This was an absolute masterpiece of an anime...ahh, such wonderful memories, a bag of Halloween candy and Guin Saga, that was a great night, but if anyone has not watched the anime you are missing out on life.
Guin Saga...I found you when I was 11 by accident and now your the best accident that came into my life...You made me laugh,cry,angry,and surprised at the same time.I really hope for another season....but looks like it didn't happen up until now....
I've watched what's left of the anime and only read a bit of the manga. I've heard that the novel is even more detailed; and in fact the anime leaves out a lot of stuff including characters. The manga was unbelievably gorgeous from what I saw. And of the course, the original story itself, the novel, was never completed due to the passing of the author Kaoru Kurimoto. She passed away in 2009. The story and lore of Guin Saga is so massive, dense, and beautiful. Despite it not being finished, I won't forget what we got. It'll always be there, inspiring me. And maybe one day someone will come up with their version of conclusion of Guin Saga... especially these days, it can be made easier with the help of AI understanding texts, stories, patterns, and perhaps even able to come up with decent narratives.

Guin saga was 1 of the influence of berserk creation and yeah you can sea see where cuts pose and later on calm guts come from anyway its a really old japanese novel from the late 70 with over 170 volumes I think insane too bad the author died like miura still only about 55 year old and both are fantasy too it sucks these type of story are rare these days the story is insane past the anime too bad the only way to know is reading the novel I need to learn Japanese

She dint finish the series someone is now trying to finish her work 18 new books are publish after volume 130 but due corona it was some time ago the last book came out and I am sure someone was trying to translate it but a official translate was coming but is stopped after volume 5 soo now I don't know what happened

It's more of a licensing issue. Take for example Guilty Gear. While the company could make the Guilty Gear games, the creator with the license died before putting in his will to pass the license over or give someone else partial ownership of the license so they had to wait (I think 8) years before they were allowed to buy the guilty gear trademark and license and keep producing the games. That's sort of where they're stuck with on this, they have NO right to the series... maybe later in time if there's still interest they'll pick it back up.
dragames i don't think it's about licensing issue , they not gonna make another season probably because of sales and lukewarm reception from japan , the only good part of the anime is OST and yeah this kind of epic medieval fantasy should be done by huge budget company either tv series or movie, since game of thrones is popular right now why not do live adaption base on this series
No, it legitimately is right now a licensing issue. after seeing your comment, I looked it up and they do not have the license for anything past the first 16 volumes. You're right though that they may not continue with the series because of it. But there seems to be some controversy as to why the sales are where it's at. A lot of people were mad that originally the author did NOT want there to be an anime, she wanted it to be done with live action caucasian actors only (So, people felt she was kind of a traitor. ) but this only would have some mild affect on the Japanese sales. What hurt the English sales was the fact that the dub was so godawful that it's become more infamous than 4kids dubbing. The other problem was finding an American station willing to play it as it has some problems with our overly PC society: Killing kids and lots of hints at sex with 13/14 year olds from adults. which is a nono in the US. but, I bet the name Nobuo Uematsu was still a good reason to watch it anyways.
This was the song that drove me to download 27 untranslated volumes of the Saga and willing to buy the only five available in English. Words cannot pay tribute to this...
I swear, the opening (0:00-0:23) sounds just like Enya! I feel like they took that from one of her songs... 0_o It is very pretty song though, none the less.

If you're into medieval fantasy types, I would definitely recommend it. It's probably not for everyone, but I greatly enjoyed it. The only way to find out is to watch it for yourself.
