. They haven't changed anyone, it's just you're listening to unprocessed vocals. This is for MAMA. MAMA performance had several dance breaks in it, that's what this practice is for the 2017 MAMA awards.

It's their name tags in Korean. Usually Koreans TV show always want the video of the choreography before the show hold. So they can prepare the stage and camera movement.

The Mic Drop Dance Practice video was probably made to be sent to MAMA stage directors before the actual performance, so that's why they would have name tags. Also, that's why they kinda have the rough version of the song with their voices sounding somewhat isolated. This is prob why it sounds so different to you, it's also the korean version which idk if you guys have heard before.

1. My current fave is this Mic Drop with the 3 dance breaks. Also it's the Korean version. They didn't change who sang which part, just the overall tone changed since it's a different version.
2. This is the Lovely Version of Spring Day, not sure if you guys know but there is a more serious version of this dance practice. They have some other crack dance practices like the Halloween versions or when they're just having fun like in Baepsae.
this is the original version of MIC Drop (Korean version). in the MV, it was Steve Aoki's remix version where the vocal line and RM's parts are all in english that's why it sounded way different to you. also, this was a practice fir their 2017 MAMA performance. i love all of BTS dance practices but Danger is the first one i've watched so i think that'll be my favorite if i'll have one coz that's when i realized how amazingly synchronized and perfect their performance are and i'm still amaze whenever i watch it (watched it like 100x more or less). they have a serious dance practice for Spring Day, this is just them being extra! BTS is the best! there's nothing like BTS!

Okay so in this Mic Drop MAMA Hong Kong version, they use their original Mic Drop from LY Her album (less English, more Korean), but since they want to include the dance break they put a little bit of Steve Aoki's remix in it. So it's basically a mixture of the original Mic Drop and Steve Aoki's remix!
The Steve Aoki remix that you listen to is mostly lines in English with some Korean and all the rap apart from RM's is Korean. In this version, they used Aoki's beat and used the original Korean lyrics from the first release of Mic Drop, so there's 0 English. They also had 3 dance breaks instead of 1. This is the version of the song they performed during the award season in 2017!

What i know is that they have 3 different versions for mic drop. The remix version (english), the original version (korean), and japanese version (they have mv for this too and it's quite different). this is the full version of the mic drop steve aoki remix but with the original korean lyrics. they performed it at 2017 mama and this is probably the practice video they sent to their production team, that why they have the name tags on.
another thing that makes it sound different is that this is a much rawer version of the song and they put it over the video (when in most dance practice videos the audio usually comes from the original recording space, so we can hear footsteps and breathing)

They performed the mic drop remix at mama (eng ver.) so you can see them mouthing the English lyrics in this video but bighit put the original mic drop from the album (original Korean ver.) over the video that’s why it doesn’t match
And for spring day this was “ the lovely version” it’s just them having fun and being cute during practice it’s a gift for the fans.. there’s an actual serious dance practice video on their channel
