I remember watching the Berlin Wall crumble live on tv as a child. Even at just 9 years old, i was brought to tears. If only i knew then, how truly remarkable witnessing that part of history was, because sadly most other historic events i've witnessed have been tragic.

I was living in Mannheim Germany when it happened! People were selling pieces of the wall! I now live east of Atlanta in the suburbs about 40 minutes from the city. There is a park in Suwannee GA that had a moment of a piece of the Berlin Wall to touch it you can feel a strong energy of triumph, fear, victory & anger! I can only imagine what the people felt as it was coming down! I shared this history with my 17 year old son he was amazed!

@@phoenixLeoRising333 it’s important to teach our kids about this stuff. It helps them to be more empathetic and to realize just how free they really are. I have a 19 year old daughter, and we’ve had LONG discussions like that especially about 9/11. It’s crazy to think it was that long ago, but 9/11 is not relatable to our children the way Pearl Harbor day wasn’t to us. THEY DIDN’T LIVE THROUGH IT. It was before their time. We’ve talked about where I was and what I was doing when it happened, how it affected me and made me feel. Plus, my brother had just joined the army about a year prior. What it was like for him and for the family, having him in Iraq for over 18 months, while I was pregnant with her!! We can’t forget these events, ever!!

I remember when the Berlin wall fell. There was a huge party as they were taking it down. David Hasselhoff was on the wall singing. I was pregnant with my oldest son. Reagan was President . How did we go from that to all the wars we've had since.

The guy with the iron lung I believed he died this year in his late 70's. Sad, he had to be spoon-fed.

I feel the same, work two jobs and barely get by month to month but I can eat, I can see beautiful things, I can see my family sometimes, I can watch the Matthews. I can’t complain. My grandpa was a Norwegian orphan in Seattle both his parents died when he was 12yrs old and he had to find his way

Alot of these things seem crazy and outrageous to us these days. It is amazing how much advancement in all areas, that has taken place in the last 150 yrs or so, especially compared to the long previous 6000yrs, or so, of recorded human history. These pictures and the stories behind them, should make all people living now, even the poorest or disadvantaged appreciate how comparatively easy we have it today. I think that is one thing that has contributed to the societal decay that has become SO prevalent, especially in the last 15 to 20 yrs.

2:57 after no sunlight, barely any food, and being in that small room 24/7, she wasn’t even recognizable anymore. That story always rattles me when I see the images and/or hear that her very own mother did that to her. 💔💔💔😭

So this was very interesting, it popped up in my feed and now I’m a new sub. The two headed child, I wonder if each brain had control of the one body?
My mom had polio as a child and told me stories of the big scary machine they would be put in, amazingly she survived and lived a very full life.
Thank you for sharing, much love and many blessings

Theres been another conjoined twin like this in the 90's. They were indian girls if im remembering correctly and they tried to surgically remove the twin resuting in both their deaths. They have videos of them and pictures. Its very unsettling. The other baby who couldnt make noise seemed to cry alot but they definitely were two different ppl.
