The dance practice was a version they did for an awarding show. that's why it has a lot of break dances. It's one of bts's fave performance because they performed that after coming back to kore after winning an award at BBMAs
The song in the DP is the original song which was released in September 2017 in their album Love Yourself: Her with DNA. But the DP has a remix of dance breaks since this is a practice for a performance in an end year award show which is MAMA in 2017 ( maybe you guys should check it out, its was so fcking cool like the full performance ugh, but the song they used in the live performance was the remixed version with Steve Aoki ), yea so its not for Festa. This DP was released in Festa 2019 because in Festa, there are times where they would upload unreleased videos, or dance practices to be specific ( just like this year's Festa, you'll see old DPs released ), as a gift for the fans before their anniversary, ( obviously June is BTS' month ). The one with the MV is the remix one with the DJ Steve Aoki which had a bit changes in the lyrics with English from Korean ( mostly in RM's part and chorus ) which was released in November 2017. There is also another version featuring Desiigner. Welp, hope that helps : ] oh also 'RM' is the only one in English since 'RM' technically can be spelled in Korean obviously but its easier for it to be English like yeah idk
So they first released MicDrop in the Love Yourself Her album and it was in Korean completely (or at least most of it) and then they re-released it with a collaboration with Steve Aoki. This latter version, they re recorded and the whole pre-chorus and chorus and most (if not all?) of Joon's part are in English which is the one that has a music video. And then there is another version with Desiigner which is a bit different cause he has the whole first verse (which is shared by Hobi and Yonngi). Also the one used in the dance practice is the version they used at an award show (they usually remix the songs when performing them at concerts or award shows). So the performance of this was not for FESTA, it was for an award show, it is tagged with 2019FESTA cause this particular dance practice was released in celebration for the FESTA
Cant believe its already their 10 anniversary soon... Can't wait for 'take two' .. Pls tell me i am not the only one bring emotional while watching them dance together and bangtan tv dropping all their dance practices 😢😢💜
Sometimes all the cameras are to focus on each dancer. So then they have an account of their specific performance in the whole dance. For example. This focus was on V during a Live Mic Drop. They can go back and watch their individual performance to make corrections for the next performance. Another reason why they are so good. They are constantly monitoring themselves and correcting any mistakes they see. V focus. B e l o w.
I really appreciate the reactions and the genuine interest guys! BTS it really is a light in the world and i’m so happy that you are able to be part of that too! Looking forward to send you some stuff soon! 💜🥰

This song and the dance break at the end (SNL version) is what pulled me into BTS. I could watch this dance practice that they used for the 2017 MAMA show in Hong Kong all day. No idea how they survived it, but so glad they did. Thanks for showing the behind the scenes, too!
Actually if you see the concert version or the mama performance..you'll see that V killin it with his smooth movement and energetic dancing He held the most viewed fancam for mic drop with 31 million views for a reason.. He just observed the beat of the song with his body and his face All his mic drop performance different with alot of spice..really legend dancer
Ohhh I'm fast! Coz I love this song. This was the 5th song I saw that made me stan BTS 😊 1. Dynamite 2.Butter 3. PTD 4. No more Dream 5. MCDROP! Boom! Then I thought I'm here to stay 😅 P.s. Mic Drop in the Busan concert is iconic too..Daniel will for sure love the live band 😆
And u guys this was for their mama 2017 performance but was aploaded in 2019 for their festa, they usually drop earlier and never seen before content for their anniversary like this year: anpanman, I'm fine and Boyz with fun
To help you understand the whole process of preparing a song from what BTS explained to us until now: first they prepare the melody themselves or/and with producers. If they have the melody each member is free to prepare a demo for the song with lyrics (They let us listen to some of the demo versions of their songs and sometimes they're really different from the original song but didn't get choosen so either they make us listen to it for fun during a live or they release them inside an album or for free for an event). Usually each member work on demos and lyrics alone after having meetings with all 7 + producers to decide on the theme of the song+album) and then only the best lyrics/demos are chosen by members, Bang PD and other producers (sometimes they take more then one and mix them together. Rap line often write their own rap verses. After that they start recording and deciding on the line distribution of the song (who sing what etc). Sometimes they have the choreo even before the lyrics are decided, but most of the times they learn the dance mooves when the recording is done. This is one of the reason why sometimes the recorded and the live version can have different line distribution (for example DOPE, where Jimin and Jungkookexchanged parts during for the live ver., or Spring Day where Jin don't sing a verse where you can hear his voice in the recording). They never explained this part of the process from what I know, but we can assume that they decide to trade lines if the choreo go against their ability to sing live while dancing that particular moove or if they need to consider other logistic factors for the live version (for example camera work for live vers and stuff like that). I guess they adapt the live performance with the choreographer considering what is the best for live boardcast, but those changes are REALLY REALLY rare, most of the time they do all they can to deliver the song the same way they recorded it, practicing hard not to change the choreo or the line distribution. Sometimes they need to give up to some adlibs that you can hear in the background of the recording version, expecially if the choreo is too demanding for live versions, but they try to add some adlibs too when they can (JK is usually the one who contributs the most in those during lives perf, because they said he has the most stable voice while dancing, but you can hear all members do the same for some songs so they always give their best). For live performances (especially if they are for award cerimonies) they create different choreos, the mic drop dance practice you saw in this video is an example of that because they added 3 DANCE BREAKS and they're performing with the Korean version of the song since the award show was in Asia (the song in the MV was a remix done by Steve Aoki and they changed the lyrics in english. In the behind the scene you can hear another version too, the one with the rapper Designer where he added a rap verse to the song and it was the version radio station played the most, because of course they play BTS if an American artist is fearuring in their song lol except for dynamite and Butter bts song is rarely plaied in US radio stations now becayse Bang PD openly refuse to pay PAYOLA since it's an illegan practice, and that's one of the reason why BTS have to relay on streams numbers more then other artists and why ARMY do their best to stream even if youtube delate views and bilboard change rules whenever BTS or a member release somethin. For example it happened with Jimin, when they changed charting rules at the last minutes and even delated most of the albums sales for Jimin solo album so that he won't get first place for the second week too. Sorry, don't know how I ended up talking about music industry corruption lol but yeah, sorry for my english and I hope it can be usefull to better understand their process. N.B: this process can vary depending on the song, the album, the era, and for sure is very different for solo albums, where each member have even more freedom to do things how they want, as you can see in SUGA and Hobi documentary.
BTS has the best body rolls, Jimin is fluid like water when dancing, JHope is so flexable, JK is a powerhouse when dancing. RM, JIN & SUGA are diffinitely dancers now.
The version you can hear in this dance practice is a remix of the original verison of Mic Drop (the original is 90% in korean, was released in "Love Yourself: Her" album). Mic Drop has a lot of versions: the original, the japanese, the one with Desiinger and Aoki, the one with Aoki only (the one you hear in the MV, was released a few weeks after the album and has more eng in it), the extended version in "Love Yourself: Answer" album and this remix for MAMA. (And I'm probably forgeting some😅) And they most likely recorded this dance practice in 2017 too but it was only released for FESTA a few years later (BigHit has more BTS unreleased content than money in their safe... it will be 2050 and they will still be releasing content from 2023😂😂)
Love watching behind the scenes and dance practices. Mic drop dance practice is one of the best. I love that routine , that’s for one of their live performance so we don’t get to see it often.
Just to give some context… while the dance practice was released as a gift as part of FESTA in 2019… it’s actually filmed in 2017 and from their 2017 MAMA performance (year end award show). It’s the original Korean version of the song with a dance break added specifically. They film tailored dance practices before every big award show but they don’t always release them as part of behind the scenes… sometimes years later through festa. Also just to add to the fun they have hundreds of dance practices… a lot of their b-sides also have dance practices. Thanks for this fun reaction. You guys are lovely. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
That’s the original version of mic drop in the dance practice! The MV has the remixed more English version with Steve Aoiki. You also watched the mama performance with the dance breaks which has more choreography than the original version hehe. You’ll also notice they are being a bit more casual since this was a present dropped at festa and wasn’t a “official dance practice” like others are
Even if the dance practice is uploaded during festa, it wasnt recorded during that yr. Most of the time the dance practices uploades during festa were old, they have this vault of videos uploaded when the time is right. They usually have a 12-24months pre recorded videos until they release them officially.
Mic Drop tem versões diferentes dependendo do álbum - uma delas tem uns 6min. Essa versão do MV tem mais letras em inglês porque os meninos fizeram questão dos haters internacionais poderem entender a letra com mais facilidade 😂💜
just a bit of info, the version of the song in the dance practice is the original korean song (minus the added music in the dance breaks) and the song in the mv is the steve aoki remix with english lyrics and the full remixed song is actually the one that have the music breaks that were in the dance practice.. also this dance practice was filmed in 2017 when the song was released and that was for their performance at mama 2017 but they released the dance practice for festa 2019
So… there are actually 4 lyrical versions of Mic Drop. The MV was the Steve aioki remix. The dance practice was the original Korean version. The song playing in the background of the shooting sketch was the Desiigner remix. There’s also a Japanese version. The dance practice incorporated the extended dance break which they can place in any of the 4 lyrical versions.
Just something to note guys, dance practices from FESTA are usually old footage they haven’t release before. This particular dance practice was for their MAMA awards or MMA awards performance in 2017 although it says 2019 the dance practice was from 2017
If you focus on their choreography it's made well to show the meaning of the song. The moves they do show what the song is about. Also guys the original version is Korean. The Steve aoki one is the remix. There's also one with designer a rapper which was the version they send to radio in America.
These are more of a dance record than a dance practice. They film every choreo they have so that they can go back and reference it later to relearn it for a concert or whatever. They haven't released all of their dance records to us yet, and we often get several old ones released during Festa. For title tracks, they'll release the dance records around the time the song is released.
Guys, a lot of their songs have dance breaks, that's why the mv dance sequences and the dance practices for some shows might look different. For eg: - No More Dream, Butter , Dynamite, Mic Drop etc. have dance breaks in between the songs specially curated for the stage performances. SUMMER SAID IT - WE HAVE A LOT OF THINGS TO WATCH, hahaha...
The music during the MV behind the scenes is the Steve Aoki version with Rapper Desiigner in it, which is the English version RM mentioned. There's also an extended version of this remix. The Aoki version (Remix) minus Desiigner is the one used for the actual MV. The song in the Dance Practice uses the original Korean version that is not remixed, but the music for the dance breaks with the dance crew uses specifically the extended version by Steve Aoki. The practice was uploaded on Festa 2019 as a gift, but it was recorded almost 2 years prior for a music show in Korea. They wear their names for the production/filming people so they know who to film and when, they are in Korean because that's how the guys usually write them for better pronunciation, RM was always in English. We are used to seeing the English/romanized names. Reading V's name in Hangul is basically "P'ui", that one tripped me when I was learning 😂
Thats why Hobi is the King of Body Waves and Rolls, etc... Hobi is boneless is what many say. Honestly what else is there to say... that's our Dance Leader, such a Beast as always!! But they all kill this choreo💜💜💜
Fyi Mic Drop has 4 versions, the original in Korean, the remix in English with Steve Aoki, there's also with Desiigner and another one is in Japanese. Also this dance practice is for their MAMA performance that's why it has dance breaks which is not in the music video and the original song itself.
So back in the days, they had name tags on them bc they weren’t well known yet to staff and others to identify them. Now, everyone knows their names. It shows how much they’ve grown like STARTED FROM THE BOTTOM NOW WE HERE 😂💯🙌🏽
They do this song live on Saturday Night Live, if you're interested in watching that. It's a very small stage, but they do the dance break and it's awesome!
I hope you'll get to watch more Dance Practices. And i can't wait for the time you get to see the 2020 MAMA "ON" Dance Practice and the actual performance of the whole MAMA 2020! 🥰🥰💜
For a title track, the mv will come out first usually not showing the entire choreography, and then they will do live performances. However, Mic Drop is not a title track. So we got a live performance first with the original track (which you heard a bit of in this reaction) but then they came out with the Steve Aoki remix with Desiigner. That song is different because Jhope and Yoongi's parts are shorter to accommodate Desiigner's rap part. Then the music video came out in Japan, which is what you saw. That has just Steve Aoki's production changes but not Desiigner. Then at the end of the year at MAMA, they performed an extended version of the Steve Aoki mix with three dance breaks. The dance practice you watched was for that, but I don't think they practiced to final version of the extended mix. So what you heard was the original Mic Drop during the parts where they sing and rap spliced with the Steve Aoki extended mix parts during the dance breaks. So in total there are 3-4 versions of Mic Drop. That's how they were able to play one song during the mv sketch. Lol, hope that made sense. You can see on Spotify there are different versions of Mic Drop, but the extended mix by Steve Aoki is not there because as usual Bighit doesn't release their special performance mixes. Maybe one day.
Guys, the dance practice was released for festa 2019 but it wasn't recorded in 2019. In Festa we always get content unreleased (that may be from years ago or the current year) which is really cool
I really like when J-Hope is at the beginning of a song like with Mic Drop and Anpanman. And I also like the dynamic of songs like Idol and Spring Day that starts with the RAP line.
The version of Mic Drop that was used in the dance practice is actually the original version that was written in Korean. The official music video uses the "Steve Aoki Remix". BTS doesn't perform the "Steve Aoki Remix" anymore because the tempo is so fast that it's hard for them to sing and dance at the same time to it. They, however, do use parts of it to add the dance breaks in the choreography. The original version is slower and easier for them to perform.
Can I just say Im so proud of Abi how she basically got all the members right in one go?!! 🥹😆 Also, yeeess tae really has these dances that seems like its made for him!

Yes Tae is always one of the best dancer he doesn't dance he perform he always give little details for his moves that's why his fancams always get so many views 🔥🔥
Also Halsey and suga doing the anthem for the Diablo 4 game was very good
I really like it that all of you are really focused on all BTS members during the dance practice 😊 I hope you will react to all dance practices even to the ones that you already seen the MVS 😊
Jhope was so smooth and jungkook was so energetic
U are not only BTS reactor but ARMY also.. It shows how genuine u are. Not every BTS reactor is ARMY. But i appreciate your work to know about BTS in detail. It is ARMY behaviour. 💜💜
The dance practice was a version they did for an awarding show. that's why it has a lot of break dances. It's one of bts's fave performance because they performed that after coming back to kore after winning an award at BBMAs
Kim taehyung 💜💜🔥🔥🔥
JEON JUNGKOOK 🔥🔥
The best 😻🔥👑
MY GOD THE DANCE PRACTICE 🛐🛐🛐
Kim Taehyung 💜💜💜💜
Guys I’m so impressed and proud of you all! You can even recognise each of them just by their backs?!! You’ve come a long way 😁💜
So they first released MicDrop in the Love Yourself Her album and it was in Korean completely (or at least most of it) and then they re-released it with a collaboration with Steve Aoki.
"Suga is kinda small."
Yes. Yes, he is.
You need to see photos of him standing near RM or V. He is ✨s m o l✨
V focus. B e l o w.

Can’t take my eyes off of Jungkook. What a complete performer👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I can't stop looking at Jimin 🔥
Me tooo!!!! Just looking so hot even if his face is almost covered in some parts because of his hat 💜💜💜
This song and the dance break at the end (SNL version) is what pulled me into BTS. I could watch this dance practice that they used for the 2017 MAMA show in Hong Kong all day. No idea how they survived it, but so glad they did. Thanks for showing the behind the scenes, too!
Yayyyy thank you primos! This one of my tops songs🔮💜🔮💜🔮💜💜Happy Festa!!!!!
Who gonna tell em that Yoongi was practicing with and dropped a TV remote 😂😂
Actually if you see the concert version or the mama performance..you'll see that V killin it with his smooth movement and energetic dancing
He held the most viewed fancam for mic drop with 31 million views for a reason..
He just observed the beat of the song with his body and his face
All his mic drop performance different with alot of spice..really legend dancer
Guys remember that Take Two comes out June 9th!!! Let's support the guys as much as we can! :)
Ohhh I'm fast! Coz I love this song. This was the 5th song I saw that made me stan BTS 😊 1. Dynamite 2.Butter 3. PTD
4. No more Dream 5. MCDROP! Boom! Then I thought I'm here to stay 😅
P.s. Mic Drop in the Busan concert is iconic too..Daniel will for sure love the live band 😆
More, more and more BTS everyday🙏🏻🥲😬🥰💪🏻
And u guys this was for their mama 2017 performance but was aploaded in 2019 for their festa, they usually drop earlier and never seen before content for their anniversary like this year: anpanman, I'm fine and Boyz with fun
I was just looking at taehyung😮 🔥
Ya'll got it right. Ya'll identified them correctly. You win Ice Cream! This mix is for their Live Performances.
Thanks for the Dance Practice!!!
(And I'm probably forgeting some😅)
And they most likely recorded this dance practice in 2017 too but it was only released for FESTA a few years later (BigHit has more BTS unreleased content than money in their safe... it will be 2050 and they will still be releasing content from 2023😂😂)
Love watching behind the scenes and dance practices. Mic drop dance practice is one of the best. I love that routine , that’s for one of their live performance so we don’t get to see it often.
Thats so great that you try to watch the damce practices too🙂💜
Wow I love BTS FOREVER 😩🔥💜
Just to give some context… while the dance practice was released as a gift as part of FESTA in 2019… it’s actually filmed in 2017 and from their 2017 MAMA performance (year end award show). It’s the original Korean version of the song with a dance break added specifically. They film tailored dance practices before every big award show but they don’t always release them as part of behind the scenes… sometimes years later through festa. Also just to add to the fun they have hundreds of dance practices… a lot of their b-sides also have dance practices. Thanks for this fun reaction. You guys are lovely. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
So glad you said this! I was going to say the same. 😅
That’s the original version of mic drop in the dance practice! The MV has the remixed more English version with Steve Aoiki. You also watched the mama performance with the dance breaks which has more choreography than the original version hehe. You’ll also notice they are being a bit more casual since this was a present dropped at festa and wasn’t a “official dance practice” like others are
I love to see their lived performances
Even if the dance practice is uploaded during festa, it wasnt recorded during that yr. Most of the time the dance practices uploades during festa were old, they have this vault of videos uploaded when the time is right. They usually have a 12-24months pre recorded videos until they release them officially.
Podrían reaccionar a ella😊
This was fun!! 🥰 I love when y’all watch the making of the MVs and dance practices!!
just a bit of info, the version of the song in the dance practice is the original korean song (minus the added music in the dance breaks) and the song in the mv is the steve aoki remix with english lyrics and the full remixed song is actually the one that have the music breaks that were in the dance practice.. also this dance practice was filmed in 2017 when the song was released and that was for their performance at mama 2017 but they released the dance practice for festa 2019
This particular dance practice was for their MAMA awards or MMA awards performance in 2017 although it says 2019 the dance practice was from 2017
Mic Drop is in my top 5 favorite songs and top 5 favorite dance breaks! 🤩 and the first bts choreo I ever learned. lol feeling nostalgic ☺️
If you focus on their choreography it's made well to show the meaning of the song. The moves they do show what the song is about.
Also guys the original version is Korean. The Steve aoki one is the remix. There's also one with designer a rapper which was the version they send to radio in America.
for example? (the moves )
@@himaririku5289 Every choreography they do always show the meaning of the song. It's beautiful. It's very easy to see in this choreo.
But they all kill this choreo💜💜💜
boracity reminded me of alot of good things.
Park Jimin 🔥🔥🔥
Fyi Mic Drop has 4 versions, the original in Korean, the remix in English with Steve Aoki, there's also with Desiigner and another one is in Japanese. Also this dance practice is for their MAMA performance that's why it has dance breaks which is not in the music video and the original song itself.
The dance break remains one of the best things to happen in 2017
So back in the days, they had name tags on them bc they weren’t well known yet to staff and others to identify them.
I'm so glad you guys are finally doing the behind/making & dance practices
You guys have grown so much! Recognizing members from their korean tags. I feel like a proud mother😌
Omg omg omg😭😭 MIC drop behind the scenes ahhhh I'm screaming 😁💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Guys, the dance practice was released for festa 2019 but it wasn't recorded in 2019.
In Festa we always get content unreleased (that may be from years ago or the current year) which is really cool
Jungkook❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥
This song made me interested in BTS. especially namjoon's part, it was really good😎❤️
Me too❤
Can I just say Im so proud of Abi how she basically got all the members right in one go?!! 🥹😆
Also, yeeess tae really has these dances that seems like its made for him!
For me, my eyes can't keep off of JK in dance practices. He's so energetic and his movements are very satisfying to watch 😭
What a wonderful reaction. The MV (which you had already seen before) and now the backstage footage and the dance practice... what a wonderful combo😍💜🇧🇷
