    Man - consider me jealous! I've always loved those old 70's thinlines. One of my first decent electric guitars as the '72 Re-issue thinline. Also - just want to say thank you for your influence and contribution to modern P&W - it's been hugely influential in my life personally.

      Man, I love these old thinlines too...wish I could go back and pick up a few when they were cheaper! HA! Thanks so much for the kind words. That was so encouraging! Also, I've definitely learned some songs for church on Sundays by watching your videos ;) keep up the good work!

    I’m with you on Coldplay. Jonny is a huge inspiration. Also those thinlines with the wide range humbuckers might just be my favorite guitar sound ever.

    Your ‘72 Thinline Tele is seriously the best sounding Telecaster I have ever heard...the Seth Lover pickups are unbelievable!!!

    Sweet 72 thinline! Been curious about that guitar for 35 years. Can't afford a real one so I'm just going to build a warmoth 72 thinline. Fender finally has brought back the real CuNiFe humbuckers. Guess, all the reissues up to this point were regular humbuckers dressed up like wide range humbuckers. Yeah, I can't wait to play it! Only seen em in glass cases or through recordings. Yours sounds great!

    It is awesome that you are making this! I’ve been your fan since the Passion Album “Our Love is Loud” at 2002!

    Nice, man! I just found and purchased a 2018 Fender Thinline Tele '72 Reissue. One day, I'll have an actual 1972. For now, this Reissue will more than do.

    I still remember the first time I saw you play that guitar and I was like "What is that!?!" and I immediately jumped on eBay and the forums. It looks great and sounds even better! I'm loving all of the videos, I feel like I'm getting a MasterClass from you.

    I saw you guys in Tampa with Matt Maher a few years back. You played that guitar quite a bit that night. Sounded great!

    Thats definitely poly finish it still looks new.. But Tab Benoit clims his are stock but worn like his are nitro. I wonder if they had a transition period where a few had nitro finish.. i have the 72 reissue waiting on me when I get home. I cant wait to try it.

    I remember being a kid and watching Mark Lee play his natural thinline tele in Third Day. Thought it was a cool guitar.

    I loved the ambient sounds. Do you adjust the Reverb pedal a lot throughout a set or do you rely more on delays to get more ambience?

    Awesome man! That guitar is absolutely gorgeous! 😀 I love seeing you use it live. Would love to get to one someday.

    I think we may be multiverse variants of each other. I have the same setup, but do ambient. The P&W crowd here got a little “gatekeeperish.”

    I love your humility in presentation, Daniel, and your everyman approach to playing. Yet, you also take your craft very seriously. The guitar sounded great! Any opinion on the modern reissues of the thinline teles that Fender is putting out now?

      Scott Walter thank you! That’s a great compliment. I really want these videos to feel accessible. I haven’t really played the modern thinline enough to know...Sorry! I know some guys buy them and then put in some fancy wide range humbuckers from a boutique pickup company. Worth looking into! Way more affordable;)

    Love the Thinline Tele's. Looks great in black too. Have you tried Lollar's regal humbuckers for comparison to your originals? It's been a while since I've played a real Thinline.

    Is it a rule that all Christians must use delay at all times when playing electric?

    • @miguelnunez3858
      @miguelnunez3858 2 роки тому

      Yes. There will be delays🤣

    • @summersleepmusic
      @summersleepmusic Місяць тому

      They’ve been waiting for 2000 years, which is a delay in and of itself. 😂❤

    How do you handle tempo changes in a live setting? I assume the band plays with a click in your ears. Are your Timeline presets set to the song’s tempo or do you tap in everything (on both delays) for each song?

    • @danielcarsonguitar6873
      @danielcarsonguitar6873  4 роки тому +1

      Ben Hancock yes, 90% of the time there is a click. I use the timeline BPM to make sure it’s all in time. Then I tap the Memory Man which has a surprisingly good tap tempo. Very accurate

    Sounds fantastic! What were you using for the swells at the end? It sounded huge!

    • @danielcarsonguitar6873
      @danielcarsonguitar6873  4 роки тому

      Shane Longoria thanks! I was using the timeline and memory man w/rv5 for verb. I believe I had the king of tone on too for some drive and sustain since the Princeton was sort of quiet...volume maybe around 2
