I miss this era of TNA so much! Hot take, but this was probably the best run of AJ's career imo. He was legitimately cooler than everyone else in any promotion at this time and each week you wanted to tune in to see what direction the character was going in next. When he tapped Jeff Hardy with the calf killer in the BFG series, my dad and I marked out like crazy. When he left, it was a HUGE blow to TNA.

Bobby Roode is someone I’m sad didn’t get a true main roster run in WWE .
Would love for him to return now, or maybe even a one off return at the Rumble, with Triple H in charge it could’ve been fun but with his back fusion surgeries and age he’s probably done in ring sadly, seems to be enjoying producing and how much less it is on his body.

I still love Lone Wolf AJ Styles. Wonderful character work from him during this period, was a total badass plus the silent mode also helped him to cover his weakness of cutting promos.

I don't think the Evil Way theme song is a TNA exclusive. I don't think WWE can use this theme song. They can make a very similar version but not the same because this theme song is a TNA exclusive.
They used it for a couple hype promos. A rare WM match one with taker and punk. And a match for fast lane against the Wyatt’s awhile back I believe.
Then Aj gone to ROH to NJPW, and then Bullet Club, that was Too Sweet 🤘

Gotta be honest, this angle also highlighted Dixie Carter's mic/acting skills as a heel. I found myself impressed more and more after every promo toward the end. Great heel. Perfect foil for AJ.

This aj styles got me into njpw and Tna when I first started watching wrestling again.
Vickie Guerrero had legit character heat, but Dixie Carter had legit "go-away" heat. Am I wrong?
Nope, and for that reason I prefer Vickie. She's brilliant at generating kayfabe heat and haye but we all respect her, whereas I just hate Dixie.

As if this was over 10 years ago. I hadn't seen much of TNA prior to the Hogan takeover. This was what solidified AJ Styles as one of my favourites. He went on to have some amazing matches in the G1 tournament 2014.
FINALLY they put this whole thing together in one video will definitely be watching this.. i loved lone wolf no one AJ more than any other version of him it fit 2013 so well and fit him so well and the leather jacket with the hood was the perfect badass outfit for anyone exspecially him

This story hit a home run The darkness felt eerie The atmosphere felt like a dark cloud AJ came off like a sad child who just lost his parents He spoke nothing but silence
When i pretty much i started watching TNA with Main Event Mafia being Kurt, Sting, Hogan, Samoa, Magnus, Jeff & Matt also being there as well Christian, fighting aces & eights. Etc…
The whole story angle of “the Lone Wolf” AJ Styles is very similar to “the Crow” Sting. The reason why they withdraw from their wrestling organization and fans, how they become darker in character, how they go at it alone, and eventually how they take down a big heel faction and win the world title. Very similar storylines. Remember, Eric Bishcoff was with both companies during those times.
I never watched tna back then (or now either) but as soon as I started watching this that’s exactly what this felt like. It was sting vs nwo all over again in all the best ways.

It's a fact that everything going on with the wrestling industry nowadays, TNA had done it before. TNA influenced fans, companies, wrestlers and writers and still current companies are borrowing many ideas from TNA. Too bad that TNA could not sustain for a long time due to business competition and some bad decisions. If they could keep up their work for the next 7-8 years, professional wrestling landscape in North America would have changed so much.
