I just made a comment about how I felt impact to me had become.... don't mistake me for bashing impact I loved TNA impact wrestling since 2003 but it was 2005 I became a full time fan when I had cable and I watched Impact before it moved to Spike TV I was happy as heck because WWE raw moved to USA network and to my surprise Spike TV became the home for TNA wrestling I loved the production and creative stuff they did but after they left Spike and after those who financially backed impact stopped I noticed the lack in visual and sound production is all. But I still feel impact wrestling former TNA wrestling can be at the level at best it was in 2005 they just need that right amount of help... I'm sorry I had to get this off my chest. Now that's out the way. Let's give it up to Impact Wrestling for making it 1000 episodes I hope within the next 1000 episodes they will be charting number 2 after AEW or after WWE but realistically a new weekly war between AEW vs Impact Wrestling as WWE will be number one xD though not that I feel proud of saying that I honestly thought by now TNA wrestling would be the ones who be equal to or topped WWE.... lol alright enough of me again happy 1000 impact wrestling 😂
Don West and Mike Tenay were an amazing duo. And that old entrance tunnel was so cool. People don’t realise how great TNA was in the 2000s. I say that as a massive WWE fan. TNA was my other choice of wrestling companies and the only other one I invested in. It had familiar faces of course but things like the 6 sided ring made it different and truly amazing.
TNA 2004-2009 was THE wrestling company. Yes WWE may have pulled more viewers in but this era of TNA was great then and has aged amazingly since, nothing will top it imo
The look and feel of Impact from 2004 - I would even say 2012 (in a whole different way, especially thanks to the production) is still unprecedented and I'm shocked nobody was able to replicate that. You would think it wouldn't be too hard but here we are.
So many quality debuts when think about it, whether be Kurt Angle, Booker T, Hulk Hogan, Kenny Omega, list goes on but fair play to Impact on what they have achieved over the last 20 years, onwards to the next 20 years.
Man have there been some insane debuts. Who knows what other surprises and first time impacts are ahead. LFG! Ohh I loved when Victoria and Kurt Angle showed up. How huge was it though to see Flair, Bischoff, and Hogan in one night though. Crazy!
The execution was rarely flawless in TNA but there was a lot of cool stuff going on. Seeing Sting in the rafters checking out the nWo members just felt right, and then his whole storyline with Hogan and becoming Joker Sting, was a highlight of that era.
Right, plus he told WWE he wanted out from his contract because he is injured and they honored his wish. A few months later he appeared in TNA, that’s wild.
@@mrdude88not even a few months , Angle appeared in the Beginning of August 2006 on ECW then at the end of TNA’s September 2006 Pay-Per-View he showed up on a Pre-Recorded Video
I wish it was called TNA still and I know a lot of people didn't like the name but hey that's when I started watching it from the time the company had ppvs every Wednesday nights.
WWE and AEW is too tightly scripted for it's women. No matter what they do, you can see it coming. It always seemed IMPACT! women were told how the story starts, how and when it ends, maybe a few points along the way. How they get there is up to them, just make it entertaining. Just like the guys.
Maybe contract and permission thing. Which would be ironic as IMPACT! kept ROH relevant enough for TK to have something to buy. IMPACT! was there for AEW to advance Omega's "belt collector" storyline, let Don Callous appear as still an IMPACT! employee while signed with AEW, but AEW did what appeared to be very little in return.
Well they definitely have the wrestlers they have the talent and the storylines now I hear that put a lot of money into production productions where it's at and that's where they're going after
Eso era lo más emocionante de los debuts en Tna... el público prácticamente enloquecía.. y los comentaristas le ponían ese sabor a la narración... me encantaba esa época de Tna
Everyone other than Easy-E & Hollywood hogan I could have done without. I watch TNA thru the NWA days til now and I still think that was a waste of money they could have signed half the ROH roster instead of those guys and would have made more money betting on their future than the past look at AEW
I watched a lot of TNA back in the day, and honestly? I think the true high point of TNA was Joe vs. Angle. That had the most hype ever and it honestly delivered.
Where is Christian Cage? That was the one that really announced TNA on the wrestling scene. He was the first to jump straight across from WWE whilst in his prime.
Great moments for sure, but not all of these were "surprising" when they were promoted ahead of time. Just saying! Still great to relive these moments.
Imagine if Tony Khan wasn't such a big wrestling fan, and hadn't started his own company, and IMPACT! could have continued to ride the momentum that a lot of these debuts sparked . . . 🤔
@@oshk6982because Awesome Kong wasn’t a surprise. Nostalgic, yes. Surprising, no. We all knew Trinity was going back to WWE or even AEW, but chose IMPACT (which is great)

Yeah, that was always a bit jarring. They spoke about the people debuting as if everyone already knew them by those names. Reminds me of Shinsuke Nakamura debuting in nXt with his finisher now being named the Kinshasa, but it was never called that before, and the announcers were yelling it as if it always went by that name. Just kind of takes you out of the moment.
That's a story in itself. They gave him more chances than anyone, yet he still showed up highly "impaired" for a PPV main event against Sting for the championship. Yeah, not likely they would include him.
There were so many ex champs who coulda been there for one night, amazingly and wonderfully some are still with WWE/AEW , but some free agents/legends coulda tuned up & waved for one night, I guess as things stand Impact dont know who in WWE to ask permission for , lol. It kinda boiled down to the Knockouts for special guests..
Don't miss IMPACT 1000 THURSDAY at 8/7c on AXS TV! and at 8:30pm ET on IMPACT Insiders on UA-cam.
I was there it was awesome I enjoyed victory road as well

I always thought the 6 side ring was the coolest thing at the time. It made TNA different from the WWE.
I loved TNA. There was a great mix of established stars and rising talents. For every Jeff Jarrett there was an AJ Styles.

Man, TNA's Kurt Angle was beast. The entrance video, the aura, I still feel the goosebumps and urge to scream as i rematch
Kurt Angle is my dad
he was a bit too hyped up and legit headbutted Joe there lol

My biggest 'pop' in TNA was when AJ Styles helped the MeM. When the music changed i got goosebumps.
One of the most underrated moments in TNA history.
But what was it the precursor to? That run signalled the end of tna.
When Kurt debuted in impact my jaw droppee to the floor. It was a surreal sight.
Impact wrestling is and was possibly the most underrated wrestling company in history ‼️
1:24 my #1 favorite tna/impact debut
happy 1000 impact the greatest company in history
Mickie, Tara & Trinity were the best Knockout debuts
When it comes to debuts, Impact really did it right, always.
