It's a beautiful city with quite a history. Seeing all the wonderful architecture there one would never guess the city was so badly damaged in WW1. We plan on visiting the eastern European countries in the fall and it certainly looks good. Thanks Barnyz for the great tour of this wonderful city. Best wishes!

you missed the grand beguinage. The oldest part of leuven, It's a walled of 13th century town within the city, The university bought and renovated all of the buildings and now it's like stepping into a medieval town. Especially when the evening falls. It's actually one of the biggest remaining beguinages in the low countries. It's not really a tourist attraction, the university rents out the properties to Guest professors, and students alike a believe. So the town is still being lived in. But during the evening it's a great place for a romantic walk lol.

You always surprise. I hadn't heard of the city and watched your video with my mouth open. After that, I looked up Google Maps to see how far Leuven was from Mannheim😣 .
