sameee it’s amazing 🎉
i love your daily/weekly vlogs but these book vlogs feels like the old times and fills my heart with so much warmth 🥹
40 minutes reading vlog? My dream!!! Have been missing your book videos lately ❤
STEPH BOHRER BOOK RANT VIDEOS ARE SOOO BACCKK THANK YOU QUEENN
"I'm gunna go hallucinate now" 34:05 is SO TRUE WHEN READING A BOOK
for the throne of glass reading order you just have to read assassin's blade before queen of shadows it doesn't matter if you read it 1st 2nd 3rd or 4th. But the most common are 1st (chronological order) or 4th (publishing order). I read it first and really loved that because you really get to know the main character's backstory before heading into the full series. Hope this helps :)
this!! and reading acotar before tog bc it’s a better transition if you like more romance. i can’t remember if she finished acotar
I thought reading it first was publishing order lol
you are the NUMBER 1 most confortable person I've ever known, your videos feel like a warm hug by the fire and someone playing with your hair on a chilly night. thank you for your services ma'am
I love that my whole UA-cam feed is girlies yapping about books, it’s my happy place fr☺️
You should read the infernal devices too it is cozy reads and perfect for the fall 😊 and maybe you should do switching screen time for reading, it would be fun.
Oh, this is actually the best thing ever, like 40 minutes with you is the dream! My weekend really started off strong! You truly are the best, Steph❤️
a 40 min clog from Steph?! this is the best day of my life 🥹🥹 edit: vlog*
A CLOG LMAOO 😭
@@tasniahakter2787 can you tell I’ve been needing this blog 🫡🫡 going thru it fr
A ToG/Acotar reading vlog would literally kill me!!!! Cant wait ❤❤
i love our book club group it’s so especial and fun
You have to read Assasins blade first!!! In throne of glass there’s references to AB, it also really helped me thru ToG because I knew Celeanas past
Real I agree
Steph in her Fantasy- Romantsy era is my favorite era.
Bestie
we all LOVE HEARING about your life!!!
IT IS MY FAVOURITE THING!!!
@@Clemmiesbookies Sorry!!!
its was autocorrect
This is honestly the best thing ever! Every moment with you is a gift-40 minutes?? Love you, Steph! You’ve just made me the happiest person 😍
I’m reading throne of glass right now!! I started with throne of glass then crown of midnight then assassins blade. So far I’m enjoying that reading order. I liked diving straight into the plot and then going back to her back story!! Love the vlog 💞
Omg!!! TOG is one of my fave series ever!! I hope ur having the best reading experience ever. Get ready to be changed after finishing the series hahah
I think plants with cascading leaves would look super cute on the bookshelf that you hate.... on the part that's like stairs. Lol
Love every single vlog that you do, but book videos will forever be the reason I started watching you. This made me so happy to see :)
I’m so excited for you to read One Dark Window and Two Twisted crowns. I just read them last month and I loved them! The writing is beautiful! The first book takes a moment to get into and understand but then the duology picks up SO much! Hope you love it!
If you want good forbidden romance pull up almost any Carian Cole she does age gaps really good where it doesn’t feel gross but actually romantic and makes sense. “don’t kiss the bride,” “no tomorrow,” “tied” by her are some of my faves. Also “star crossed” duet by Trilina Pucci is good it’s like a Romeo and Juliet retelling very forbidden.
AHH! TOG is my favorite fantasy series of all time! I am so excited to see you get started into fantasy! I personally recommend reading The Assassins Blade first, just because when you start reading TOG is was nice for me to already know the background of the main character. And to tandem read EOS and TOD, it takes a while, and it’s a lot to take in, but there are charts online that you can find to know what chapters to read when, that way the times match up (Since EOS and TOD are both happening at the same time just in different parts of the world).
Steph for throne of glass reading order, you can either read it in the order it came in the box or read The Assassins Blade 3rd. That book is basically a prequel kinda showing how the character ended up where she is. So it just depends on if you want all the information first hand then read it first, if you prefer to have pieces of the backstory puzzle given to you throughout then read it 3rd. I personally read it 3rd and loved it
Oh my gosh! So excited for you to rest the throne of glass series 🤭 I was also really confused about the reading order when I read it, but I decided to read it in the published order and loved that. ❤📚 So I guess that’s what I would recommend you doing. It keeps some of the mystery going, and I personally think it’s easier to get into the series this way. There is also information in the assassin’s blade that is more relevant for later in the series more so than the first couple of books.
This is the published order:
Throne of Glass (2012)
Crown of Midnight (2013)
The Assassin’s Blade (2014)
Queen of Shadows (2015)
Empire of Storms (2016)
Tower of Dawn (2017)
Kingdom of Ash (2018)
You can’t really do it wrong, if u read in in the published order 🤷🏼♀️
Some people recommend tandem reading Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn. I think this depend on personal preference. If u are someone who get easily frustrated or confused if a lot is happening at the same time and switching between books sounds like a hassle, don’t do the tandem read. If u think u can handle it then sure, do the tandem. You don’t need to decide until you’re there, and you could always try and then change your mind.
The thing is that Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn is happening at the same time, but mostly different characters and places. If you read Tower of Dawn before Empire of Storms you will get spoilers. And if you read Empire of Storms first you immediately want to continue to the last book.😅
*The alternative to reading it in the published order is to read it in the chronological order where u begin with The Assassin’s blade and then Throne of Glass and after that the same as the published order.
**Sorry if there are mistakes, English is not my first language. But I hope this helped. ❤
Omg yay!!! So glad you're back reading!! Also you and Larissa are both planning to read Throne of Glass in the winter you guys should try and buddy read?? omg that would be amazing!! I read Throne Of Glass and Acotar back in January and February of this year and love both so much. So excited for you to read both!
Yesss so excited for you to read ACOTAR!! I feel the need to say that while I felt lukewarm abt the first book, the second book is one of my favorite books of all time so don't feel discouraged if you don't love the first one!!!
I don’t usually a silent watcher, but you getting the TOG series makes so unbelievably happy 😭 I absolutely love watching your videos. You’re my comfort UA-camr and I watch your vids whenever I feel down or when I want to relax 🫶🏻
You need to read Throne of Glass in the order it is in the box set! Assassins Blade first!! That is the chronological order! It helps you have more of an emotional connection to our main character! ❤️
omg steph book vlog we are SO BACK 🩵
doing my night skincare routine while listening to you, fav activity 💗 love book vlogs!!!
I love this type of reading vlogs, because I don’t like the sit down videos, so I really enjoyed watching this one. 🥰🥰🥰
For the reading order of tog I think it depends on what you prefer if you’d prefer to get background on our magic characters first and have inside on some things then read assassins blade first throne of glass second crown of midnight third heir of fire fourth queen of shadows then go into a tamdem read of empire of storm and tower of dawn this is how I read it and it made it a better time for me personally
Before reading TOG I was also super stuck on which order to read it in. I decided to read it in the order it comes in the packaging which is Assasians blade first and I will always 100% recommend it first. It takes place before the series starts and you feel such a deeper connection with the main character and learn a lot about her story and how she ends up where she is in the first book. It overall makes the series a lot easier to understand and adds a much deeper emotional connection.
30:20 is legit me whenever i THINK about any book I've read
I have missed these videos way too much 😅 So glad you made one!
YAYYY BOOK RANT VLOGS!!! i honestly prefer these than sit down ones :)))) this is honestly so motivating after having a summer slump too so this fall air fr got us locked in again
I think the shelves by your stairs would look great if they were backed with pretty wallpaper. You wouldn't see too much of it but would definately give the quaint vibe your going for I think. Maybe even a hanging flower on the right hand side so it can drape down the side. Just a thought! Xx
For tog i would definitely recommend reading Assassins Blade first because it helps you connect to the main character a lot more and without giving anything away it really gives you the full experience. If you read it 3rd or 4th you would almost surely feel like you missed out on something by not reading it first.
A suggestion for decorating your bookshelves, find large unique or vintage coffee or tea cups and saucers and sit these on your books.
So excited to see the title of this video - love the enthusiasm you have for books ! The bookshop at 3.56 looks so cool 😊📚
I miss your book videos so much! Am back you are back, emotionally available to do it again! 💜💜💜 I do like your weekly vlogs but book ones are my favourite!
a book with the forbidden romance trope is the friendship study!!
Girl, I feel you on the extra appendage. I have a Kobo Libra Color and I call it my emotional support kobo. He comes with me everywhere 😂
i personally read assassin's blade first and i don't regret it, it made me like our main character so much more and allowed me to understand some of the references in the first book immediately, so i recommend!
i was literally just thinking i missed your book videos!!! omg so happy you posted this
Obsessed with the reintegration of book content from Steph
I needed this video!!!! I’m also trying to fall back in love for reading this year coz life kinda took over and stopped me from reading for a bit last year and to see u so happy about reading again genuinely makes me so happy and excited for reading!!!
I'm so excited!! I love watching your life vlogs but I also love seeing your book content, so this is going to be so fun eeee
OMG I'm soo happy you are starting the Throne of Glass series. I literally just finished the last one two days ago and it was amazing. Here is the Romantic version on the reading guide to these books(def recommend). There is two books that you should tandem read because it is happening at the same time. I believe there is a guide online of which chapters to read at what time or you can do the audiobook (which is did for those two). You are going to love them!!!!!
1. Throne of Glass
2. Crown of Midnight
3. Heir of Fire
4. The Assassin’s Blade (novella)
5. Queen of Shadows
6. Empire of Storms (tandem read with #7)
7. Tower of Dawn (tandem read with #6)
8. Kingdom of Ash
Ommmgggggg Steph I just strated reading wild eyes, even though English is not my first language and it’s difficult, anyway I picked it because you recommend it but I am sooooo in love like really thank you I don’t remember the last time I started reading a book and enjoyed it this much
I love you so much
Okay my time to shine.....
there are a lot of different ways to read throne of glass.
1) read assassin blade as the prologue it is (so begin reading that first)
2) read assassin blade after crown of midnight, because after crown of midnight you would want the fmc background which is found in assassin blade) **the way I did it, the only dislike is you kinda go back in time so the need for more from the book kinda gets lost**
3) finally, there is a romantic way to read the throne of glass series and its reading assassin blade after Heir of Fire.... I feel like i never see people read it this way but I mean, if you want to amp up the romance, read it this order
Also, the dreaded tandem read.....Tower of Dawn (book 6) and Empire of Storms (book 5). I suggest the tandem because its during the same time but just different areas. I also see that some people get bored of Tower of Dawn if they don't tandem, but truly it ruins the emotional depth of Tower of Dawn (my personal favorite). Tower of Dawn is so crucial for character development as well as the plot and tying areas together.
This is the 1st video of yours I have watched and I really enjoyed watching! I’m so glad you are loving your kindle - totally life changing ❤ I still love physical books but sometimes the kindle is just perfect
My favourite kind of videos!!!! THE best Sunday evening cosy viewing - I am sooooo excited for you to read Throne of Glass, I don't think anything will ever compare!! I read The Assasin's blade first, and I didn't do the tandem read - I thought if I read them how SJM intended then that should be the best order!! ❤❤
Let me just grab my cozy blanket and something to eat
. I'm sat 💗 my day has been madeeeeee
for that wall unit, i would mostly focus putting books on that bench and then doing a random thing for each of those cubes with the exception of cute books. so like vases, flowers, pictures, all that :)
I actually love this format so much!!!! ❤❤❤
this is so fun and i'm so excited for the vlogs but i hope you're not overworking yourself. especially bc you edit everything yourself as well
I could read forever on my kindle. I LOVEEEE it so much. It’s so light and it doesn’t hurt my arms
You should definitely start with assassin's blade even if it's emotionally painful, because it gives you a lot more context about the main character in throne of glass.
that park was such a beautiful spot to read! but the sound of landscaping was funny 😂
i’ve been missing the book content! we got lucky with the long video thank you!
32:12 i'm going to cry right now. this books mean so much to me, so so so much. they're LONG but worth it so much, i just can't explain with just words how could she write this masterpiece.
i LOVED one dark window! i binged the duology in a day and a half, it really had me hooked
The 'right' order to read TOG is the Assassin's blade as the third book but I think it hits better when you read it first! In the timeline, Assassin's blade comes first and in my opinion you care and love more the MC if you read it first:)
The witch series you’re describing makes it seem like the two main characters are relying on miscommunication to keep the relationship going despite knowing the stakes. Miscommunication gets such a bad rap in books but it’s such a good way to build suspense. The book sounds amazing.
LUV UR BOOK RELATED VIDEOS!!!
I was having a depressing month but when ever I see u , you give me positive energy so ❤ thank you for that
i would say read the assasins blade first definitely cuz reading it after the crown of midnight is just gonna make the throne of glass book so boring as they are directly connected like a perfect prequel to the whole series!!
I think I will actually sob once an acotar/tog reading vlog comes out. My favorite series with my favorite booktuber is the best thing ever
I love your vlogs but getting a book vlog today made my day. I was watching the video while transferring my annotations for Wild Eyes from my kindle to the book and finding out that you were going to do the same thing in the video was an awesome, funny moment for me. Great video Steph, I had so much fun watching it. ❤
OMG!! I was literally thinking a while ago that i hope Steph post something and here she is❤❤❤❤
This video came at just the right time for me Steph--please make more of these videos!!!! I always love to hear people talk about books and do more bookish things! It's actually what my own channel is all about hehe. Love you so much 💗
I LOVE that you’re doing book videos again!! ❤❤❤❤
Best way to read Throne of Glass is in order of publication:
Throne of Glass (2012)
Crown of Midnight (2013)
The Assassin's Blade (2014)
Heir of Fire (2014)
Queen of Shadows (2015)
Empire of Storms (2016)
Tower of Dawn (2017)
Kingdom of Ash (2018)
P. S. Kingdom of Ash has a minor spoiler for ACOTAR series (these universes are kinda connected), so I think it's best to read ACOTAR before Throne of Glass.
OMGGGG !!!! A FORTY MINUTE BOOK VIDEO !!!! I’m so happy ❤❤❤
GIRLLL!!! For Throne of Glass I am going to give you the reading order that I always recommend to people.
1. Throne of Glass
2. Crown of Midnight
3. Heir of Fire
4. Assassin's Blade (people will tell you to read this after crown of midnight or even before throne of glass but if you want this book to have more of an emotional impact I HIGHLY suggest reading it after Heir of Fire!!! It made me love it so much more than if i had read it first or after either of the first two books)
5. Queen of Shadows
6. Empire of Storms (WITH EoS & ToD you can always choose to do a tandem read because they are happening at the same time. There is a guide for it online that will tell you when to start and stop from one book and switch to the other. I didnt tandem read it when i first read the series because I wasnt aware of it but when my sister read it she did the tandem read and was so thankful she did because of the way EoS ends. But doing the tandem read is completely up to you!)
7. Tower of Dawn
8. Kingdom of Ash
This is the best reading order, in my opinion, if you want it to be more emotionally impactful! It's my favorite series I have ever read and I just know you are going to LOVE IT!!!
steph u have no idea how much ive missed u talking abt books I LOVE THIS
i just love watch book vlogs, i can’t explain why, but it’s so satisfying i guess. and in some sort of way, brings me comfort. 😁
I loved the false start so much! also the couples in the gold rush ranch series make an appearance in powerless in chestnut springs 🤭
thank you for this
read assassin's blade before throne of glass!!! and tower of dawn before empire of storms (or you can tandem read bc the events are happening at the same time)
I thought one dark window was a niche read for whatever reason, but so excited u decided to read it, I randomly read it almost two years ago ish and ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would, def opened up my love for those gothic inspired fantasy type books, and I hope you enjoy it as well♥
Harry Potter is the book series I recommend the MOST for the fall time
I LOVE IT
I'm going to be re-reading it this year!!! I AM SO EXCITED!
So happy you got Throne of Glass!!! I haven’t finished the whole series but I will never regret starting with The Assassins Blade and then Throne of Glass
This couldn't have come at more perfect time. I've been reading so much lately and just joined the Patreon! I've also been on the hunt for One Dark Window and honestly am so excited for it!
Reading order: I just finished the series and was recommended Assassins Blade first and HIGHLY recommend , also MUST do the tandem read for EOS and TOD ! It made it so much more enjoyable overall !
Yay I’ve missed your book videos! ❤
For Throne of Glass you can kind of pick your reading order to start with. You could read Assassin’s Blade first since it’s the prequel book and then go in release order from there, or you could start with Throne of Glass and then read Assassin’s Blade 3rd or 4th (it doesn’t really matter as long as you read Assassin’s Blade before Queen of Shadows, but I personally chose to read it 3rd so that’s what I would recommend)
And then you can also choose to do the Empire of Storms/Tower of Dawn tandem read since both books take place at the same time (I highly recommend the tandem read!) and you can find chapter reading guides for that online.
I hope that’s not too confusing lol
This was such a cool vlog!!!! and THRONE OF GLASS!!!! I read all the throne of glass books AND THEN read assassins blade last-- which I really liked because finishing throne of glass was so crazy - so getting to go back into the world to read assassins blade was so nice.
i was just having the worst day ever but watching this just made my day ilysm steph🩷🩷🩷
this gave me so much joy and motivation to keep reading. it feels like christmas morning with this vlog!!
40 minute reading vlog? Yes please
Aaaah I missed your book videos so much 🥹❤️ so happy they’re back!
I love Catherine Cowels books!!! I highly recommend her Lost and Found series, but just a tip, its not the most bingeable series because her plotlines tend to follow similar structures, but her books are so good
I love all your videos, your vlogs, your book/reading videos, and the combination like this video🩷 I just love “hanging out” with you🫶
Waitt i cant wait to read books to my children
I love your life vlogs but ngl i missed the book content soo happy to see you back in your element❤ can’t wait for more upcoming book related content 😊
A page changer remote and a stand to hold the kindle is the ultimate game changer ♥️📖
THANK YOU FOR BLESSING US GIRLBOSS!!! 📚 🥲💘💘💘✨
