Well done Butterfield. A hefty donation and a big turnaround after Established Titles. Which as I said in my long drawn out (as usual) comment, I didn't wrong you for allowing them as one of your sponsors, at all whatsoever. I like the fact that you took something that was seen as negative across the board on UA-cam, acknowledged it, spoke on it, than you and your lovely wife turned around and invested your personal money into a charity that is close to your hearts. Also your personal beliefs, as well as contributing to your country and community, which is how it should be. That is a respectable move, a tree well planted and a pup well saved. 😉 I applaud you both. 🤘👏👏👏👏

I have a disability and I’m also thin. I post photos on instagram and used to use the hashtag bodypositivity quite a lot until I got told by some fat women that the movement is for them, not for me, because I’m thin. I got literally kicked out of a movement I thought was for people with bodily things they can’t change, by people who have chosen to eat themselves humongous. I got over it and now use the hashtag again, mostly out of spite.

Its like back a few years there was this women's gym place we could go to work out but I was told at the time I was too skinny to join bc it was for overweight women. Like I'm 5'2" and 180 after having child #3 and I need to drop 50 pounds but I'm not overweight enough for the women's gym? Ok. So I bought equipment, changed all my food habits, worked out at home and got to my goal.

Eating a lot of whole foods and healthy fats. It goes right over my head why these people want to be 300+ kilos. But I'm just saying, they can be as heavy as they want to, it's not my body.

My advice is changing the unhealthy fats, such as animal fats and refined sunflower oil. Into more healthy fats like olive oil. It is more expensive though. You could also do some research and find a good source of unrefined cooking sunflower oil(preferably from glass bottles). Himalayan sea salt is a good replacment for kitchen salt, as kitchen salt is known to cause high blood preasure and other health problems. Brown sugar is somewhat healthier and more natural than white sugar, also less adictive.

I'd like to offer the method I'm currently using if you're interested in relatively fast and safe weight loss techniques:
Interval fasting. That is: eat nothing and drink only water and black coffee or tea for at least 24 hours or more. I personally do 48 hours fasts, twice a week, and I got rid of around 40 ibs in 4 months, give or take.
Of course it helps to combine it with sports, as movement activated ketosis and reduces hunger. If you're just going to sit all day, then fasting 48 hours will be hard.
Anyway the premise here is that it resets your insulin resistance and basic metabolic rate. It is supposedly much better than dieting and caloric restrictions, as those cause a yo-yo effect ultimately and a slowing down of metabolism, which might be why you got stuck after a while.
For me I needed something effective after putting on weight during the COVID period, combined with university and job stress. And it pretty much did the job for me. I plan on doing it for another month at most and then stop as I don't have much more fat to lose now.
If you're interested in the science details, watch this video, it's what inspired me last year to finally get my act together again:
      ua-cam.com/video/obpI0rHoNPY/v-deo.htmlsi=p1CbCPAddbGDdS4p
This doctor has wonderful health related videos in general, I highly recommend his channel. You just need to endure long, detailed videos xD
Good luck! Never give up on your health!
If you need any more info/tips, feel free to reply here and I'll do my best to answer based on my own experience.
      Cheers!

@@davidgruzin8269Contrary to popular belief, fats don't cause one to be fat. Carbs and sugars do.
Yes healthier fats are better for you, and I personally love olive oil (p.s. make sure you don't reach the smoking point of olive oil or it becomes very very unhealthy).
The reason why any of us get fat is insulin resistance that builds with time, depending on life style. Foods that causes most insulin spikes are carbs and sugars. So avoiding/reducing those would be a great start for weight loss.
Also from my research on the matter these past months, if you substitute carbs in your diet with fats and protein then not only do you get lower insulin spikes, but also feel more satiated. Besides, most of us don't get enough protein from a typical western diet, and that's the building block of cells.
I am sorry by the way. I am not trying to come off as a smartass by correcting/adding to your statement. I just spent a lot of time researching this topic in the last few months and testing different techniques out. So I'm just trying to maybe help others if I can.

I was obese and recognized and accepted it and made a change by doing 2 simple steps, less food intake and calisthenics and 6 months later my body transformed into a strong and leaner body, I can actually see a bit of ab growth now so it is very possible to make a change and get a healthier body, just do the work and remove laziness out of your life and good things can happen.

I have never been huge by any means (my max weight was about 155), but when I realized that I was gaining weight I made lifestyle changes and lost about 35 lbs. This was around 2016. I lost friends who are in the fat acceptance and body positivity movement because, per them, I was fat shaming them for losing weight, cutting out alcohol, and establishing an exercise routine. All I did was work on myself and never once imposed my new lifestyle on them. I now resent this movement and whole heartedly believe it only exists because people are miserable with themselves and don't want others to better themselves.

My gramma who raised me was obese and then morbidly obese. When I was 14 she had had BOTH knees replaced in HER 40s. After the knee replacements, she had gained so much weight that one of them completely popped out of place, and I watched her fall to the ground and didn’t know what to do because she could not get up. She ended up having to have that knee redone, and eventually became immobile and at 73, honestly, it was miraculous she made it to 73 at all, her heart couldn’t take it anymore because she had developed an arrhythmia early on into her obesity. I miss that woman every single day of my life. I tried to help her in her later years, but it was just too late to undo the damage that had been done. She was a wonderful woman. I loved her with every piece of me. She was my mother when my mother couldn’t be, her weight was a constant hindrance to her and who knows how different her life could have been or if she would still be here right now she gotten help early on.

Many years ago, I tried the whole online dating thing. 9 out of the 10 women I came across had pics on the website that did not depict what they really looked like. Sure they were pics of themselves, but they were pics of when they were either younger and/or skinnier. I came across this girl online, and after a couple weeks of us getting to know one another, we decided to meet each other in person. I made reservations at a restaurant where we would meet. I got there first and took a seat. She then popped up about 20 minutes later. When I saw her for the first time, I could NOT believe it! She was NOT the 115 pound girl she had me believing she was, she looked more to be at around 250 pounds! I thought to myself, "What The F#ck"! Not only did she weigh in at about 250 pounds, she ate more food during our date than I eat in a freaking week! We hardly talked because she was so busy shoveling food down her throat! I was so pissed off! At the end of our dinner, I asked her is we could split the bill. She got pissed off telling me that a real gentleman would pay the whole bill. I than told her, "yes, a real gentleman would pay the whole bill". I than told her that a real lady wouldn't lie to me and tell me she's something she's not. I reminded her that in my dating profile, all the information she saw was truthful and accurate. I than kindly asked her why she couldn't have done the same. I asked her why she lied to me. She didn't say anything. She just kept on shoveling food down her f#cking throat! When the waiter popped up, I told her that I was only going to pay for my order. Not hers. After I said that, the b!tch got up and walked out! I ended paying the whole bill. It was a GREAT lesson for me. After that, I pretty much stopped the whole online dating thing. The girl I went out on a date with was just looking for a free meal. I still get visions here and there of that fat a$$ cow eating most of her food without a fork! Apparently, the fork didn't shovel it in fast enough!

Gave me energy not crashes. I still allowed myself some “yummy” food every now and then, personally i think if you cut out all crap for a long period once you’re done it’s likely you’ll just want more of it so moderation with the “junk”. I lost 17kg without any real hard work just walking 20-30 minutes a day. I absolutely get how some people get stuck at that mental barrier when they’re dealing with some serious mental health issues though, so for those people working with a nutritionist and psychologist is important to give them the tools to break the barrier of their own thoughts / anxieties weighing them down.

There was neither causation nor correlation, and there are very likely reasons for the outcome of the study which could include things that don't have to do with body weight such as the patients' social safety nets. However, the studies that show negative consequences to obesity are far more common. The human body can work for a long time under negative conditions but it can't go on forever without breaking down at some level because of weight and related conditions.

🎉🎉🎉 yup. I'm a big bitch...but I don't claim I'm a healthy bitch. Can they not admit the quality of our lives is WAY worse. Not because people are mean to me..but because MY BODY HURTS

I have been half deaf for all my life due to me being born without an ear. I was raised that “body positivity” was about dealing with deformities. It was an issue for those who didn’t have a choice in that. I don’t want to be half deaf. I have no choice.

I have burn scarring and I always thought that using the “body positivity” tag was for people like myself who had previously struggled to accept parts of our body we cannot change (ie scars, missing limbs, birth defects, skin conditions, etc) but apparently not and I had several a**hole people online saying I was “appropriating their movement” because I posted a photo of myself with some of my scars visible and used the body positivity tag (because I’m not 500 pounds it wasn’t ok to use the tag I guess) 😂🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
Now I just no longer use social media or post photos because it’s not worth it to deal with all the twats on the internet

@@elenalizabeth lol yeah it’s like they are taking things from the people who started it! It was always for people like us who struggle with an uncontrollable issue with themselves that they may be insecure about. Don’t ever let those people who try and talk you down and hurt you bother you! They are empty people with nothing better to do with their lives. Live like a king❤️
