    Incredibly sad story incoming:
In college, I listened to Baby Hotline as a pick me up. I knew it was a sad song, but I liked it. It's a good song. I pause in the middle of my campus hallway to find several of my fellow students crying. I'm lost, confused. I stop to ask what's going on, and they ask me if I'd seen the email.
The day before, my Sociology teacher hadn't ever shown up. It was very unlike him, he was an incredibly organized man. I was worried, so I called the campus security about it and alerted the head of the department.
Well, that email, confirmed he'd passed away. He'd taken his life the day before, and the department had called his family, who also hadn't heard from him, so the campus called the police. That's when they found him.
I remember standing there in shock, holding onto my phone, Baby Hotline playing. The song had taken a new meaning in the moment. I just couldn't stop the tears. I couldn't even take my headphones off as I broke down in the middle of the hallway.
I miss you Kyle. We all miss you. You changed our lives in wonderful ways. I will always think of you and your girls when I listen to this song.

Ive been on antidepressants for some years now, and working on coping mechanisms, and ill tell you. Coping SUCKS because its HARD. And antidepressants feel weird when you first start them because you get so used to how depression feels that when you DONT feel those depression symptoms (at least not to the extreme you did before) it feels like youre completely numb and emotionless. Coping sucks because the bad coping mechanisms (self harm, addiction, etc) are so much easier to do than the good ones because its so much easier to 'indulge' in your dark thoughts and feelings than it is to actively fight against them

woah, I've never seen such a thorough but concise breakdown of jack stauber's work before. this video felt like a bit like a crash course on Baby Hotline and the story that's embedded in its lyrics. I'm going to keep this lyrical dissection in mind in the future when I listen to this song again, since I really enjoyed the interpretation of it. I hadn't found any particular meaning to the lyrics before this, as I struggled finding ways to connect each of the verses together to form a coherent storyline, however watching this video changed that. Thank you, comrade ( •̀ ω •́ )✧!!

There is one little moment I noticed, the line "She's a hoarder, of quarters."
Hoar in Hoarder is dragged out in such a way that it sounds like another word, and there's a vaguely brief pause between "She's a HOARder" and "Of quarters". That along with the visuals of Baby being seemingly unclothed and surrounded by money, makes me believe she feels like a "hoarder" with how many times she's called. Even though she's the one exchanging money, she's also the one exposing herself, and being humiliated by the one she's basically doing business with as they may laugh at her and make her feel degraded. It's possible it's an insult that's been thrown at her before, maybe even by someone at the other end before because she called so much and used so much money calling.
Or it may be she's either works or use to work like that before, or had a bad experience that makes her think of herself that way, and it's part of why she's in such a bad mental state.

Another thing I’d like to point out (which Im sure other has too), After Babys potential boyfriend finishes his part of the chorus. You can hear the words “Au revoir”. Au revoir means “Goodbye, until we meet again.” in french. My personal theory is that Baby’s boyfriend is subconsiously aware that Baby wont stick around for much longer, but yet hopes that it when she does go, It isn’t a final goodbye. That one day he’ll see her again, in a better state. (Like the lyric beforehand implies.)

My theory is there is no phone operator, but just Baby and a loved one's perspectives. The hotline meaning who she's dependent on giving her all the comfort she could ask for, but even that isn't enough to calm her anymore. "drinking eyes" could mean her wanting to cry but can't, drinking more meaning wanting water/tears to flow.
The second chorus switches to her loved one realizing she actually attempted and starts calling for an ambulance (dial nine/felt the wind). Thankfully in time to give her another chance to live too (no flatline). Hung up and put on hold could mean she didn't want them to stop her and stopped talking to them. The rest of the song switches back to her view, thinking all the help she's getting is wasted on her and already planning another attempt, this time faking feeling better so no one finds out (I feel so good/I won't say anymore).

As a Jack Stauber fan i can conferm that a woman(Jacks Wife)was on the Suicide Hotline(which is why its named Baby Hotline). The frase "One day i will go back outside and see your okay" means that when jack dies he will hope to see her okay. The frase "Baby flatline" ment that she did kill herself. The frase "Shes a hoarder of quarter's" means that she used quarters to call the hotline on a payphone. The frase " I can insense somebody will die and i hate hoping" means that Jack might have forced her to kill herself so he could make more creepy animations.

Why would he kill his wife to make weird anims? You don't need to do that to make weird stuff. Liar liar pants on fire.

I agree with most of it but it being Jack and his wife, they are fictional people like in his other work

I honestly see the song in a different Pov,
I see it as in the perspective of the person who Baby called, most of the points I agree with but the main reason why I see in the perspective that baby called is from the line "I insist somebody would die" which at first doesn't sound right cause it would be insisted, but at the start of dialogue it's insist instead of insisted so I think it's kind of similar and if combining the points you make it sounds like someone just was hired by the hotline and insists to everyone someone would die and they knew it was baby so they ignored them, then she died.
Also I heard instead of "hung up and put on hold" I heard "Your life was cut too short" which could be the boyfriend possibly
