- In his talk, Gould discusses the important role dreams and memories play in our lives.
Jeff Gould has managed the Funeral Planning department for 10 years. “The best part of what I do is the learning the stories and life lessons of families we serve. I meet people every day who may or may not be rich, but have led rich lives.”

I like the last sentence: "what would it be like to do a TED talk?"
This man lives what he talks about. Thanks so much, for inspiring us.
This is one of the few ted talks where I can hear clear emotion, determination, and wisdom in the speaker's tone. I personally think that he did a wonderful job.
Can't agree more.
Hey, Thank you! I really appreciate your comments :)!
Mr. Gould is such a moving speaker because he is such a great listener.
This talk should have millions of views…
This talk is 😍 amazing. It touched me to my core. So many lessons we have been given in just one talk! The lesson of the power and healing of human touch. The lesson that God knows our deeper yearnings and when we open our hearts he can use us to do remarkable things that bring fulfilment and joy. The power of remembering actively and daily searching for things that make us happy and that we are grateful for and how that simple act can bring more things into our lives to be grateful for and how it raises our vibration. And finally the lessons of the perspective and choosing to let good memories imprint your mind. I was searching for dream and dream meanings and interpretation, but it was no accident I came across this Ted talk, so profound. I'm touched. Thank you
Jeff, you inspired me to be someone like you. You are a marvellous person…much ❤️.
This is the best TED talk I've ever heard, thank you. I’ll record this is one of the things I’m grateful for today.

@@J3ffG0u7d absolutely amazing speech
Yeah..!
It was amazing!
I was listening to Ted Talk when and i fell fast asleep. However, I woke up to Dolores story and her Grandson and It reminded me of 8 years that i dedicated to a person i met at a bus stop who was homeless. When he was a young boy, his parents put him up for adoption and it caused him lots of pain in his heart and because of this he made wrong choices. I saw great potential in this person and i didn't give up on him even though he had troubles due to alcoholism and mental illness. We became best friends for 8 years. In all these years, i didn't give up on him and I poured myself into his life I advocated for him to make sure he got a home, therapy and right meds. I saw him flourish to the person i knew he would become. Then one day he met someone who took him down a wrongful path and he started drinking heavily again and began taking drugs. He pushed me away and I couldn't see him any longer. That burden did push me down and it made me so sad, but as Dolores did, I will carry this burden on wings of a dream for who I could be.
Thank you Jeff, listening to your stories is the best thing that happened to me today. I will not stop praying & dreaming, God Bless you.
Thank you for sharing this. I wish you well.

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful message. I loved how you got to the point about the world being delusional at the beginning.
I have recently started in believing in my dreams and though i have watched a lot of Tedtalks, I am not sure why I did not come across this before..i believe this is the right time to watch it so I can relate to what he is saying, reflect on it and apply to my life. Through dreaming we can perceive other worlds, which we can certainly describe, but we can't describe what makes us perceive them. - Yaqui Shaman, Don Juan Matus 💤

Life is never lived in dreams, just by the choices you make. Once those choices are made, these choices are yours for life. That's why life cannot be lived backward, or you can't raise the dead. Collin???
Fantastic 🙏🏼
Just think about balancing bad memories and good dreams. How awesome is that could be?
This a great indeed

This is one 100% in conflict with the Zen buddhist perspective, which actually says that you are not who you were.
REFRESHING !
Thank you!
I enjoyed it but it seems like your standard, "empowering, motivational" speech. Next, he has to remind the audience that he has books/cd's/a website where people can buy products on self improvement. Lastly, I question about this speaker and the stories he told. Were the stories that he told real or just fabricated to fit his cause?
Let me guess...5th grade? You have no idea what you are talking about. TedX is way over your head
The power of self improvement is way beyond just shallow waters.

Why do I dream memories that aren't mine
Good question. I have been having strange reaccurring dreams of an old house I've never been to. More like a building really. I remember every room including the hidden children's playrooms & pass the huge kitchen is a special room where they do experiments on patients. I started keeping a journal on my dreams.
My dream involves a huge pink old car and I'm having a milkshake with her and the waitress puts the trays on the window in roller skates it's rather odd I've never seen the woman in my life either
