Hi guys, something went wrong with the upload yesterday, there were weird problems with UA-cam's metrics and analytics, so we decided to reupload this. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you so much for your kind feedback and suggestions! ^^
The attention to detail put into this game despite such a punishingly short development cycle is amazing! Thank you for these videos and thank you to everyone commenting with other cool observations. 🖤
I’ll just keep adding this until hopefully you see it and put it in a future video: During the fight with Majora’s Mask, when you get to Majora’s Wrath, if you do enough damage for it to start attacking you with the lasso tentacles, change into Deku Link. Because Deku Link is small and light, when Majora’s Wrath throws you over its shoulder, you can actually fly across the entire arena. If aimed just right, you can get it to throw you into the alcove where Majora’s Mask is stuck to the wall at the very beginning of the fight. This makes it nearly impossible for Majora to hit you. This is only doable in the N64 version. On 3DS they patched it and there’s an invisible barrier over the alcove.
Really happy that you went out of your way to summarize the story of the Bremen musicians! It's not the most incredible fairytale, but it's one of my favorites still, so seeing it covered here is great. I really like your channel!!
Came for this. Never really knew about it even though I played Majora's Mask. I thought it was a really sweet story and the pictures along with the song from the Astral Observatory really hit the spot.
The rupees washing downstream, what an odd but funny detail to include. Only a year of dev time, and they still added small tidbits like that. This is why Majora's Mask remains the greatest game of all time, imo.
Regarding the boss Twinmold, even though they never do more than fly around, and certainly don't use any kind of elemental attacks, the two Lanmolas that make up the boss are elemental and color-coded as such. The red Lanmola is weak to ice and resistant to fire, and the blue Lanmola is weak to fire and resistant to ice. Both Lanmolas are also weak to light.
@@TheBanishedWind Are there three boulders? I thought there were two. Either way, since you're saying it would have been better if there were four, I guess you don't know that if you rotate the circle pad after grabbing the red Lanmola, Link's wrestling move does additional damage; enough to shave a cycle off the fight if you do it each time.
More of a tip: When fighting Them at Romani Ranch: likely the intention was for you to fight them _on_ horseback. But it's easier to just camp around the barn itself as the dog always barks at the closes one, but also that the alien's lens flare can be used to target them: on foot, their lens flare circles will line up if your shot will hit. (at least on N64 version)
Here's a cool fact about Wind Waker The flags that you can put on pedastal on Windfall Island actually change directions depending if the wind is blowing. And if you plant them on pedastal inside building where there is no wind then they just hang there not blowing at all
I've heard Rumors that the Mirror Shield was actually meant to be lost from the 3 day cycle, hence you can repetitively collect it. I actually think it was not planned to make it to the game at first, but decided to do so because Light puzzles are cool.
Two details worth mentioning: 1.- If you help the bomb lady and recover her bag, Sakon will never come to the Curiosity Shop, so Kafei won't have someone to follow to Ikana. 2.- There are real world constellations on the night sky such as Orion. Even betelgeuse star keeps it's reddish colour.
for whatever reason there's a hurtbox for the final battle in the middle of the room for bombs. However only works on the second phase of the fight. The bombs will hurt him no matter where he's at.
At 4:26, on the 3ds version anyways, i was able to use Zora Links Boomerang fins to pull them out early. I'm not sure if this works on the 64 version or not though.
MM is easily my favorite video game, even with all these new games coming out this game is just special. Seeing some new things about MM I never knew is so awesome. Even with the time constraint they put a lot of effort into this game.
Deku Link's spin has the ability to stun a *lot* of enemies, making a lot of fights significantly easier if you're really fast at changing forms. Some enemies are vulnerable to the bubbles he shoots, too, particularly Wolfos, since they're instantly killed if attacked from behind. Zora Link's electric shield is similar, although it costs magic to use. Deku Link can bounce across water. But he can bounce *further* if you pick up speed and spin off a ledge.
@@SevenIsaCannibal7 Yeah, there's a lot of things about the 3DS remake I'm not fond of them changing. That's one of them, and what they did to Zora Link's swimming is another.
@@SevenIsaCannibal7 I might need to try that again, because it seems to me like it still worked fine. Especially since there were a few areas where not using it would make getting across an intended pathway a lot harder.
I love the attention to detail both in OoT and MM. It's amazing to see stuff like what happens with de lilly pads with esch form, or the three 20 rupees in the laundry pool.
I noticed something was up. I played it and the "squares" were on the right side. Watched a video and say they were on the left. Glad to know why it was different!
In Ikana Castle, atop one of the pillars in the south-east part of the courtyard, you can find a paper airplane. Although Link can walk right up to it, it has no use. Could it be that Ikana before being inhabited by the dead, it was filled with children?
I’d have to try the glitch that lets you collect from the treasure chest an infinite amount of times on the one with the mirror shield; if you use Z-Targeting while, at the same time, using shield and a bottle of fish or bugs to release, you can cancel the action and get a result. It’s personally my favorite because you can get as many heart pieces, as long as you never actually opened the chests located underground at Termina Field. Other contents in a bottle might work but I haven’t tried. In other words, that’s some great content. There’s always something I never knew about yet and learned in select classic games in every upload I’ve watched.
You can actually complete a heart container as Deku Link within the 1st 3 day cycle. You can obtain these 4 heart pieces in Clock Town as Deku Link during this cycle. The 1st one can be obtained on the Clock Tower deck after trading the Moon’s Tear. The 2nd one can be obtained by winning the postman’s game on nights 1 and 2. The 3rd one can be obtained by trading the title deed at the inn after midnight. The 4th one can be obtained by winning the Deku Playground game 3 times each day.
Loving the Zelda series! In my off time I’ve been doing some of the cool tricks you have shown and it just makes me fall in love with the games more! ❤️
I just wanna mention how much I love your channel, especially these videos on Majora's Mask. I played this game over and over as a kid, and at the time I thought I knew everything about it. Just goes to show how many little details there are in this game.
On the 3rd day, look at Skull Kid on top of Clock Town with the telescope to see a different Animation, and he wont jump away like usual and remains there looking creepy
I am from germany and it always made me smile that such a great game made a reference to a german fairytale. Making them little chics grow up is also my favourite sidequest😄
This really makes me want to complete a run and place it on my channel. I always loved Majora's Mask a bit more than Ocarina of Time specifically just because of the sheer amount of detail put into the game. To think that I'm still learning stuff to this day. I did know about the rupees in the Laundry Pool, that was actually a clever touch. Don't forget to mention about the bank too. Even though they give you a 5000 rupee limit, if you have 4999 rupees and the giant's wallet, you can grandfather in the 500 for a max total of 5499 rupees to store in the bank.
I always found the story about a dog leader a strange one, interesting to know that it was actually a story to a fairy tale! The light changing on the day also blew my mind, they didn't had to go that far, and yet they did
Once again: The amount of small details make This Game the Game I love. (It is my Favourite Zelda With TP) And Holy moly, so Many things i havent thought about
I love how MM was supposed to be an OoT spin off sequel kinda like an add on but they’ve added so many small details to it that make it entirely it’s own separate game.
1:54 Ok THIS I did NOT know. Speaking of said shield it’s very likely that the Mirror Shield was supposed to have been lost when you went back in time but this was probably changed when it was realized how tedious it would’ve been to get it over and over again.
Suggestion if you haven’t covered it. By playing the Sonata of Awakening just outside of Clocktown in Termina Field, a Keese will drop rupees for you, going around Clocktown's outer walls.
2:50 Fun Fact: If you had the Europan version, and use the debug menu to access the Fairy Mountain in that way, the background would look the same as if it was in the US/Japan versions...
