Check out this smooth lap in my GR Yaris with Datamonitoring. You can see the Canchecked Datadisplay with all the important Temperatures on a single Nürburgring Nordschleife Lap. Pretty interesting, what do you think? Next time i will check this 3 laps in a row, to see at which temperature the AWD switches off ;-)
    🇩🇪
Was denkt ihr?

@@adrianfairfield5520 I haven't checked it personally on mine but that's what I've been told from my tuner here that is also taking care of all the GR Yaris of the trophy. Although it has been torture tested at higher temps with no issues, the problem is that the thresold is very conservative and the system suddendly shuts off making the car fwd (even in a corner eventually). Syvecs has made a programmable AWD module that replaces the stock one where you can map the temp limit, how much lock you want at any given time and also use a safer strategy once you reach the limit temperature.

Hey mate being you are running the "water" oil (OEM 0w20) in your GR. 120+ degrees C. What are your service intervals and how are you finding the oil condition when its dropped from the motor? I just got an Oil Cooler for mine as I saw those numbers on track and while the engine seemed completely happy and I service the car after every event. I decided to get a Mishimoto Cooler for some extra headroom. But interested in your thoughts.

I'm curious about what you find harder to drift, the cayman or the yaris, both have there advantages and disadvantages. I now have a 718 cayman for a year now almost and before drove a lot of high powered rwd cars like e39 m5's s204 c63, all so easy to drift but that 718 is tricky imo so would like to hear your opinion on that.

Tbh I just tried it once 😅 with the midengine it’s tricky .. that’s right. But also with the sharp suspension and setup it’s not made to drift. The Yaris on the other hand is also not made to drift…it produces so much grip even in the wet. And awd drifting is completely different
