The power of booktok! I hadn’t really read a book in 7 years. I think maybe I listened to 1-2 audiobooks in that time. I saw a TikTok that had a quote from Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover, immediately bought it, read it in one sitting, and then proceeded to read 10 more books last month.
Honestly The Shadow and Bone books is great in my opinion. I really liked learning about the world and the characters and I actually really liked the main character.
For me, the first one was 5 stars easily but the second two (although really good!) didn’t feel like part of the same series aside from being the same characters. Maybe that’s just me
Girl I loved the Shadow and Bone series, don’t let the haters get to you! Was it the best book ever (writing/skill wise)? No. But was it addicting to read and so fun? Yes.
I just started the Shadown and Bone Trilogy on Monday and ended up devouring the first two and I’m now taking my time with the last book, because I don’t want it to end. 😭
I just loooooove your videos❤ they literally brighten up my day ❤ Makes me want to read more and makes me feel good. Also, you’ve got the best hoodies all the time
if you’re wanting a classic i absolutely loveee the picture of dorian gray! it’s fairly short and there’s heaps of drama and some romance i would 100% recommended
If you want to start on classics, YOU MUST READ The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. It’s not long, it’s plot is wild, there’s a big twist, and it’s one of my all time favorites. If this doesn’t kick start your love for classics, nothing will.
I literally just finished reading Caraval! It is a trilogy, but the first book ends in a way that wraps up the story so you don’t necessarily need to read the other 2 but I highly recommend reading all three!
thank you for reading shadow and bone before six of crows! It’s so worth it. I think they’re decent fantasy books, especially if you’re newer to fantasy! My favorite is the last one (unpopular opinion but I stand by it). Happy reading!
You have to read the caraval book honestly girllllllllllll it’s the best plot twist kind of book. it’s just amazing I finished reading it in one day I could not put it down at all
If I was a dragon I'd sit on a huge pile of books. My 3 favorite books are: - Paradise Lost by John Milton - The Louvre: All the Paintings by Vincent Pomarede - Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson
I love your videos so much💗I really liked twisted hate! You should read the cruel prince series it’s so good. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on them.
I feel the same about Mariana Zapata books! I’ve been reading one a month. With CoHo, I read all the books I owned by her in 2 months and now I don’t have any left 😂
I skipped straight to Six of Crows because I also heard Shadow and Bone wasn’t as good. However, after finishing SOC I went back and read S&B and was SO surprised when I actually enjoyed it even more then SOC! Excited to hear your thoughts!!
Shadow and bone still really good if go into it with an open mind. If your just starting to read fantasy don’t get hung up if you don’t understand. I promise it will be way more enjoyable if you just pretend to know what’s happening if your confused
You should definitely read Marriage For One! It's one of my favou rite books and i have reread that book 3 times now!! It's a lil cheesy but still its amazing and i just loooooove it!! Also i was iffy to read Kulti at first too but oh my god I loved it!! Definetly give that book a chance it was amazing!!!🥰🥰
The power of booktock I haven’t read a book since 2020 but watching people tbr videos have made me want to read again. Love your video also new subscriber xxx
Pride and prejudice is so good but if you are not too much into Jane Austen then I recommend to read Jane Eyre (AMAZING BOOK), The picture of Dorian gray (is a classic with kind of fantasy), Frankenstein (so not what I expected)
Classics can take a while to get into the flow of the writing. I’d recommend getting back into pride and prejudice and keep reading until 100 pages and see if you’re more into it or you can read it easier. It’s one of my favourites but when I first read it, I was STRUGGLING.
I loved the Caraval Trilogy! So underrated! And I gave up on the classics. There are so many books out there that I want to read, why torture myself? lol
You should read the Crave series, it’s just SO GOOD. It is fantasy buuuut romance is a very big part of it. It has amazing characters, plot twists in every single book and the best character ever (that starts appearing in the second book).
If your going to read the book caraval you NEED to read the other two its a HUMONGOUS must those books are so good i cant even explain how much i loved them (and I’m a contemporary romance books gal so i didn’t think i would like a magical wold type book
I also struggle with reading traditional classics and want to challenge myself with reading. I've found it easier to read modern classics e.g. The Great Gatsby, The bell jar. Although I did like The picture of Dorian Grey, I didn't find it as hard to read as other traditional classics 📚
My Body was unbelievably good, the audio book is 💯. I didn’t enjoy Hook Line and Sinker as much as It Happened One Summer because I did love Piper so much, but a lot of people felt the opposite so I’m excited to see what you think! (Also I really didn’t like the love interest Fox so hmm curious on your opinion)
The shadow and bone series gets a lot of hate but I honestly really enjoyed it! I guarantee after you read caraval you'll head straight to Amazon to order the rest 😂
I actually think you will like kulti bc of the slow burn and at the same time the girl is 27? or 25? something like that. Literally nothing happens till like page 470 and its like a 500 page book😅For me it really wasn't taboo or forbidden

Wow

The Caraval series is one of my all time favorite series! I hope you enjoy it!!! 😚
one of the very few classics i’ve read is wuthering heights, it’s very chaotic and dramatic but i thought it was good lol
Girl I finally got around to the things we never got over. I loved the banter. 5 stars recommend to everyone
I absolutely adored the caraval series, it got me back into reading. It also has a spin-off series with the first book out that is also amazing
For me, the first one was 5 stars easily but the second two (although really good!) didn’t feel like part of the same series aside from being the same characters. Maybe that’s just me
@@taiahrepstock4845 I totally agree, loved the first one but the second 2 were good but they didn’t link so well
i love your videos so much, they’re so comforting to watch haha🥰
Love walking up to destiny uploading 😍
Girl I loved the Shadow and Bone series, don’t let the haters get to you! Was it the best book ever (writing/skill wise)? No. But was it addicting to read and so fun? Yes.

Im soo excited to see how you find the shadow and bone series!!
I gave them a change and I really loved it, especially the last book!
Good classics for me are the full Anne of Green Gables collection, and Little Woman. Also they are the only classics I own.

Have you read the cruel prince series if not you should it sooo good
you should do a book shelf tour showing every book you have
For classics, I really liked 1984 and Animal Farm by George Orwell! Animal Farm is really small, so maybe an easy read.
Ur so pretty and sweet! I love ur vids! This month I'm going to be reading the Good Girls Guide to Murder series!!😆😆
💕💕
I loved the Caraval Trilogy! So underrated! And I gave up on the classics. There are so many books out there that I want to read, why torture myself? lol
You should read the Crave series, it’s just SO GOOD. It is fantasy buuuut romance is a very big part of it. It has amazing characters, plot twists in every single book and the best character ever (that starts appearing in the second book).
Dorian gray is also easy to understand and ben barnes narrates the audiobook!
READ ACOTAR
Omg, can you do a notion tour? I have a notion and I love looking at other people's notion lol
I love the first 2 Grisha books. Haven't gotten to the 3rd yet.

Marriage for One was so good as was Kulti. Fuel My Fire was so far my least fave in the series, but I am a huge Ryke / Daisy fan ;)
I know you got that jacket for christmas but do you know where its from. I absolutely love it!
My Body was unbelievably good, the audio book is 💯. I didn’t enjoy Hook Line and Sinker as much as It Happened One Summer because I did love Piper so much, but a lot of people felt the opposite so I’m excited to see what you think!
