This boss fight combines the structure of the fight with Asriel with Asgore's fighting style, with the choice at the end of the boss fight just like that at the end of Photoshop Flowey's fight. I absolutely love it
Wdym, animation wise this is extremely superior to the original. I love the original Undertale but even i recognise the sheer quality increase of UT Yellow's sprite animations
i just realized how depressing it wouldve been for any neutral ending to occur and the souls go missing and martlet, starlo, and ceroba realize that clover’s sacrifice ended up being pointless
Really good game all around. Bittersweet ending no matter what you do. While I know why the ending is like this (undertales endings being ambiguous), I do wish there was a passive + passive ending Easter egg since in the base game it's hinted that the children are revived. It would be really sweet to see the monsters talking about how the barrier is broken and later finding that their old friend is alive again on the ridge/other side
К несчастью, я так понимаю, что в Undertale нету каноничной концовки, поэтому показывать такую сцену было бы нелогично. Хотя, признаю, мне тоже очень хотелось бы чтобы это было правдой.
I love how before phase 2 starts when ceroba attacks you over and over when she charges up she looks at you with tears in her eyes then looks away before firing
for a fan made game it sure delivers that punch to the feels yes i cryed well watching and also figures flowey is around because of course so then this takes place before undertale as two souls which we would know the next soul that fell and would cause flowey problems with there ability to alter the time line
The saddest part about playing Yellow is knowing damn well that Clover wasn’t going to make it out in one piece. It’s such a stab in the heart but a loved one as it follows up into Undertale.
From what I've noticed, I don't think Ceroba's mask actually grants her any power. Ceroba was literally in tears trying to kill you in the first phase. I believe the reason she wears the mask is to remind her of what she's fighting for and, more importantly, to hide herself from the atrocity she's trying to commit. As a result, her LOVE increases, giving her the power up we see in the 2 phase and beyond.
I just realized that at the end, the spare sound and effect that plays when you spare a boss in pacifist, happens, but instead of clover coming to terms with a monster, they're coming to terms with themselves. The friends they made, the deputy lessons they took, the monsters they danced with, the puzzles they solved, battles they endured... It made them realize that true justice is not to avenge the humans or destroy the monsters, true justice is to donate their SOUL. From how Undertale puts it, Monsters were sealed away because human feared them and their ability to absorb human SOULs, but the monsters never posed a threat themselves. That's what Clover realized, and it's beautiful :')
This is a bit of headcanon i imagine here, but: I imagine that Kanako in the end, "does" become an "Amalgamate" but she actually turns out to be a Very stable one, in part due to her status as a Boss Monster and that she barely had been melted alongside other monsters, and that Alphys actually, either due to the previous amalgamtes and her guilt from it, was more careful with how much DETERMINATION she injected. However Kanako is still a bit melty, she droops a little but its still very recognizable as Kanako and actually gets to be with Ceroba but she at first though overjoyed, she is still guilt ridden as she Ignored Chujin's warning of not testing her, feeling like a complete idiot fof doing it at all, but is slowly calmed by her friends with that "what happened, happened, but she still Loves her and she can understand" Though i could add that the other Amalgamates were only Released by Alphys after the True lab in Undertale because she was so deatly Afraid of showing the families of the fallen monsters to see them in such state, either Kanako is the first one let go, either since she is more "presentable" to monsters, or because Ceroba and friends got her out without Alphys knowing... Or she got out at the same time as the other amalgamates. Also also, imagining with this Kanako amalgamate, is that she can melt into a formless goop, but has an easier time resembling her Original form.
I'd like to imagine that in the True Pacifist, Ceroba and the others manage to save Kanako - hence her not being present in the true lab during the main game. Call it copium, but I wanna see a happy ending, damn it! ;-;
I think she was already fallen down, making it make sense that she was just some other amalgamate. And they're saved at the end too, so I suppose it could be worse. I saw another commenter suggest she's the one who tucks you into bed
i kind of feel like saving kanako would trivialize ceroba's arc because her main conflict is (at least partially) forgiving herself after what she did to kanako and moving on edit fixed syntax
I think my favorite thing from this fight was when you first shoot from your soul when you destroy her projectille she has a few frames where she is shocked that that happend

Yeah, I couldn't beat this one. Got up to the last phase but I just didn't have the patience nor the will to keep up. So yeah, now I'm here, watching this. Maybe one day I'll finish the fight myself but, my god, there's just way too much going on too fast for me to figure out what to do and how to dodge. Not only that, but if you’re on a later phase, such as, y’know, the final one, and you just don’t have the time and you want to give your computer a break because you don’t think leaving the game on just to save your progress is a good idea, well then, guess you’ll have to start all over, all the way back to the first phase that is still pretty hard. So, maybe I won’t finish it, considering that I now know the ending. Idk how you people have the time or skill to beat games like this. Not even Undertale Pacifist was this hard, obviously. Idk, maybe I am being a bit too dramatic about this. I did enjoy the game nonetheless, despite the difficulty spike in the end. I know most games are like that, and I can see how a challenging game can be compelling, but JEEZ. Also, another thing. I’m really glad that Dalv appeared in the game again in a more meaningful way and even where he can interact with the other characters. I was afraid that he would have almost no impact in the game overall because Dalv was like, the most major character we knew in the demo, which was like, released freakin 7 years ago. So yeah, really happy about that.
i believe in you! i was fuckin terrible at dodging bullets this entire game (i died so many times, even to the first boss), but through DETERMINATION (and mounds of patience) (and luck) i did eventually make it. My strategy was basically try to dodge everything as well as possible, spam Z whenever dodging wasn't so hard that i couldn't, try to stay at around 15-20 health, and use Remember when i didnt need to heal (also the dash ability is always useful). Don't get too stressed if you happen to mess up on an attempt, because you _will_ eventually get it + getting stressed distracts you i think the secret bosses of Deltarune might have also helped prepare me for how tough this battle is lol
@@TheFlyfly Yea that's true. I'm pretty prone to stress. There was a time I made it to the 4 bells in the final phase but I didn't press X in time when one of the bells exploded and I was in low health and didn't have any items left other than the Golden Cactus, which I'm pretty glad I kept up until this battle. It was really useful. I wished I knew about the other secrets (I totally forgot how to get the Pear in the demo). Anyway, even after that event I still kept going but eventually, I gave up, but once I do another Pacifist run again, I may do better now that I know about the secrets. So yeah, thanks for the reply. I needed that.

If I had a nickel for every time I felt bad beating up a mask-wearing widow who has also lost a kid and done messed up stuff after, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice (Roland LoR)
This ending actually made me full on cry when I played through it. I cried so much and even now watching this knowing full well what’s going to happen, I still cry. I don’t think I’ve ever cried to a game before other than this. I would have if I were older to experience Undertale, but at the time I was too young to understand and I watching some UA-camrs played it. This game truly lives up to the quality of Undertale, it’s a masterpiece.

They willing offered their soul .. and we see why toriel left the castle ... why she left asgore cause she couldn't bear to see another lost I do hope we see the rest of the souls stories being told in upcoming games
Usually when video games make me emotional, it's when I can connect a scene to something that has happened in my life. Undertale Yellow didn't do that, yet I've never cried so much from a videogame in my life. Undertale made me emotional, but Undertale Yellow legitimately made me break down in tears.
Almost killing means they didn’t. Killing means they did. One could either NOT have killed a person or they could have. Not killing 3 people is better than killing 1
The point still stands, Ceroba was fully ready to kill Clover, plus Martlet and Starlo if they stood in her way. It was never Clover's intention to kill Ceroba, and was only a self-defense measure on their part. heck, Ceroba fully admits that she's long gone. She was, quite literally, asking for it.
@@ord3r781no? Ceroba was pretty much holding back during the whole battle, because unlike some other people (Flowey) She didn't want to kill Clover. And like, self defense doesn't really justify killing someone (At least, most of the time)
She fought until she was kneeling on the floor, literally unable to take another swing at them. If that isn't fighting with intent to kill, I don't know what is. As for the self defense thing, yeah, it doesn't really justify killing, but as I stated earlier, Ceroba herself admitted she was nearly insane. Obviously, it was possible to help her recover, but in the moment, after that heck of a battle, you would be forgiven for thinking she was beyond saving.

@@Alignni think the stats in og undertale are supposed to be the CANON stats for each monster for example asriel has infinite atk and def and probably hp as well yet in the game files asriel has a regular atk and def stat because not only does it give a scale for his in game damage but also literally giving him infinite atk would make him oneshot the player which would just be unfair
@@AlignnUndertale Stats are canon and matter.

I like how they said that Yellow is "Justice," and there's a lot of speculation about it. Coming down there with the intent of getting justice for the previous children, when in the end, what makes "Justice" turn into "Revenge?"
True Pacifist - “Justice”
Flawed Pacifist - “Judgement”
Neutral - “Consequence”
Genocide - “Vengeance”
Flowey spells out his views on the yellow soul in his boss fight, and they align with the game’s endings pretty well.
the two aren’t always at odds! but that doesn’t mean they’re one and the same
Insert geno route
And the determination soul slowly gets consumed by hate and transformed into hate and isolation due to your *(LOVE = Level of Violence which is the capacity to hurt someone)* and *(EXP = Execution points which is the number of pain you inflict onto someone)* which is said by sans on the end of your first neutral run) and this happens as your doing a genocide run

I got this ending by managing to SPARE every monster I came across. I didn't have the heart to commit Genocide. On top of all that, I left my SAVE file as is when Flowey decides whether to RESET or WAIT. I do believe that this is how it should be.
I did neutral, then genocide and because I felt guilty I went on my way to spare everyone (even the frogs) and interacted with everything. Basically doing true pacifist and I'll leave it like this
I replayed undertale recently, and I actually got so emotional, and when flowery gave me “The Choice” I just kind of closed the game. I felt like it was just the thing to do. The way these games really manipulate your feelings is wild.
@deadchannel7895 I can just watch that on other playthroughs. Really, I can't bring myself to actually kill any of those monsters.
@z794hfbw8I Funny enough, Flowey criticizes you in Undertale for doing exactly just that, not having the guts to play the route yourself and instead discover it by watching someone else play.
I only did genocide to kill flowey, worth it

The greatest endings to a fangame I've ever been able to witness in my lifetime. I only wish to see more masterpieces like this.
Games normally don’t have a super emotional effect on me, but I was in tears after that group hug…
For me, survivor's ending in rainworld will always make me feel worse, but this ending is up there in sadness
i just realized how depressing it wouldve been for any neutral ending to occur and the souls go missing and martlet, starlo, and ceroba realize that clover’s sacrifice ended up being pointless
Omega Flowey :/
Holy Sh*t that ending made me literally start crying. Oh God, I can see why this game is so popular.
But makes me think, if the red soul doesn’t reset and end with the omega flowey fight, the barrier would still be closed which is sad
And if he did reset, he would have resetted what you talked about
К несчастью, я так понимаю, что в Undertale нету каноничной концовки, поэтому показывать такую сцену было бы нелогично. Хотя, признаю, мне тоже очень хотелось бы чтобы это было правдой.
see you, surface cowboy...
Ayyeeee cowboy bepop
I love how before phase 2 starts when ceroba attacks you over and over when she charges up she looks at you with tears in her eyes then looks away before firing
for a fan made game it sure delivers that punch to the feels yes i cryed well watching and also figures flowey is around because of course so then this takes place before undertale as two souls which we would know the next soul that fell and would cause flowey problems with there ability to alter the time line
Ngl, when ceroba screams and the music started, I felt a chill, everytime i retry i felt that lol
As a result, her LOVE increases, giving her the power up we see in the 2 phase and beyond.
i really love how they acknowledged that clovers gear is in waterfall, where they put clovers stuff down
Idk if anyone noticed, but before phase 2 when she charges the attack you can see her turn to face you with a tear in her eye at this part here 8:13
This is the most sprite movement I've ever fucking seen and it's amazing
Peak fangame.
This is a bit of headcanon i imagine here, but:
I imagine that Kanako in the end, "does" become an "Amalgamate" but she actually turns out to be a Very stable one, in part due to her status as a Boss Monster and that she barely had been melted alongside other monsters, and that Alphys actually, either due to the previous amalgamtes and her guilt from it, was more careful with how much DETERMINATION she injected.
However Kanako is still a bit melty, she droops a little but its still very recognizable as Kanako and actually gets to be with Ceroba but she at first though overjoyed, she is still guilt ridden as she Ignored Chujin's warning of not testing her, feeling like a complete idiot fof doing it at all, but is slowly calmed by her friends with that "what happened, happened, but she still Loves her and she can understand"
Though i could add that the other Amalgamates were only Released by Alphys after the True lab in Undertale because she was so deatly Afraid of showing the families of the fallen monsters to see them in such state, either Kanako is the first one let go, either since she is more "presentable" to monsters, or because Ceroba and friends got her out without Alphys knowing...
Or she got out at the same time as the other amalgamates.
Also also, imagining with this Kanako amalgamate, is that she can melt into a formless goop, but has an easier time resembling her Original form.
I think they said she's the spoon (the one that tucks you in). So yes, very stable
I'd like to imagine that in the True Pacifist, Ceroba and the others manage to save Kanako - hence her not being present in the true lab during the main game. Call it copium, but I wanna see a happy ending, damn it! ;-;
I think she was already fallen down, making it make sense that she was just some other amalgamate. And they're saved at the end too, so I suppose it could be worse. I saw another commenter suggest she's the one who tucks you into bed
i kind of feel like saving kanako would trivialize ceroba's arc because her main conflict is (at least partially) forgiving herself after what she did to kanako and moving on

Don't get too stressed if you happen to mess up on an attempt, because you _will_ eventually get it + getting stressed distracts you
i think the secret bosses of Deltarune might have also helped prepare me for how tough this battle is lol
Try to manage your items, and if you’re above 15 hp use hope to get hit an extra time
@@Not_Nik0 Yeah another mistake I made that I think would've helped was that I wasn't aware of Hope or the ACT options until like the third or final phase. Yeah that would probably help.

Oh, so when Ceroba almost kills 3 of her friends, Starlo instantly forgives her. But when WE kill her, we’re “lower than dirt.”
His best friend was just killed, and he doesnt even know what happened during the battle.
Cut him some slack.
