She is the best coach in ALL of basketball.... men, women, pro, or collegiate. Hands down understands the game and her players and the strategy of what’s needed in the moment better than any other coach. She develops her players and her players accept their roles knowing it is about development.
Ehh.. I love Dawn but she’s no where near the Goat. Maybe in about 5-10 years she’ll be in that conversation, but as of right now her resume pales in comparison to Geno and Pat’s.

I am a UConn fan More importantly I am a fan of the woman's game. Mad respect for coach Staley and what she has done for the SC program.. This game really came down to UConn having plenty of good looks at the basket and were unable to hit there shots tonight. But give SC credit PaoPao showed why this SC team is probably better than last year there ability to hit the outside shot makes them way more dangerous than last year. I think they are deeper to. Watkins had a great game also. This game was lost in the first half with UConn's inability to knock down the open shot.36.6% just wont get it and a lot of those shots were from wide open looks. Great game from a great team congrats SC. I also want to say it's nice to see Dawn appreciate and complement Geno on what he has done for the womans game. Unlike a lot of idiots that come on here and say he is a bad coach. Like I said I am a UConn fan but can appreciate the greatness Coach Staley has instilled in the SC program.

Also, lots of comments about Geno not laying down and praising SC enough, which he did on more than one occasion today. We'll know that SC is a true women's blue blood when the fans stop complaining about Geno due to the comparisons to a historically great program and whatever insecurities that complaining is born in, and just celebrate the great teams that SC puts on the floor.

Coach Dawn Staley is authentic and transparent as they come you have to respect her for what she does for NCAAW basketball program. You can't knock her coaching mentality her players respect and love her because she enhances their natural athletic abilities and want to keep playing at a high level and they compete every game and coaches are taking notes.
SC is the team to beat this year. UConn had the shots, but not eough of them went in. Credit to SC D. It will be interesting to see how UConn playys from here on. They have little bench. If Ice and Q can improve enough to give the starters a break they could go deeper into the NCAA than some are predicting. WCBB is on a roll.
Yea I was checking her out Sunday she plays like she’s 7ft tall bullying the crap out of people , with the ability to drive, hit jumper etc , she got a bunch of what they call nasty in her. I’m really really surprised at her coming in mid season to a #1 tam last year and just blending right in with the team . Yes it’s a bunch of nice talent on this team . Dawn have built this program to where it hard for them not to be in the hunt for the foreseeable future.

Uconn is the all time standard in women's basketball. South Carolina has grown into a force. Dawn has her girls locked in and the national championship is the goal
At this point, it's just about fine tuning for South Carolina. I still believe South Carolina had a better team last year than this year. Better 3pt shooting doesn't mean a better team. But this year's team seems better equipped to weather storms than last year's powerful, crushing team. LSU is not a number 4 seed. If LSU is a 4 what is UConn. An 8? Based on both games against South Carolina, at no point did it seem like UConn had a shot at winning the game whereas LSU most certainly had a shot to win it. It'll be interesting how they preview this Bracket but if you're putting LSU as a 4, you're fucking up the Bracket and putting pressure on a #1 seed, even South Carolina. It's hilarious how people said LSU played the best we can play and that South Carolina didn't play that well. Um, nope... that was not LSU'S best. No where near it. If you think Mikaylah Williams missing 10 threes is LSU's best, you're crazy. I think LSU needs to be locked in at a 2 seed and no lower than a 3. And if LSU beats South Carolina in the SEC tournament, how can than not be worthy of a 1 seed, since no one has beaten SC. Cardoso didn't even play and they ran thru UConn, so LSU contended with SC with Cardoso playing... I'm baffled how people are ranking UConn higher than LSU and seeding UConn higher. Based on schedule? It doesn't matter what you attempt, if you can't perform it or land it, it shouldn't matter. At least in gymnastics it doesn't. Difficult schedule or not, LSU could've played SC better today than UConn did, if the officials called it fair. South Carolina ain't gone get shit if and when y'all play Iowa. The refs are going to be 100% pro Caitlin Clark, so enjoy the favorable officiating. LSU didn't even get a break at home against SC and somehow big ole Cardoso only had one foul but was elbowing and clotheslining damn near everybody right in front of the pro-South Carolina refs. LSU can bear South Carolina on a neutral court with neutral referees, but there is a vendetta out against Angel Reese. Black female referees are hating on Angel Reese. Clear as day.
